Doctor's Secret Babies

Rate this book
A masquerade ball.
My one chance at a forbidden fantasy.
I had the most passionate night with my best friend's dad.
And he'd totally flip if he found out I was the girl behind the mask all along....

I've wanted Noah ever since I knew what it felt like to desire a man.
He's the epitome of sexy.
And the only person I could trust my heart to.
I reunited with him at a masquerade ball.
And I walked away knowing my secret would go with me to the grave.

Until today.
"Sadie?"
A familiar baritone voice enters the room.
I feel the hairs on the back of my neck rise up.
"Noah? What are you doing here!?"

Unbeknownst to me Noah has been assigned to administer emergency deliveries for my twins. OUR twins!! The ones he knows nothing about!!

Crazy as it seems, I actually borrowed this from KU because the title is ridiculous. I know there are a lot of books out there with titles like this, but I’ve never even thought to look at them. In fact, this author alone has so many books with similar titles that I don’t even know how she keeps them straight. Does she copy and paste everything? How do you write such similar stories over and over? Here’s a small sample from the listing in this book of her other titles:

Baby for the Mountain Man| Junior for the Mountain Man| Knocked Up by the Mountain Man| Baby For Daddy's Friend | Triplets for the Mountain Man | Taken by the Mountain Man| Secret Baby for the Mountain Man  | Mountain Man’s Accidental Surprise | Quadruplets for the Mountain Man | Delivering His Gifts| Mountain Daddy’s Fate | Mountain Man’s Lucky Charm | Mountain Man's Rival | Small Town Mountain Daddy | Mountain Man's Gift| Mountain Man's Christmas Surprise| Mountain Man's Valentine

And this series: Big Daddy Doctors of Denver Series

Doctor’s Secret | Doctor’s Surprise Delivery | Irish Doctor’s Secret Babies | Millionaire’s Surprise Triplets | Doctor's Baby Plan| Knocked Up by the New Zealand Doctor | Doctor’s Duties | Billion Dollar Mistake | Irish Doctor Gift| Irish Doctor’s Orders| Irish Doctor’s Valentine

That’s not a complete list, and I don’t know how to tag them, but it’s a lot of books with pretty much the same theme. How many secret babies can someone write about? I think my limit has been reached on this genre with just reading this one book. I’ll pass on all the others.

That’s not to say this was a bad book, it just wasn’t anything special. I liked the two MCs well enough. But the story was only meh. Parts of it were so unbelievable, and parts of it felt like they were left out. One chapter would end and you’d expect to read about what happened next in the next chapter, but no. It would switch to the other character’s POV and a whole different day. One example of this is when Sadie and Noah were preparing for her parents to come over for the first time after a major disagreement. The chapter ended and I wanted to read how that meeting went, but the next chapter was from Noah’s POV and it had nothing to do with that meeting!

Noah is Irish and he says “arse” and “aye” and “lass” appropriately, but there were stretches in his POV where it was just changed to “ass” and it was so out of character. Noah’s adult daughter, a respected attorney with the DA’s office, spoke like a teenager. “Yo! Dad!” What’s with the Yo! Even Sadie’s father said it. Really?

Noah is “almost 50” and Sadie is 25. They meet at a masquerade ball so it’s “mysterious” who everyone else is. Except Sadie recognizes Noah, her BFF’s father whom she’s had a crush on since she was a young girl. But Noah has no idea who Sadie is because he hasn’t seen her in several years. Yet, when he first encounters her, the guy she’s arguing with called her Sade. Noah knew she looked familiar, but couldn’t put it together when someone called her that?

I give this book 2.5 stars rounded up because I did like Noah and Sadie. I hated Sadie’s BFF/Noah’s daughter Cammy. The book was riddled with errors and the story, overall, was bland. I can’t imagine reading book after book with this same theme.

Yeah. This book. Now, if you search my Goodreads history, you'll see that I love OTT books like this - hell, I am not a fan of the secret baby trope, but when it's OTT? Sign me the fuck up. That said, this book did not deliver what I was hoping for. (You may love it and that's all good, because no two people are going to have the same opinion of things.)

