Another fav.
The new character introduced in volume 2, Misai. I really don't like him. He's like a creepy vampire. But he's interesting. More daring and chaotic than any other character in the series so far.
In this volume, we are going back to Shiki's story. He's suffering because of PTSD and I really feel for this tough guy.
And those brain sucking mosquito kemono sisters are nightmarish!
Finally, Kon's personality shines in this. She's the cutest.
I am so looking forward to Inari's role. The hype is getting real.
I really want to see what Akira can do.
Damn, both the manga and the anime adaptation get far and far better.

Yes the closest thing i can think of for the vibe of this series is spy x family (but somewhat creepier & darker) .
It's silly, goofy, cute and wholesome with so many loveable characters along with some dark shit happening.

Je remercie les éditions Kurokawa pour cette lecture. Autant je disais que le deuxième tome était un peu plat par rapport au premier, autant, le troisième se rattrape largement. Une réelle intrigue commence à se mettre en place et j’apprécie beaucoup ça !
Dans le dernier tome nous avons découvert qu’Inugami logeait dans une pièce au sous-sol un vampire nommé Mihai. Il a besoin de lui, mais ce dernier est plutôt dangereux. La preuve, car il enferme Inugami dans une pièce sans possibilité de sortir et donne une mission plutôt dangereuse aux trois gamins. Une affaire plutôt louche, sur laquelle il leur demande de récupérer des informations.
Bien évidemment, Mihai s’ennui et à envie de les mettre en danger, sinon cela ne serait pas drôle. Par la même occasion, ce tome va se concentrer sur le personnage de Shiki sur lequel on va en apprendre un peu plus.
J’aime bien ce manga et j’ai vraiment hâte de voir ce que la suite peut nous réserver, car il a vraiment beaucoup de potentiel. J’apprécie le fait que l’auteur prenne quand même son temps pour nous faire découvrir petit à petit chacun des personnages importants de l’histoire et leur passif dans les grandes lignes, afin d’être paré une fois l’intrigue lancée.
En bref, ce troisième tome de Kemono incidents rattrape le deuxième qui était un peu décevant vis-à-vis du premier. Une intrigue prend doucement place et on continue à découvrir chaque personne en parallèle. Un shonen plutôt sympathique !

I first read this manga back in 2019 and decided to reread it after binge-watching the anime a while back.
Now things are getting suspenseful. I liked that we got to see the trio finish up Mihai’s mission for them still alive, albeit Shiki got pretty traumatized. It was also adorable seeing Kabane and Kon go on a “date”. Going back to Shiki, the rest of this volume was about his quest to search for his parents. His extremely suspicious uncle got introduced as well as a flashback that broke my heart. I’m a bit cautious going into this next volume since things aren’t looking too good for poor Shiki.

The whole chapter of kabane and kon was adorable!

I'm a little torn on how I feel about Mihai. On the one hand, I can see getting bored being a problem if you've been alive for centuries. But on the other hand, if I were in his position, I'd like to think I wouldn't resort to putting my friends'--or at least coworkers'--lives at risk, just to keep myself entertained. He's not a hard character to dislike, and his outlook on life is pretty alien, but on some level at least, it's at least understandable. Even if he is an unconscionable jerk.
That said, his decision to send the kids on a near-suicide mission is what spurs the events of this volume forward. The actual mission, itself, isn't nearly as important as the motivation it gives Shiki, an the opening it gives for the introduction of Nobimaru, who seems like he's going to be a pretty major character.
All in all, this is another great volume. It focuses a little more on action this time around, but there's still room for touching moments, humor, and a pretty damn disturbing ending. I'm so glad I picked up a five-pack bundle of these during a sale, because I'd kind of hate to have to wait to read more.

Mihai the vampire has sent Kabane, Shiki and Akira on a mission for him inside a strange factory that is highly productive but its work force is not all that it seems. What should have been a simple mission turns dangerous, far more than the trio was led to expect.
It does, however, lead the trio to find inner strength they didn't know they had. As a small trip (that Akira is convinced is a vacation) is arranged by Inugami for Shiki, a misunderstanding means they all go to this bathhouse retreat owned by Shiki's uncle. They're going to seach for Shiki's parents as he's now emotionally ready for it. However there is some real horror waiting for them there.
I'm enjoying this for the most part but there are a few misses for me like the some what infantile nature of Kon (who wasnt in this much) and the shallow approach to Akira's fem-boy nature that feels to have no understanding of the psychology of it (feels more like awww aint' this cutesy). I do want to keep rolling with this series.

Volume veramente molto bello. Con la sua voglia di divertirsi, Mihai ha messo in difficoltà i tre ragazzi. Nonostante la brutta situazione, i tre riescono a spuntarla grazie anche a un inaspettato aiuto esterno. Dopo la saga delle kemono zanzare e un divertentissimo capitolo "sull'appuntamento" di Kabane (solo tanto amore per Akira ❤), si passa a una saga di maggiore spessore che riguarda il passato di Shiki. È terrificante quello che le ultime tavole lasciano intuire sia successo alla sua povera madre...

I didn't like the vampire. I get the concept of him being so old at this point that he's bored with everything, and want others to entertain him, and I guess I like a character like that in theory, but no thanks to how it was done here.
I do kind of like how Kabane and Kon are emotionally stunted little robots (i.e. autistic coded), since it makes for some funny interactions between the two and other other characters.

Kon is such a curious creature friend possible love interest for Kabane that when they're in scenes together I thoroughly love the story while the rest of the action sequences in the detective agency doing these jobs (in this case the very vivid mosquito like creatures-- so well drawn!) aren't as high impact but I do love the characters!

This was easily my favorite volume so far. The focus on Shiki and his character development was great. And even the filler chapter about Kabane and Kon going on a date was cute. I'm really warming up to this series and it's characters.

Kon en la portada se ganó las cinco estrellas, además de que en este tomo nos da la introducción para el arco de Shiki y su pasado, sinceramente este tomo lo amo, vemos la interacción de Kon y Kabane en el parque y solo me hace querer amarlos toda la vida, son tan lindos, mis chiquitos hermosos.

Continuiamo le avventure del nostro trio che si ritrova sotto i capricci del vampiro. Poi si finisce per indagare nel passato di uno dei tre. Il nostro protagonista rimane il motivo principale per continuare a leggere questo manga anche se il tutto in maniera un po' spaesante. Vedremo...
