Hwa Gok is just a normal university student, until he sees a girl being attacked by the popular Lee Bin, and jumps in her defense. The only problem is that Lee Bin is more than meets the eye.
Lee Bin and Hwa Gok are university students. Lee Bin is a vampire who was feeding on a girl at a group date — and Hwa Gok found him, attacking him for doing so. Unknown what vampires are, Lee Bin goes to drink his blood but it tastes awful as it reveals Hwa Gok’s half-blood Lycan nature. Not only that, but they accidentally formed a blood link, where Lee Bin can see everything Hwa Gok does. Thrust into a supernatural world, these enemies somehow fall in love.
Hwa Gok suddenly starts to give off a sweet scent that everyone but himself can smell, and for Lee Bin it tumbled into them having sex. It’s revealed why Gok smells that way, and it ends up relating to why he can become pregnant — neither which he and Lee Bin were aware of.
Honestly, I loved Hwa Gok. He’s like a puppy and he looks so sad. The artist gives him the cutest expressions and he cries a lot — I love a crybaby character, I must admit. He was earnest and really wants to help people, even if he is a bit clueless at times. I loved him in general, being so sweet. A lot of people call him slow because he doesn’t pick up subtle things, which I could relate to. He also was insulted for his looks which I don’t get? He’s adorable!
Lee Bin took a bit more warming up to. At first he was an asshole but throughout the story you come to understand him more, and he shows his love and care for Hwa Gok so sweetly. I love that he takes care of him just exactly as he needs. They support and take care of each other, which is even more important. There was possessiveness for sure, and even Gok’s father points it out but — it worked for me. Even he had insecurities.
A lot of the romance is sad at first because the characters grapple with Lee Bin’s immortality, the issues surrounding the baby and how Lee Bin doesn’t really want it, and how they will really have their “happy ever after”. I felt sad for both of them, who wanted different things but at first couldn’t seem to find a way to have them. It’s complex and there is angst between them, but they do find their solutions. I cried a lot as Lee Bin really had to confront his fears. There’s certainly some co-dependency in this relationship, mostly on Lee Bin’s side. It makes sense though, because of his background and dedication.
The moments with family, memory making, and the baby were so cute!
In season 2, we move forward in time. Lee Bin and Hwa Gok are plenty happy. Their son, Lee Hwa, is grown up now as a lycan-human man. We are introduced to his love interest, Seolhyun, who he met in his childhood and now is a fellow student with him at university.
Lee Hwa grew up in America with queer parents, and so he’s a lot more open and friendly about such things. He’s very puppy like and protective, believing in love. He reminded me a lot of his father, Gok. His secret possessive streak is definitely from Lee Bin.
Ok Seolhyun is also a female lycan, but his memories have been altered to make him believe he is a male one. He is reserved and a little awkward, but genuinely cares about those around him. Having a rougher home life, because he’s a pureblood lycan, made me feel really sad. He put up walls and lied about his feelings because he felt he didn’t deserve to ask for love. The desperation, all of it, was hard to read because I felt for him.
The relationship between Hwa and Seolhyun starts with what was believed to be an inconvenient heat. However, Seolhyun believes he is not a female lycan and thinks he’s deceiving Hwa this way — in reality, he’s been deceived by others around him. This relationship had even more angst because of the plot context around it all. I felt so sad! When they get their happy ending though, it’s so worth it.
I liked the extra focusing on Kakia and Ino. It was sweet to learn how their tenuous romance came together.
I really enjoyed the over all world and plot, the way all the characters lives intertwined together. How not all of them are choosing the life of immortality, and that’s alright. How people made mistakes and learned from them. Ugh, it was so good.
There’s a lot more I could say - it’s a long manhwa, after all - but I want people to read it! So overall, this is a very rewarding story with drama, angst, sweetness, and love. I highly recommend.

Güzeldi ama bazı konuların gereksiz yere çok uzatıldığını düşünüyorum. Üstelik 2. Sezonda ki çizimler 1. Sezondakine çok benziyordu ve bir süre kafam karıştı. Yine de güzeldi ama.
I really enjoy this one. It was different and yet the same. It was very comforting in the way they express love. It like most mpreg,/ omega stories has its thing and I just love it. I can't wait till it's physical copies are avaliable in America. I read it on its Luzon Platform.
The story is interesting, but it lacks some explanations in some parts. Since it introduces vampires and lycans, it doesn't really talk about their abilities as much. So there are parts that don't make sense. A lot of smut, read with care!
3.5* Honestly it's probably the fourth time I've read it, and I still find it really good despite its flaws. Is it the best manwha out there? No, definitely not. But it's still pretty good. The plot and the world building are well established, and I find the story to be pretty interesting overall.
Favori mangakam, çizim yeteneği olsun hikayeleri işleyiş tarzı olsun her eserinde beni kendine hayran bırakıyor. Hikayelerinin bende ayrı bir yeri oluyor. Hepsini evlatlarım gibi seviyorum. Bwt sen hep yaz biz hep okuyalım.🥹
Probably my most favorite work by this creator. Absolutely love the multiple stories in this one work. Characters were well developed, the story was captivating and the spiciness was well balanced.