Our FMC runs into her BFF's dad at a masquerade ball and decides to shoot her shot - she never lets him know that 1) she knows who he is and 2) that she's his adult daughter's bestie by insisting that she keep her mask on. (The daughter in question is 26 and she's 25, so it's not *too* icky.) Despite proper condom usage - though she never checked the expiration date on it - she finds out that she's pregnant 6 weeks later! Does she tell ANYONE who the father is? No. How does he find out? After he's helped her deliver the kids - he sees a distinctive tattoo she has that his mystery woman had as well. 🙄 But this is not what started the eye rolling, no. As his daughter meets up with him for brunch she tells him about the hot goss she's got on her bestie - that she was at the same ball and *dun dun dun* IS PREGNANT. As our MMC starts to wonder could it be her and ultimately goes with no - because of that damn tattoo. Let me just share some of this insane thinking:

The last time I'd seen Sadie had been their senior year, the two of them going off to some graduation party together. I specifically remember what I was thinking at the time, about how she and Camilla were both eighteen and now adults, but still looked like kids in my eyes.

Then there was the matter of the tattoo. Not like I'd ever seen Sadie naked before, of course, but she'd been in short shorts enough times around me to where I would've remembered a tattoo like that.... The matter now settled, I drove in peace.... What a small, small world.

Dude, she was EIGHTEEN and A SENIOR IN HIGH SCHOOL when you last saw her. Of course you didn't think of her as anything other than a kid then. Also, the tattoo? She was in high school. While I know that there are areas of the country and shops that will allow an underage kid to get a tattoo with parental permission, most kids are going to wait until college or after to get one. You're really going to consider the matter done with? Especially when you know that there was something familiar about the masked woman that you couldn't place a finger on? Christ, for a doctor, you're an idiot.

What about the rest of the town? People talked, and there was no doubt news of the handsome OB/GYN knocking up his daughter's childhood friend would spread around Denver like a bad cold.... His reputation as a good, compassionate doctor would be toast.

Okay, has the author ever BEEN to Denver? It's a pretty big city - while it has that large-small-town feel, it's still a big city. No one is really going to be gossiping about the "handsome OB/GYN knocking up his daughter's childhood best friend" - at most, it will be mentioned that he got a young woman pregnant. Also, his reputation? He is NOT YOUR DOCTOR. (Despite him having to deliver your babies.) You were never his patient. Period. He deserved to know well before he found out. So did everyone else in her life, for that matter. I mean, while his adult daughter was unlikable, I completely understood her feelings of betrayal. (Also, he took her to the hospital in labor - not his hospital, though - and when the attending couldn't be found or something insisted that he was going to deliver and the nurses all knew who he was? Ummmm, aren't doctors supposed to have privileges to treat someone in another facility? I mean, yeah this was an emergency, but no one thought to question him? Just a random thought.)

So I've pointed out the things that just made me mad while reading this, but this was not a hate read. I know, surprising of me to say that when you see the above, right? 😂 Ultimately, this book was written well enough to keep me interested in what was going to happen, despite some editing that was missed. Could this have been fleshed out better? Yes. Was it fine for what it was? Yes. It's a novella that won't be winning any awards, but it was an escape. Will I read the rest of the "Doctors in Denver" series? Probably not... though I'd like to find this private hospital in Denver that apparently hires only Irishmen and maybe a Kiwi to be on staff. As a woman firmly in middle age, I'd pay high insurance premiums for access to that.

I love age-gap romances. This one was a really nice story, that I enjoyed. Even though they tried hard, neither Sadie or Nora couldn't denied the attraction between them.

I still didn't liked Cammy's behaviour. It was justified in the beginning, but after that it was just her being stubborn.

I was disappointed in this book. Secret Babies for My Best Friend’s Dad felt shallow, lightweight, to me. We who read Romance expect and even enjoy a certain kind of formulaic writing. I mean, you absolutely want to feel the same tug and pull and give between the main characters, though the degree may vary depending on the trope or genre. You want those main characters to come together. You want to revel in their HEA. These elements were present, but that was about all this book had. The book left me wanting more—or something better, something with some heft to it—rather than just the romance “scaffolding” on which to hang those elements. The narration was, in my opinion, a little trite, no depth to it. There was no real depth to the characters either beyond the cliched, overused way they were written. Sorry, I really wanted to enjoy this book. 3 stars.

Sadie is best friends with camilla and is studying law.
She goes to a masquerade ball one night and sleeps with the one guy she has been attracted for years and who is much older then her. His name is Noah he is her best friend Camilas dad and is a doctor.
Except he doesn't know its her he slept with as she kept her mask on the whole time.
Sadie finds out she is pregnant.
How will Noah and Camilla react when they find out Sadie is pregnant? Will her life ever be the same?

