Ice Planet Barbarians meets Indiana Jones in this spicy fantasy romance perfect for fans of Katee Robert!
When my jerk of an ex cheats me out of archeological grant money that's rightfully mine, I refuse to let it derail my career. I'm on the cusp of a discovery that could change everything we know about Loki's role in the Norse pantheon; who needs funding?
I max out my credit cards to get to Norway and find the island I know holds the key to unlocking Loki's history with the gods.
Only . . . I don't find answers.
I find him.
Loki. Ten feet tall. Blue and muscular and very, very curious about how I found the portal between Earth and Jotunheim that he'd hidden centuries ago.
But being interrogated by the king of the Frost Giants doesn't go at all how I expect. Loki is charming, genuine, and seems just as fascinated with me as I am with him.
Plus, he's hot as hell.
I may be trapped in Jotunheim until Loki can figure out how I broke his shroud of protection . . . but my problem isn't being able to get back to Earth.
It's whether or not I can bring myself to leave the god of my dreams.
Liza Penn is the pseudonym of an author living with her family in the piedmont of the Carolinas. She writes the Hotel Ever After books for fun and values her privacy.
"Whether Loki is the Marvel version with a green cloak and golden horns or the ancient Viking god, the one thing everyone can agree on is that he has a smart-ass mouth that people want to sew shut."
Frost giant loki ⭐️ A real girl from the real world gets sucked into the land of Loki and frost giants. I know dresm come true right? It was loki so you know i loved it. But Penn and Luxe do a great job or bringing reality and fantasy together.
“ Whether Loki is the Marvel version with a green cloak and golden horns or the ancient Viking god, the one thing everyone can agree on is that he has a smart-ass mouth that people want to sew shut. Still, I love him.”
“ She tastes like a sunrise, like clouds parting on a gloomy day; she tastes like home.”
“When I first woke up in Jotunheim, I thought I was dead. And then Loki became my heaven.“
I DID NOT EXPECT THIS Wow. A friend of mine messaged me a link with a tiktok where this book was promoted. I saw it was about Loki and instantly bought it without looking up what's it about. And well, It's so freakin spicey. I don't know if it's good like in a good book/story but I did enjoy reading it Haha
So a friend of mine sent me a TikTok about this book and I dropped everything to read it. It pretty much said if you love and IPB then you’ll love this.
Well, ya girl loves both!! So I sent it to more friends and started texting out quotes and ended up creating a whole buddy read! And I’m so glad that I did, this book deserves more love and reviews!
For a novella I am happy with the story, the plot wasn’t too complex that it felt rushed or lacking with how short it was which I appreciate.
The love story, romance, and spice were out of this world! I don’t want to give too much away but will include tropes and kinks at the end.
Faith and Loki’s relationship starts in such a believable way. Like who wouldn’t want to sleep with a 10 foot tall Norse god?! 🥵
Trigger warning ⚠️ • Betrayal • near death experience • explicit sex scenes • group scenes • violence • death • murder •
I wasn’t going to read it but Natasha and Liz have written good smutty marvel books in the past so I went for it. It wasn’t bad, quick read, good spice, and enough plot to make my conscience not guilty 😂
I laughed at the references to Marvel’s Loki, especially the one about Fanfiction. I gotta say the ice was broken (no pun intended) nicely when Faith decided that she was dreaming when she met Loki and took advantage of the situation with some good ole cunnilingus.

First of all frost giant Loki 🥵🤤 this book was a great short read with lots and lots of spicy moments! I do feel the relationship between Faith and Loki was a bit rushed, but again it was a short book but that is the only reason to knock off a star, I would have loved to have more chemistry build up!! I really enjoyed the plot, all the characters and of course allll the spice 😉

As a Loki lover, this book was the perfect quick read! The instant pull between Loki and Faith is wonderful and the ending was all that I hoped for and more. Can’t wait to read the next book in the series.
I really liked the chemistry between Faith and Loki. The historical information of the Vikings was also beautifully woven in through the story. But a fair warning: very steamy read!
Yes! Fucking loved it. I couldn’t get enough of it. The illusions and shapeshifting had me heated. It was great. Can’t wait for the next book in this series 😍
A decent read, with a lil heart stopping moment at the end! Fast paced and nicely written storyline with some juicy smut that you can reaaaaaaaally use you imagination with, can’t wait to read Demon Prince Hades!
Alrighty, let's be honest. The first thing reason I wanted to read this book was that it had Loki in the title. Secondly, the spice. The spice happens pretty quickly and pretty frequently with some serious heat that will have you thirsty for more. The storyline here is a bit different than what most people know as Loki's story, but it was well planned. I will happily read more books written by these 2 authors, but for the love of Loki, write another one of his stories PLEASE. The continuation of this! I loved this story and the FMC so much. Thank you for writing this. This was the first book I've read by these authors, but I'm definitely reading more.
The way that I fell in LOVE with this book! I was in a really horrible reading slump when I got this book as a gift and I fell in love with it. The relationship between Faith and Loki is so sweet and passionate and they are so perfect together! The smutty scenes in this book were awesome, the wholesome moments for my heart and the ending felt so fitting! I cannot wait to read the second book in this series when it comes out and now I have to read the hero’s and villains series immediately! This book is great to pull you out of a reading slump, easy short read. Five stars easy!
I think the best part about this was the storyline. A side note for me would be that, they should’ve expanded more on it. There’s so much that could’ve been done with this to make it enticing and it could’ve been made longer. More could’ve been explained towards the end of the book as well. I think they did a good job writing this. But I wish there was more storyline. There was some mystery in there but again not enough story to get it explained. It could’ve done with some more backstory rather than jumping straight into it. I think they could’ve built it up a lot better.
This was such a great read! I love Norse mythology reads and this spin on Loki was fantastic! I adored that Faith’s excitement about Loki’s world, everything about the way he and his people live their lives leaves her in awe and through that Loki becomes happier than he had been in ages and falls in love with his world again because of her made for such a sweet story. However gruesome some parts were. I am really looking forward to reading more about Faith’s colleagues in their own books in the series, I’m sure they will be as fantastic as this one was!

