Excellent. Really. And I have the credentials to be very nit-picky (read: scientifically hyper-critical) about this, and it was all to the good - one of the best (if not the best) primers I've seen for the younger set. It has accessible, pertinent info that I'm fairly certain a large proportion of the adult population has somehow failed to retain, judging by the health scams and misinformation they buy into by the millions each year.
Very good. No, I didn't receive a free copy or anything - we have other books in the series (What Are Germs? First Questions and Answers by the same author is a surprise perennial favourite in the household), and so I picked up a few of the others. This is the best of the lot, and I'll be following this author / editor team.
Also flaps - well thought-out, well-aligned, well-illustrated and fun flaps. Heck, even I enjoy opening the flaps! :D
Best of the bunch - a book I think every household with toddlers should have, both for answering questions and being available to hand as a reference volume, and also to drive further curiosity into the subject of biology/human medicine.