A wonderful book I love the characters in the book. Especially Sadie she is so head strong and really cares about people.

Not for me.

There was nothing wrong with this story except that it wasn’t for me. I don’t like it when the hero has a dead wife that he was madly in love with. I mean, her being gone for twenty years made it slightly better but still. I also thought it really dragged between him finding out about the twins and them even thinking about having feelings for each other. I know it’s a romance but it didn’t feel very romantic.

"Secret Babies for my Best Friend's Dad: An Age Gap, Older Man Younger Woman Romance" (Doctors of Denver Book 13) by K.C. Crowne was a great read. I enjoyed Noah and Sadie's story. This was a nice addition to this series. This story had romance, passion, age gap, secret babies, close friends, and more. Highly recommend it to all fans of romance, age gap, secret babies, and series.

Sweet, Short, But No Real Romance (Plus the Cover is Completely Unrelated)

So here’s the deal, this romance novel is exactly what you expect it to be. If you read the title, it’s SURPRISE - an age gap romance about a woman knocked up by her best friend’s dad.

.
.
.
Only that it isn’t.

There is very little romance, and it all feels a blur. There’s no build up, just suddenly a bunch of I Love Yous. There’s no reason to really see the love between the two - sure there’s attraction but there is little if any relationship building. It’s just a “well, we have babies together, I guess we’ll see how it goes” and pow, love. Throw in a cliche life threatening incident and all of a sudden every element of the story is resolved.

There was one element I enjoyed: it felt like the heroine who was absolutely less than honorable in the novel (I would actually consider what she did a form of assault or at least coercion - if you know someone wouldn’t consent if they knew who you were and you try to convince them you’re someone else - ya, that’s shady). But suddenly, nope, the strife between the heroine and outside sources is just over because of I love yous. ARGH!!!

It was cuts, it was sweet, and if you’re looking for a happily ever after look no further. But if you’re looking for character building and a real relationship coming out before you while two people navigate the real difficulties of co parenting - then this isn’t it.

This is another brilliant star shining amongst the Doctors of Denver series by KC Crowne. Yes folks, she's done it again with another stellar, guaranteed best seller. This one is a titillating age-gap romance that is sure to please the masses. This one starts out with Dr. Noah McMurray at a fund raising ball for the medical group he's recently joined, Pitt Medical. It just so happens to be a masquerade ball and everyone is wearing masks so you can't really tell who's who. Anyway, he off to the side conversing with a pretty young lady who is flirting up a storm with him but he's bored out of his mind. A friend and fellow doctor, the one that pushed for him to be hired, comes to his rescue by calling him over. He excuses himself and goes talk to Finn, who it seems only wants to push him towards dating people because he's been single for several years, ever since his wife died of cancer. He argues that he has been on some dates and really doesn't need him badgering him. He's getting ready to tell his friend that he's going to head out when, a strikingly beautiful young women catches his eye. He watches her flit around the room, stopping ever now and again to shake someone's hand or make a quiet comment to them. He stands still just watching her from afar when all of a sudden he sees a young man dart from across the room to intercept the gorgeous young woman. As he's watching, he sees the man grab her wrist and won't let her go. He heads that way to see if he could somehow help the woman. He overhears her tell the man, Tyler, to let her go and that she has nothing to say to him, except she's not interested. He interrupts them and tells Tyler to let her go and get the hell out of there. Tyler tells him to mind his own business. Again, the young woman tells Tyler that she's no interested in what he has to say and to leave before he embarrasses himself. Tyler takes the hint and leaves her alone, disappearing into the crowd. The rescuing gentleman asks if she's alright and as she glances at him she finally places why he sounded so familiar to her. It seems that he's her best friend's father, Noah, and he was the star of many of her adolescent fantasies. He doesn't recognize her as his daughter's friend, Sadie Clarence. He grabs a bottle of water from one of the waiters and tells her to drink some. She snarks back at him, " Why? She was just dealing with some pr#ck that she went on one date with, not walking through the desert." She smiles at him saying this so he can she she was just joking with him. She points at his whiskey and asks if she can have a bit of that. He graciously hands his drink to her and placing his hand on the small of her back, escorts her to a quiet place so they can talk about what just happened. He wants to know what the deal with Tyler was so he can make sure she's in no danger. She explains that Tyler was just someone she met on a dating app and had one date with, but it didn't go well and she ignored his calls. It was just a fluke that he happened to run into her there, but otherwise she could handle him and was in fact doing that before he interrupted. Although it was nice knowing someone had her back. He introduces himself as Noah and extends his hand waiting for her to introduce herself to which she replies that it's part of the fun of a masquerade, no knowing who everyone is. He chuckles and tells her, if she wants to keep the spirit of the ball then fine, but he would like to get to know her. She tells him that she's always found dancing a great way to get to know someone. He offers her his hand and escorts her to the dance floor stating that he's going to show her what she's been missing out of by playing with those dating apps. They begin dancing and he says he'd like to know a bit about her. She asks what he would like to know. He tells her, why not start with what she's doing there. She tells him that the way he said it was like she's not supposed to be there. He tells her it's because something tells him that she's not, that this crowd isn't her sort of crowd. He goes on to say that with the security out front, no one could've snuck in but he feels that she's not on the guest list. What, he's right on the money with that comment because she got in there by using his daughter's ticket; she works for the DA and was unable to attend so she gave the ticket to Sadie to use. She tells him that she got in using someone else's ticket and asks if he's going to rat her out. The banter between them goes on for a while with both of them flirting and checking each other out because they are both highly attracted to each other. Eventually, Noah leans in and whispers in her ear that he'd definitely like to get to know her away from prying eyes. He then tells her that he just so happens to have reserved a room at that hotel in case he didn't feel like going home or he drank to much. She tell him to lead the way. When they get in the elevator Noah quickly rips his mask off and reaches for hers, but she stops him by telling him it's more fun to keep hers on. He finally relents, especially since she gets up to some kinky business in the elevator. This is where I'll leave you and you'll have to get the book to find out the rest let's just say that a three year old condom ends in a rather large snafu for all those involved. Secrets eventually become known and betrayed feelings take over in a big way. I can highly recommend this book because of the amazing storyline with wonderful realistic characters. It is a fantastic book for any romance lover even if you aren't a big fan of age-gap stories because it's just that heartwarming and well written. If you haven't read anything by KC Crowne then this is one you should definitely try, you won't be disappointed.

