I’ll die before I call him daddy… Within hours of reaching Chicago, I’m taken. Strung up in front of the most dangerous man in Chicago. Spartak Volkov expects me to cower to him and give up my family.
He wants my submission. He wants me to betray the people I love. He wants to use me to end the war.
None of that scares me, though. It’s the sick desire in his eyes when he looks at me. The way he calls me baby girl. The scariest part of all, the way my body reacts to his touch.
The man is not right in the head. He’s dark, depraved, and everything I shouldn’t want. And yet, in his capture I feel protected and wanted. His brutal ways are addictive and I fear I’ll never want to leave.
I vowed to never call him daddy, but he’s peeling back my layers and laying bare my deepest and darkest desires. Perhaps we’re not so different after all…
Brutal Daddy is the fourth book in the Chicago Mafia Dons series. This book is a dark mafia romance involving a captive romance, dark themes and certain subjects that may upset the reader. It has no cliffhanger a happily ever after ending, and can be read as a standalone.
If you are looking for a bratva romance with insta everything on the menu… then this book might be for you.
I was so looking forward to reading this book because it was mafia with captivity. But my instant yes turned into a sad nope. I appreciate a spicy read, but I at lest like to have character development and not have an insta relationship. When he approached her and informed her you will call me “Daddy” I should have stopped reading knowing it was not for me. Who just informs their love interest/captive to call them something so intimate with no connection or work behind it?
You always know you can depend on Bianca Cole when your looking for something a little extra naughty. There were quite a few kinks addressed in this book and I'm here for all of it. Yes there's steam but thats not all there is. She also gives you insight into her characters as well as a story line that usually connects throughout the series. If you're looking for steam with spankings, 🔪play and an Antihero who uses the term of Endearment babygirl then this book is for you.

