The story is being diluted, there are too many characters. The short and meaningless adventures lends little resistance or substance, the bad guy dies or never appears again. The guardians and awakened council all make several appearances just like their counterpars: the undead court and abominations. Having so many characters and convoluted core and magic systems without diagrams makes the plot and progression seems benign. And the straw that broke the camel's back was when multiple characters overcame their adversaries by pulling out a bullsh*t spell that won them the conflict immediately. This takes away the meaningfulness of characters and actions alike.
He can beat violet cores with his blue core, there's no clear bad guy and everybody from the Griffin empire to the awakened council to the guardians are the good guys. Then what is the end game here lol? It's been 500 chapters, he's got no better magic, no better girlfriend, and equipment only different in name. Even for a romance novel, this is unacceptable.