Secret Babies...

I really enjoy Age-gap stories and this is a definite winner!

It has everything you expect and want. There are awesome characters you falk in love with; lots of steam - exactly what you expect from a book in this trope. There is lots of emotion running throughout the pages, and a lot of angst as the main characters navigate through the consequences of their hook-up. And - this book was NOT novella length but novel length so it was a full story that ended in a beautiful HEA.

It's been a bit since I read a K.C. Crowned book and I enjoyed it immensely.

Fluff read, missing the romance

This had the potential to be more, but fell flat. Sadie has had a crush on her friend’s hot dad since she was a teen. She hasn’t seen him since leaving for college, so he remembers her as the gangly best friend of his little girl and not the sultry 25 yo she is now. He comes on to her at a masquerade ball, because as you know, a mask makes it impossible to identify someone 🙄. Sadie knows it is him and refuses to take the mask off, sneaking out of his bed while he’s asleep. Bummer for them, that crusty old expired condom in the bottom of her purse didn’t stop her from getting pregnant with twins!

Sadie tells her bff and parents that she doesn’t know who the father is, and he only finds out because he randomly delivers their twins and sees the memorable tattoo on her thigh. I’m not sure why the author kept choosing to refer to it as an “odd tattoo “. It wasn’t odd. But a lot of things about this story were.

As a labor and delivery nurse, I cringe when I read books that involve pregnancy and labor. Basically all of it was implausible and annoying. Like, maybe do some research. But I digress. Noah steps up and demands to be a part of their lives. While that’s admirable and he’s a standup guy, there was literally zero romance between he and Sadie. Some lust, sure. But nowhere in this story was there any swoony romantic inkling that suggested either had feelings behind her silly crush and his desire to take care of his family. Just nothing, and then the “I love you’s”. While there was an age gap obviously, Sadie was still 25 years old and he was “getting close to 50”. She’s not a child. It was weird to see hints that their relationship might affect his career, as many doctors have relationships with women younger than her. 🙄

Sadie parents were supposed to be these hippie type people because “they were born in the 1970s”. I had to laugh and cringe at that because the idea was ridiculous. Maybe if they had been TEENS or young adults in the 1970s, but just being born then would’ve had them growing up in the 80s and into the 90s. Not hippies. Their reaction to finding everything out was silly too. I can understand initially being concerned that he had taken advantage of Sadie, but once they learned it was actually Sadie that took advantage of him, they should have let it go. Especially since they seemed OK with the idea that she was pregnant with some random hook up and weren’t bothered by that.