Style: Dark Romance (Mafia) Story: 3.85/5 Enjoyment: 4/5 Dark Level: 2/5 Sexual Level: SEX-CITINGLY APPEALING Triggers: Yes Violence: Yes Male: Crazy & Possessive Series: 4 Pages: 344 Audio: No Kindle Unlimited: Yes
STORY: WHAT I LIKED: Spartak was a very dark person. The past and the present keep making him who he is. You got Alphas and then you got cavemen, Spartak goes under caveman. Him wanting Imalia was intense. Imalia, as strong as she was, was definitely wishy washy as in no no yes yes. Like the author's stories, the romance aspect dominates the beginning and the latter have the mafia/intrigue aspect take over.
WHAT WAS SO SO: The story, though not a novella/insta rom still felt fast pace and quick the way their connection/chemistry developed. This part is a me thing, I read another book by the author with the age gap didn’t really bother me, this one, age gap was ok. Age gaps are a hit or miss for me and sometimes it depends for me how big the gap is as I don’t like them that big. I am glad though that the Imalia is 26 and not 18.
SEXUAL CHEMISTRY The author is out there when it comes to her sex scenes. In some crazy way, it’s like you look forward to what craziness the characters will do during those scenes. No issues there for me personally, as I know what to expect from the author.
SECONDARY CHARACTERS: The author always has interesting characters. I liked that she uses the characters in each both. It builds an anticipation when waiting on the next character’s story/book. Camillia, Mia Maxim (in this story, not a fan of Maxim, but I get him as well). So many more that makes up this series.
OVERALL: Was I entertained? Yes Did I like the story? Yes Would I read the other books in the series? Yes!!
TRIGGERS: violence, childhood sexual abuse and mention of rape.
NOTES: No ow/om intimacy, no cheating, age gap 26-46, consensual non consent rape play mentioned.
****I don't equate these stories with reality. It is a question of personal taste and what you want or want to tolerate with the books that you read. I know we all have different views and preferences when it comes to what we read. I based my book reviews on my preferences and what I like, and although these preferences may not be the same for others, I hope that the review was helpful.
Loved the characters, their chemistry. Good story, but had some issues.
This is the 4th book in Bianca Cole's Chicago Mafia Doms series. While some characters repeat, each book is a standalone dealing with a different couple. I've only previously read the 5th book (Cruel Vows) in this series. I really liked the story, but had some issues with it. First, there were too many typos and errors...mispelled words, singular nouns with plural verbs (or vice versa). This is just sloppy editing. Typically, I can overlook one or two, but when I find this many in a book I'll deduct half or one star (depending on number and type of errors).
So now to the story itself. First, in my opinion, the pacing was off. While there were a few times when I couldn't put it down, there were also times when I found it somewhat boring and tired of reading it so would just put the book down to do something else. It took me almost 4 days to finish this one. (I'm retired so usually get through a book in 1-2 days.)
Second, I really hate when the H wants to be called, "Daddy" by the h, particularly in sexual situations. I just find it weird, maybe because it has a patina of pedophilia to me. So why did I buy a book titled "Brutal Daddy"? Because Soj Manii is on the cover and the story did sound interesting. It was, I''ll get to that in a minute. (This is a personal prefrence so not considered in my rating.)
Finally, this is supposed to be a standalone with an HEA. While we get the HEA, we are left hanging on some issues. I would like to have known who the traitor was in the H's family. I'd like to have read about the reconciliation with the h's family. Instead, we get a brief reference that it was a family member and not who they initially suspected (hinted at throughout the story), but we're never told who. Apparently that's "a story for another time." (Guessing more books in the series because I've read #5 and it's not revealed there. As to reconcilation and peace with her family, we only get a short reference to her mother coming around because of grandchildren, and that the warring gangs of Chicago had to come together because of a larger threat that a member of the H's own famly posed to them all. (Is this a reference to the traitor? Again...who is it? How was he discovered? Why is it such a big secret?).
What I did love about ths story. Without giving details of the characters and their history, I'll just say I loved that he recognized a kindred spirit, that he recognized her wants and needs even though she tried to hide them. I loved that he teaches her she doesn't have to conform to societies norms and that it's not wrong to feel as she does. Most of all, I loved that this supposed brutal, unfeeling man was capable of showing love, caring and compassion for the woman he felt was made for him. (One of my biggest complaints in book 5 of this series (Cruel Vows) was that the H, who was supposed to be so enamored of the h after their first encounter that he negotiates a deal to include her, then treats her coldly and cruelly until almost the end. Hated him through most of that story.) In this one, I loved the H throughout. He was always looking to please and pleasure, give her what she needed even choices.
I struggled with a rating for this book because I really did enjoy this oveall and I loved the main characters and their chemistry; but with the poor editing, the irregular pacing, and the incomplete ending... I was torn between 3 - 3.5 stars. Still...not a bad read; definitely better than book #5 in this series (Cruel Vows, I rated 2.75); in the end, I realize others might not have the same issues I did...so I gave it 3.5 stars. Read it and decide for yourself!
Spartak Volkov is a brutal mafia leader and kidnaps Imalia to get information in regards to her family. Sparks fly between them and then he wants more, her submission. This is a fast-paced dark mafia read with intense and sizzling scenes. Please be aware of the triggers as this isn’t for everyone. Entertaining read that draws you in with dark characters and a great story. I loved it.
I feel like I should have looked into this book before reading it. In my opinion this was probably one of the worst book I have read so far.
Now first of all, was this book smutty? yes it sure was. Did it have age gap? Yes! He can literally be her dad. But did it have plot? not much.
Once I started the book I felt as if it was so fast paced between the characters. The female main character (i forgot their names tbh) gets kidnapped right away from her father’s enemy. I would have liked if the author would have set up her character first before throwing her to the wolfs. As well as, I would have enjoyed the mmc plotting her kidnapping and why.
The mmc kidnaps her and right from the start of her kidnapping it starts to get smutty all because she saw him and thought to herself “oooh he is hot”. Like um what?! They should have had her pissed at him and add angst between the characters. After that it just becomes them just getting it in. But we don’t get development. It gave very much insta love and I have read other insta love books and those have the plot set up and characters personality better developed than this.
Would I recommend? umm nah, I have better recommendations for the age gap trope or even father’s enemy trope that would be wayy better than this one.

