When I arrive at Briarcliff Academy, I'm just a girl looking for a fresh start after my mother's murder. But then I meet Chase Stone, the leader of the secret society that rules the the Nobles & Virtues.
Chase is everything I shouldn't dangerous, brooding, and completely irresistible. He's like a flame to my moth, drawing me in with his dark, intense gaze, always staring at me. Always watching.
At first, Chase is nothing but cruel. He bullies, intimidates and makes it his mission to force me out. But I can see through his tough exterior. I know there's something more to him, something that calls to the darkness inside me.
As we grow closer, I start to uncover the twisted secrets this society tries so hard to keep hidden. Chase warns me to stay away, but I can't resist the pull of danger. And the closer I got to the truth, the more perilous the answers become.
I don't care. Chase's obsession is now mine. I'm willing to navigate a world of power, privilege, and danger if it means unraveling the mystery of my mother's death, but at what cost?
With my heart torn between two paths, I can only choose one.
Secrets, lies, and seduction. Welcome to Briarcliff Academy. This dark, steamy romance will keep you guessing until the very end.
This series is exhausting. While it’s not short on twists and turns and some mystery, it was so over the top. Callie has to be the worst FMC I’ve encountered. This character does not know how to read a room. She acted desperate, she was naive or stupid or both. She wasn’t relatable. Not what I expected from this author as her other books Cruel & Broken Beauty are so much more. I read this series bc I wanted to learn more about Tempest & Rio in boarding school and what they went through. Callie and Chase are the main characters in this series yet I just couldn’t buy that they ever had any real established feelings for each other. Just so much missed opportunity in this series. I definitely skipped over so many pages bc it was always something. I’m still annoyed with Callie and there are some lose ends in this series. If you read it you will know.