Cammy was awful. Yes, she had a right to be hurt that her best friend lied to her through her entire pregnancy. But she was completely vile and horrible to Sadie. She expected to still be allowed to be “very involved “in the twins lives as their older sister, but to never ever be around Sadie. To the point that she had a fit when she came into their home because Sadie dared to be home. 🙄 let it go, your dad got over the deception, so quit acting like a spoiled toddler. You don’t have to go back to being best friends, but quit acting like a drama queen.

This was a fluff read. Not great, could have been worse. It was almost campy. I’ll admit I wound up skimming a lot towards the end just to finish. Just Meh for me.

Sadie is a gal who knew what she wanted, from a very young age. Cammy is her best friend. Cammy’s father, Noah is the man, who starring nightly in, Sadie’s naughty dreams. Ever since Sadie was a young girl, she thought he was handsome. Now, Sadie’s in her late twenties, and this hasn’t changed.

Cammy and Sadie, after high school, had lost touch due to going off, to college. Now back in their hometown, they have reconnected. On this night, Sadie is given a ticket, to attend a masquerade party. One that, Cammy would not be attending, due to work.

Sadie is more than happy to receive the ticket, because her feelings for, Noah have never subsided. This would give her the perfect opportunity, to gain equal footing with, Noah. She knows for a fact, that he is too honorable to bed his daughter’s friend outright, attraction or not. The mask makes a perfect shield to hide behind.

But, there is no mistaking the genuine attraction, these two have for one another, once the game is in motion. Because you see this starts as a game of a ‘one-off.’ But by the end of the book, has turned into so much more. But they find out this ‘one-off’ carries a deep connection that leaves you stripped bare reliving the experience.

However, that one night affects so many people. It's like a rippling effect in a pond, when you toss a stone in it. Forever extending out, moving fast, and looking for an outlet for relief. Much like what ends up going on with, these two. This is a funny, intense, and loving family ties. Fighting & all.

Secret Babies For My Best Friend’s Dad is book thirteen in the Doctors of Denver collection. Sadie is best friends with Camilla who is daughter to Dr. Noah McMurray the Best OB/GYN specialist in the state. What no-one knows is that Sadie has always had a huge crush on Dr. McMurray for years, so when Cammy offered Sadie her ticket to the yearly Doctor charity benefit that worked out in her favor themed “Masquerade ball”. Noah ends up rescuing Sadie and of course they start talking, Sadie knows this is her one and only chance to seduce Noah and fulfill her lifetime fantasy especially when they all are wearing masks Noah will not know its her, things get a bit hot and heavy, they end up in Noah’s room at the hotel…six weeks later Sadie finds out she’s pregnant with twins. When Sadie found herself with the opportunity to obtain that one dream fantasy of her lifetime she jumped on it - consequences were the furthest thing from her mind. Sadie made some tough choices. Will things work out for Sadie? Will Noah even know about his twins? Can they get past all of the lies and deceit? This is an excellent story, very heart warming, little tense off and on but even though there is a huge age difference their chemistry is right on & completely off the charts, you just can’t help but say “go get him girl”! I am looking forward to book fourteen! I received an Advance Reader's Copy and am voluntarily leaving my honest thoughts and opinions.

This book is now one of my favorites. Noah, the older distinguished Dr. and Sadie, the love struck twenty-something young woman who makes the first move. Noah meets Sadie at a masquerade ball, but doesn't realize she is his daughter's best friend. He's drawn to her immediately. Sadie knows who he is, but refuses to take off her mask during their encounter. They had one night together that was memorable for both, even though Sadie's mask never came off. She had been dreaming about Noah since forever and knew he would turn her away if she revealed her identity. Sneaky? Yes, but Sadie is all woman and knew what she wanted. Of course this hot, steamy, wonderful night became even more memorable when Sadie discovers that she's pregnant. Not really wanting to reveal her deception to anyone, she doesn't reveal who the father to be is. Noah doesn't know he's about to become a daddy again. He finds out in an unbelievable way, but handles himself like the mature man he is. I love Noah and loved how he handles the multiple situations that was created with Sadie's lies. He helps her to deal with the fallout. I think Noah was just what Sadie needed to help her grow up a bit and to be more responsible. From the beginning I could tell that they made a great match and belonged together. I'm glad they got their HEA and they are now one of my favorite book couples.