Simply wonderful read, dark and sexually charged Mafia Italian and Russian combatants
Spartek Volkov is the Pakhaan of the Russian Bratva and they are currently at war with the Italians Bratva and when he discovers that one of their females are flying into the airport for a family wedding, he sets up an abduction which is a success.
What a wonderful Birthday gift an Italian Princess but he had not expected to feelings he would have when he removed the sack from her head, initially he had been going to torture her and then kill her nut now he has decided that he is going to keep Imalia as she has the same dark desires as him and he is turned on by her more than he can rationally fathom.
As the two families are battling with each other it is very apparent that the two families have no central ground and now that Sparteks son has been shot by one of the Italians at a meeting and nearly killed all bets are off. It is obvious that there is a mole in their organisation and when he confirms who it is he will skin them alive, no one not even family sells him out and lives to see another day.
As he continues to toy with his prisoner Imalia he has decided that she is his Baby Girl and that he is her Daddy but she is refusing to use his title and so he continues to punish her, he is determined to gain her submission but she is as stubborn as he is strong.
This is a very sexually charged read and it seems that both Spartek and Imalia have secrets they have buried deep down inside and they have formed the personalities and traits the show to the outside world and as you read this book you discover the darkness they have lived through and some of the horrors they have seem.
I guarantee that once you begin reading this book you will not be able to put this book down until you reach the end and discover the final outcome. I assure you that you will love every moment of this book it is simply a fantastic read. I voluntarily received and review an Advanced Reader Copy I thoroughly enjoyed the book and look forward to reading any future publications; keep up all the great writing.

Buckle up this is a wild ride, dangerous men, alpha personified, possessive, oh, so gorgeous, brooding all the makings of a deliciously dark story 😊. There will be guilt, suspense, violence, kidnapping, revenge taken out on the wrong person, paying for your father’s crimes, lies, lies, lies, and then you have hope, and love. By the time you’ve figured out who is who and what is what, you’re already hooked, and you may as well give up the fight and prepare yourself for an all-nighter! Can’t say I didn’t warn you. Imalia sweet, niece of a mafia don (Italian) headed to Chicago but upon arriving she is taken considering her family she guesses why she was taken but what she couldn’t understand is why the Russian took her and she has been taught they are the worst, or she thought (I mean they did kidnap her). Spartan sexy as all get out pakhan with a daddy kink, but not much time to play with everything that is on his shoulders mainly stopping the war and the only way to do that is the get the attention of the Italians so kidnapping his niece seemed like a good attention grabber or a bargaining chip. Although, neither of them expected the chemistry between them to be insanely intense and the magnetic pull is proving to be too strong for either of them to ignore one another but she isn’t giving in that easy the darkness within her craves him and his darkness calms hers. They have a hate /love relationship or more like a hate/want relationship they say it is a thin line between love and hate and the two of them prove that to be true 😊. The truth of it is he actually see her the real her not the front she has to put on for her family or the world around her because she worked so hard to hide who she was inside from everyone but with daddy she can just be herself and he loves all of it but will she ever stop fighting him (even though he doesn’t want her to), will the war continue, her family is coming for her but will she leave with them, will he let her go or fight to keep her, and is there a HEA written for them?.