Great age-gap romance.

I absolutely loved Noah and Sadie's story. I love reading one night stand romance, and this did not disappoint. Sadie has been crushing on Noah who is her best friend father since her teenage years. Sadie receives an invitation for the Annual Masquerade Ball from Cammy and goes because she knows Noah will be there. She catches his eye the moment he spots her and slowly makes his way towards her wondering who this sexy gorgeous woman is. With everyone wearing masks and the fact that he hasn't seen her for years he doesn't recognize her. She however, recognizes him immediately and so the seduction begins. Once they are alone in his hotel suite she refuses to remove her mask pretending that the mystery is more fun. She brings out feelings in him that he hadn't felt in almost two decades so he has no problem with it.
Hours later, when he wakes alone in bed he can't get the sexy seductress out of his head, a one-night stand with her completely blows his mind and he doesn't know who she is. He can only identify her by a tattoo she has on her upper leg.
Six weeks later Sadie finds out she's pregnant with Noah's twins.
It's exciting, captivating, a page turner that is well written with a great storyline and amazing characters. Love their chemistry and his dedication. I absolutely loved their story and happily recommend it to any book lover.

Living Her Dream . . .

Noah McMurray was attending a masquerade ball. His friend Finn tried to encourage him to find a woman after all his years of being alone since his wife died. He was even ready to head home early until he saw the beautiful young woman slowly walking through the crowd. Then a man approached her and it was obvious she didn’t want him near her. He grabbed her wrist and she could not break his hold. An older man approached and told Tyler to get his hands off her, and Sadie also told Tyler to leave her alone. As she turned to the stranger, she recognized him, but it was obvious her best friend’s dad, Noah McMurray, whom she had crushed on for years, didn’t recognize Sadie Clarence in her mask. So she decided to have some fun until he figured out who she was.

Only he didn’t figure it out, as she insisted her mask stayed on even though he had taken his off in the elevator. They finally fell asleep in his bed, so when she woke, she quickly left the room. As the penthouse elevator doors closed, she had a huge smile, knowing this was a night she would never forget… how true!

This story was well-written, well-paced, and worth a few smiles that Sadie finally had her dream come true, being with a man she had loved forever. And her story doesn’t end there. Grab your copy and share the amazing continuation of her story.

What kind of a man would you want in your future? A man who is caring? A man who knows the importance of being patient? One who is a doctor? When you are Sadie, a young woman who loves a man that is the father of her best friend, you can get just those three things. One night at a masquerade ball for the Doctor's of Denver group, you can find anyone to be with. An invitation to this party was what she wanted, along with a doctor she grew up knowing. What she didn't know was that he saw her and had to have her, but not who he thought she would be. Noah is the said doctor that Sadie was going for. This night turned into a dream for her, except 6 weeks later, a surprise came to her. Two really. Not what she wanted to take home as a party gift.

No one knew that Noah was about to receive a surprise too when he was helping Sadie in the delivery room. He was amazed at what he helped deliver, until he had seen the marking of the woman for whom he slept with that night of the ball. WTH?! How could this be? Could he trust her after lying to him about not telling him who the children belong to? Was she trying to trap him? Come on. Could you hide a secret from the man you love that didn't realize it was someone he knew from a long time ago?.

Hot doc Noah hasn’t been on the “market” since his wife passed almost 20 years ago. I mean, single-dad, successful doctor doesn’t leave time for much. A night at a masquerade ball, a curvy beautiful woman, and a set of twins later has Noah readjusting a lot.

Sadie always had a thing for the sexy Irishman, her best friends dad. When he sweeps her off her feet at the masquerade ball sponsored by his company she seizes the opportunity to make her dreams come true - a hot night with her dream man as long as he doesn’t know her name and she leaves her mask on. The night leaves a lasting impression on both parties involved, but failed contraception gives them a bit more. Now, Sadie has a secret that no one can know and that’s who her kids father is.

Noah was so even tempered in terms of what you expect an Irishman to be. I guess that’s what made him such a good doctor. While I don’t agree with Sadie’s methods, she did open Noah up to love again, but almost lost Cammy, her best friend in the process. Despite the age difference (I love an age gap) Noah and Sadie were absolutely amazing together. Love’s going to find you, and sometimes it isn’t conventional and you just have to roll with it.

Thank you K.C. for once again making me read in the worst Irish accent in my head!😂😂.

Sadie takes her best friend’s ticket to a masquerade ball as her friend, Cammy, cannot make it because of work. Now Sadie had a crush on Cammy’s dad, Noah, forever. The masquerade ball is hosted by Pitt Medical, the company that Noah now works for. When Sadie realizes it is Noah she thinks it is a perfect opportunity to flirt with the man who has been the object of her affection for so long. Noah has not been interested in getting into anything with a woman since his wife passed but he is intrigued by this mysterious woman. They spend some quality time together and Noah is intrigued by this woman who refuses to take her mask off. But Sadie walks away with more than she bargained for. Cammy stands by her but Sadie feels incredibly guilty for not telling her the truth. When Sadie goes into labor Cammy calls her dad to help. When Noah learns the truth he is torn between happiness at the two bundles of joy and anger that Sadie did not include him. But his maturity helps him navigate the situation. He is determined to be a hands on dad but how will Cammy and Sadie’s parents react when when they find out the truth? I enjoyed the characters and the story was sweet and steamy.

Tammy’s dad is Noah who works at the Pitt Medical Group. Sadie takes Cammy’s invitation to their masquerade ball. Noah is a 2 decade widower who has raised his daughter on his own after his wife died. He’s not interested in dating or anything until he sees gorgeous Sadie. Sadie knows who Noah is from his build and Irish accent and hair. Noah never knows he is dancing, kissing, or taking Sadie up to his hotel roomZ. She insist on leaving on her mask. In the morning, she’s gone. Sadie feels bad about lying to Noah. Six weeks later. She gets a shock. Especially when she finds out her emergency confirmation is were expired by a couple of years…. Sadie and Noah’s story includes an element of taboo, a whole lot of complicated feelings and a great deal of steam. A masquerade party encounter leads to a passionate night that neither Sadie or Noah can forget. Sadie is left with a physical reminder of the night she shared with Noah, the father of her best friend and the subject of her fantasies, when she discovers she is pregnant with twins. Noah has no idea who his masked lover had been that night, and even Sadie knows nothing would have happened between them if he had known. Caught in a mess of her own making, Sadie is loath to tell her best friend, her parents and Noah for fear of being rejected. Noah discovers her deceit the day he, as an OB/GYN, delivers her twins. Being the stand-up, take-charge kind of guy that he is, Noah puts aside his own anger and shock and steps up to support Sadie as they face a whole lot of anger, disapproval and hostility from family and friends. How will the messy situation play out? Could they possibly have a happily ever after in their future, despite the way everything started?.

Sadie has had a crush on her best friend's father for as long as she can remember. Noah is a doctor, fit, kind, Irish and he makes Sadie's heart race.
Noah hasn't wanted another woman since his wife died, but one night at a masquerade party he meets a woman who captivates him from across the room. When her goes to her rescue, they agree on no names, (ofcourse this is because Sadie recognises her crush and best friends dad straight away, even if it has been a few years since they saw each other)
After a night of passion and a quick dash in the middle of the night, Sadie can't believe she has been intimate with Noah, it was more than she dreamed.

She finds out she is pregnant around 6 weeks later, she tells everyone, but leaves out who the father is. Her twins cone early and quick, Noah is called and delivers the twins, he is again captivated and then he spots Sadie's tattoo and knows he is the father.

Great story, well written, once the truth is out, it isn't over. Dealt with really well, fantastic tension appropriate reactions and timeline
Well worth reading.

I absolutely loved reading the story about Noah who is a 50-year-old Doctor Who is a widower after his wife died of cancer and was left to raise their daughter on his own. Then he met Sadie at a masquerade party but he had no idea who she was and they had a one night stand all while Sadie kept her mask on. Sadie is knowers daughter‘s best friend and she had always had a crush on him since she was 11. She knew that the masquerade party was the perfect time to experience what she had always dreamt of without no one knowing who she was, she didn’t realise that for you contraceptive device was out of date and she discovered she was pregnant. I laughed and I cried with Sadie and really felt for her with what she had to go through until the very last pages of the book. There is a happy ever after but there was a refiners fire that they had to go through before they reach that level of happiness. I highly recommend reading this book.