This story is definitely a dark mafia story with BDSM, rough sex scenes, older man - younger woman, non consent to consensual and a bit more than I have previously read before. Be aware if any of this is a trigger for you. Spartak is the Russian Pakhan in Chicago and with being at war with the Italians he decides to have the Don’s niece, Imalia kidnapped when she flies into Chicago. The original plan was to torture her for information but once he reveals her face he knows he will enjoy this birthday gift! Imalia puts up a strong denial that he turns her on once he tells her his name but Spartak pushed all the right buttons to get her to come to life under his control. Spartak knows he’s made mistakes in the past with his ex and kids so when he sees how Imalia fits him he tries to make the right decisions to bring her to him on her own. Imalia is taken away from Spartak and she goes willingly to figure out what is really going on between them. When they come together a second time outside forces pull them apart again testing their faith in one another. This is a great story with one heck of an alpha who needs total control in and out of the bedroom. I received a free copy of this book via Booksprout and am voluntarily leaving a review.

Wow loved this book it was amazing, the story was written well and the characters were amazing. This story was one that pulls you in from the start, the emotions sent the endorphins rushing down and burning 🔥 inside. There was so much action, suspense, twist and turns violence, enemies, torture, kidnapping, dominants, spankings, rough, raw, kinky, lust, passion, romance, and love. Imalia is single young beautiful lady her uncle Remy wants to marry her off, Imalia's mother told her brother no. She gets kidnapped by her family's enemies now they will have to find her. Spartak Volkov is Russian Bratva as the Pac his son was shot. That started a war and the Italians would pay, Imalia knows her uncle Remy is scared of Spartak, will her uncle be able to get her out uninjured.

The tittle fit perfectly with Spartak. This Russia mafia Pakhan is one brutal, sadistic, crazy, psycho in or out of the bedroom.
İt wasn't Stockholm syndrom his and Imalia's chemistry. İt was him opening her eyes and honest to her self of what she really need. He sees who she really is, as simple as that. And for Spartak to recognize his soul mate in the crazy, twisted, dark, kinky f**ckery.
So, if you love over the top dominant anti hero. Older man. Daddy/baby girl BDSM. Knife play, pain, rough kink. Non consent turn to consensual non consent play. Basicly they are rough, dirty smegsi scenes.... If you love all above, this book is for you.
The only reason for the four star was, i didn't catch who's the rat....

The previous book in this series was the first one I had ever read by Bianca Cole, and I enjoyed it enough to know I wanted to read more, so I borrowed the first book in the series from KU, and there it has sat for a couple months. Then I saw this one, and jumped on it. I’m glad I did, because this one is my favorite so far.
Heads up- there is consensual non-consent in this book. If you are ok with characters exploring Rape Fantasies, then you shouldn’t have any problems with this book at least as far as that goes. While reading Evil Prince, I wanted to read more going on in the war, and this book delivered that! There are plenty of examples of how that plays out, so thank you Ms. Cole, I appreciate the inclusion of that part of the story. Yes, I would recommend this book!.