You will not be disappointed in this story- it is a dynamite read! It is fun, flirty, sweet, steamy, heartwarming story of lust, passion and love. Noah is at a masquerade ball for the clinic. He is in his 50’s, ObGyn doc, widowed, one child. Noah is of Irish descent, big, hunky, handsome and a red head. He has not dated since his wife died. Sadie is at the ball instead of her best friend. She is bubbly, curvy, gorgeous, intelligent and doing some networking. Noah steps over to help Sadie with a jerk who is refusing to leave. These two characters have a magical pull to each other, it draws them to each other. You can feel their sexy, feisty, flirty personalities. They definitely click! The smoldering looks, the flirting and the hot touches - oh, so hot and steamy. It also has deception, little white lies which becomes so much more, family troubles, heartbreak, life changing confessions. It is a “can’t put it down” read. It is crazy good! So-o good! It’s a ten - I loved it!.

Enjoyable, but won't be reading the next book.

So I enjoyed this book. It was cute and funny and had drama with romance and babies. What's not to love?

I liked the epilogues as well to see how things went in the future, that was a nice little bonus. I saw that there's a series for Irish doctor babies or something like that, but it was the same storyline. The doctor had twins and didn't even know it. When I read books by the same author, I like to have different storylines. The same story with different characters just gets old very quickly. So I will not be reading the next one, or any others in the series as I don't feel vested in the other doctors from his office.

That being said, I did definitely enjoy this book and I would recommend it as a standalone solo book by the author. I can't speak to any other books since this is the only one that I have read and, as I mentioned, based on the previews of the other books, I don't have interest in reading them. Happy reading!

I'm rating this book a 3. Mainly because it's not a bad book, but I absolutely disliked the female characters. For one our fmc was just a selfish, whiny, woe is me kind of person. Secondly I didn't like that she didn't even let him choose the middle names when he found out she was his ons and they were his. We also never learned if she gave them his last name or not. Another problem I had with the book was in the beginning we had a view of him talking with Finn but then after that Finn wasn't ever brought up again like our mmc never even had a moment with any of his friends so we could see their shock and experience him telling them so I felt cheated out lol. My last and final problem is all this authors books are kinda the same, that's not me complaining and downing their work but if you've read one it seems you've read them all. It's not necessarily a bad thing it's just I personally wouldn't be able to read her complete series In one go because I'd get bored and just give up. Anyways it's not badly written so it's an okay book its just repetitive...

#AgeGap #SecretBaby #BestFriendsDad #OneNightStand
3.5 STARS

Written in first person from an alternating dual POV, this can be read as a standalone and ends with a HEA.

I chose this book to meet a reading challenge with the word secret in the title. I have read this author before, and I knew what I would be getting. She has many similar books with secret or surprise babies and many with age gap and/or daddy tropes. I knew I would get an easy to read book that packed a lot of heat and an OTT romance. I love age gap. Though I am not a big fan of secret baby, I like to read them from time to time. Occasionally the author is able to justify why the baby was kept secret in a way I find believable. This book did not do that. Sadie's actions were selfish, and even after she was discovered she was unrepentant. I had a tough time liking her character due to her immaturity. Noah, on the other hand, was amazing. He finally found a woman he had a strong attraction to and he pursues it as responsibly as he can. He knows it will be a one night stand and he is OK with that. Though he can't forget their hot night, he moves on. He may never have known that he was a father again. Since he is a wonderful Da, that would have been a crying shame. I loved his passion, his hotness, his Irish accent, and his good character. He was 100% swoony and I felt like Sadie took advantage of him.

The writing itself was a little redundant at times, which I had forgotten since it had been a while since I read this author. Overall, it was a quick and entertaining read with a hot hero and adorable babies. It met the criteria I was looking for when I chose this book.

Secret Babies for My Best Friend's Dad (Doctors of Denver)

I adore everything KC Crowne! I have loved her Reverse Harem books because I enjoy reading about the polyamory love that goes on. Doctors of Denver Series is completely different. We have followed male and female doctors of all different types all over Denver, then across the pond then back again to Denver. This follows a doctor we met briefly with Finn, Noah. He is at a masquerade ball bored out of his mind until he sees a beautiful woman like no other, Sadie. Except she never gave her name or took off her masquerade mask even when things got super erotic in the penthouse suite. One thing Noah noticed, a really unusual book tattoo on her thigh. Fast forward 8 months, Sadie starts going into labor at her best friend Cammy's house. Who does Cammy call, her Dad, Noah who still knows nothing.
What happens? Why did she deliver early? Believe me when I say this is only the beginning really of a really interesting story and very erotic as much as possible!

YES! This is a MUST READ book!