This is the fourth installment of the Chicago Mafia Dons series, while it is standalone, it would help to understand some of the story starting with the first one. I never thought I would like Spartak Volkov after how the story has progressed so far. He kidnaps Imalia Allegro to get back at her uncle Remy Morrone, with the intent of returning her when he gets what he wants. One look in her eyes and he knows he has found a kindred spirit and will never let her go.
This book is fast paced romantic suspense with dark undertones. Spartak and Imalia have such chemistry between them which leads to some really hot erotic BDSM scenes, be forewarned these two love paid and blood play.
I am looking forward to the her cousin Massimo’s story next.
I received an Advance Readers Copy of this book with no obligation to write a review.
Wow, Brutal Daddy was so intense from kidnapping to waging war on his enemy. Spartak was a cruel man who had been abused by his father and uncle. The brutality caused him to make decisions that would have destroyed a weaker man. He had a bad relationship with his children. Imalia was the niece of his arch nemesis and Spartak kidnapped her after her uncle shot his son Maxim. Spartak brought out her true self of being a submissive and got off on pain. Two people who had an understanding of each other fell in love and on their wedding day her family took her and shot Spartak. One of the best in the Chicago Mafia Dons series. It showed just how brutal Spartak could be and the love of the submissive who tamed him. Great read and I recommend this book.
Spartak is the Pakhan of the Bratva and is a cruel man but he is starting to see that not ever decision he made with his children and wife may have been the right one and he begins to question some of his choices. All of this has come to light when he kidnapped Remy’s niece Imalia. She is making him feel things he’s never felt before. She embraces his darkness and embraces it because she herself has that same darkness. Spartak is at war but he knows he can’t let her go and he must convince her to embrace her darkness and do it with him! The daddy kink is throughout and there is definitely some dark/violent kinks as well but the way they come together embraces the primal need they have for each other. You will enjoy their story even though Spartak isn’t everyone’s favorite character you get to see a new light from him when he is protecting and loving Imalia. Happy Reading!
This books is good if you love a good dark romance. Lots of CNC, some kp and some bp. If those things aren’t your thing then this book isn’t for you.
If they are please read cause it has all the things. Age gap! Daddy smink!! Ugh!! So good. A girl finally being able to live her truth despite her family’s insistence to be something different. Spartak may seem like the wrong fit for Imalia but he’s everything she’s been missing.
I normally hate enemies to lovers because some of the stuff said and done during the enemy my phase are just things I can’t see anyone coming back from! But Bianca walked that line just perfectly for me!

This book wasn't hard to get suckered into the storyline is just so quick and riveting you just want more. The only problem is this is a book that follows 2 other stories that don't paint Spartak in such a great light..and being a lover of pain both receiving and dishing it out has you hating him but also loving how protective he has become of Imalia. Imalia is the daughter of a Mafia boss lady and also the niece of Spartaks enemy she finds herself taken and even though she is supposed to be scared she finds herself overly attracted and finding it hard to resist the not so vanilla way he is treating her. A great second chance for this older age Pakhan. A book I couldn't put down until I knew the outcome of their relationship.
Honestly, I enjoy Bianca Cole’s books even if it skeeves me out to read something with “daddy” in the title. They are always dark, spicy and full of ridiculously fun content. These books are meant to be easy, fun reads even if they are dark! I particularly enjoyed Spartan’s character because he was 100% crazy and proud of it. I haven’t read the other books in this series but based on this one im definitely checking out the books featuring his children Viktoria and Maxim! Excited to read Massimo’s as well. Overall this book had lots of great story line and was a quick, fun mafia read- high recommend for all romance readers!.

I'm not a reader of the daddy variety normally but this series I do read. The men are so morally gray and dominant that I read them for that. This book has more kinks than any of the others so far in the series. Imilia is the niece of a rival mob boss. Spartak (weird name and it bugged me) kidnaps her. Little does he know she is perfect for him. Imilia has always known she had to suppress the real her. She had darkness inside of her and liked things her previous boyfriend wouldn't even venture to try. When she is taken captive by the mafia boss who puts the "K" in kinks she finds out that she can be herself with him. How do you tell your family that you are in love with their biggest enemy?
- dark mafia romance! the Russians steal from the Italians👀 age gap, daddy k!nk, instalove, 🔪 play, consensual noncon - you’ve never seen Stockholm Syndrome set in so quick WHEW - this is a reading one handed type of book - the smüt is excellent - “i will NEVER call you daddy” says it 100 pages in - well i didn’t see that coming so soon in won’t lie - Maxim is grating on me - i am so glad with her decision omg - IT JUST GETS KINKIER - CHRIST CAN THEY JUST HAVE ONE GOOD MOMENT - i was so stressed good god - i acc love them both so much?? - the fact that they went to each other 🥺 - i just needed a little bit more? like after their second escape it went straight to the epilogue and i wanted to read the fallout to it, yannoe? - THE EPILOGUE WAS FUCKING FILTHY AND SO SO GOOD
I received an ARC from the author and am voluntarily leaving my review. This is just as it says, a dark mafia romance with triggers and kinks. The Russian Pakhan an Italian princess come together with plenty of sparks that set them on fire. Spartak is older, ruthless, violent and dominant. He is everything that Imalia doesn't want to admit needing. Their story at the least contains rivalry, danger, betrayal, threats, darker BDSM, defiance, obsession, mistakes, lust and finally love. Good story for those who do not mind a darker romance.

Imalia neice of the Italian mafia Don is abducted by Spartak the Pakhan of the Russian Bratvia to take revenge on her uncle for shooting his son. She is afraid but when he uncovers her head she is surprised how she feels when she looks into his eyes. He has a dark possessive & even though she hates him she can't deny that she's enjoying it as she has a dark side to her aswell & he knows it. His plan to use her in their family war changes & even though they shouldn't be together they fit together perfectly. Their story has drama, steam over load, suspense & the dark secret of his past & sadistic side.

Brutal Daddy is the fourth book in the Chicago Mafia Dons series. This story does have triggers so be warned before you pick it up as there is some non-con/dub-con. The story is about Imalia and Spartak and has warring families between Mafia and Bratva, a kidnapping, action, suspense, violence, BDSM with a lot of variety and more. This may not be a match made in heaven but it becomes a match made of passion. This story is full on from start to finish and ends up taking the reader on a twisted, dark and very panty melting ride.
I received a copy of this book and am leaving my honest review. My opinions are all my own.
I love this series but I got stuck on an early mistake in the book and couldn’t go further. The airport in Chicago was called “Chicago International”. Anyone who flies near Chicago or has been through Chicago knows that there’s the world famous O’Hare and there’s Midway. Both of them have been mentioned in tons of literature bc they’re in the public domain. There is no “Chicago International”. For such a good & experienced author to make such a mistake, as if she’s never been to Chicago or read anything about Chicago… I couldn’t go further. Please Please Please get a better editor! You deserve better- and so do we!
Well this book continues in the deranged way the other Chicago Mafia books have, it seems all of the characters in these stories are somewhat insane and have certain requirements in their sex lives. Spartak Volkov is the Pakhan of the Russian Bratva and is somewhat insane he kidnaps the niece of his arch enemy but strangely falls for her Imalia is twenty years younger than him but very quickly falls under his spell their sexual deviances seem to work for them and then their troubles begin. These books are very dark and dirty there is alot of unusual sex and violence so aren't suitable for everyone.
2.5⭐️ This is a Dark Captive Mafia Romance and it definately delivers on that. If this is your genre, you'll love it. It's just not for me, obviously. It had consent issues, and I hated his insistance she call him 'daddy'. It made me feel ick about him. But he did grow on me to more the story went on.
The Sadomasochism (pleasure from giving and receiving pain) was definately not for me either.
I liked their relationship by the end and if I was more onboard with the things I mentioned, I probably would've given it a 3.5 stars. So nothing wrong with the book, just personal taste. I gave it a shot and now I know. 🙃
This is another solid entry for this wickedly enticing series. As always, I thought the writing was well done and I found the story gritty and engaging. I enjoy Daddy kink and love age gap, so I loved those elements of the story. Although, Spartak was a rougher Daddy than I personally prefer, I still found him quite hot. I can't say I was a huge fan of Imalia but that I chalk up to my own heroine pet peeves and really nothing else. I did love the heat, tension, drama, twists and raw emotions that fueled this tempting read. I am posting an unbiased, unsolicited review.
Spartak and Imalia has a truly unusual start to their relationship. Spartak is fighting a "war" against Imalia's uncle and he plans on using Imalia as a bargaining chip, but it does not seem to go to plan. Spartak cannot stop thinking about Imalia. Imalia is horrified when Spartak uncovers her true nature. This book is so well done and has wonderfully developed characters. I love reading Bianca Cole's work because it is always so intense and riveting.