Really enjoyed this book. Loved getting to learn more about Loki. Not just the trickster, master of illusion or the many with a sharp tongue. The king who helped his people flourish. I absolutely loved Faith's excitement and drive. Her attention to detail. I loved learning about the push that her professor gave her. WHO IS HER PROFESSOR?!? How does she know of Loki, of Jotenheim existence. What else does she know. What is driving her to lead these women to these once believed mythical men.
No plot at all. No suspense, no mystery, no build up. Really, really dull! They meet, they immediately want each other and have sex and that’s it. It’s full of things that don’t make sense just as the fact that Loki is literally double her height yet she has no issues climbing into his chair, his bed, onto his lap. They conveniently have clothes that for her and she of course speaks old Norse to be able to communicate with him and knows every single word she could possibly need. At least I didn’t pay any money for this.
I enjoyed everything about this book except that my petty ass wanted to see the ex get his just desserts! LOL can there be a 1.5 villain arc where he falls prey to a sadistic *insert jerk pantheon god here* b*tch? Please?
The world building was fantastic, I loved the anthropology/archeology aspects of the story. The sex scenes were 🔥🧯🚒🥵🔥.
I also really like the cover, but I think the author names should be just as readable, like in the same bold font as the title, just smaller. ♥
Described as "Ice Planet Barbarians meets Indiana Jones," it is so fitting.
A short, spicy instant love between an archaeologist who studies Loki and Loki, the king of Jotunheim. Faith and Loki were never meant to find each other but once they do, the two dread having to split up. Loki has begun to lose himself in the task of taking care of his people but his life changes when Faith, a human, appears through a left-over portal. He is shocked to find that Faith is exactly what he was missing to bring his mischievous side out.
You might like this book if you enjoy: Giant Ice Giants, Loki, Size Difference, Explicit (spicy) reads, insta-love, and mates.
Honestly way better than I expected. My only qualm is that it is very short, and it leaves you wanting more. But maybe that is not such a bad thing. It's amazing what the authors are able to establish in terms of world building in such a short amount of time. And the smut is really good, I only wish there was more of it, much like I wish there was more of this book in general. Easy to finish in one sitting and would definitly reccomend for any other Loki lovers out there.
I didn’t know what to expect going into this book. I was shocked to how quickly it captivated my attention. I’ve always loved the lores about Loki and this book was my first Loki romance book. it didn’t disappoint. Everything from the plot to the spice had me on the edge of my seat. And the spice oh my did it not disappoint 👏🏻
Can I just say that the writing from the heros&villians stories to this series has improved greatly? It no longer reads like a mediocre wattpad fic. I loved this story! As someone who studies norse mythology and the deities, I ate this shit up like cake. Frost giant Loki is the best Loki in my humble opinion.
It was short. To the point. And well written in my opinion. The spicy scenes were a thing of glory. And the plot twist near the end there was brilliant. If you leave off, and do not read the final chapter. It is a stand alone. But after finishing the epilog, ofcourse I need more of these great mythical beasts!
As someone who is completely obsessed with Loki I had to give this a read. Let me tell you it doesn’t disappoint! From the start I was hooked and I honestly had to take my time. I didn’t want it to end!
It was to the point with all the world building sprinkles in for the perfect balance. I was NOT expecting that ending! I already have the second book of the series uploaded to start.
This was absolutely fantastic and has it all. My favorite one so far. Definitely pick it up and give it a read if you liked Ice Planet Barbarians or you have read all the frost giant Loki fanfics on AO3.
A fun tale that combines Frost giant Loki with Ice Planet Barbarians. This also has a bit of fated mates vibes. I did like the set up of the story and think it had a nice ending. Second one should be fun too.
This story wasn't anything like I envisioned. It was wonderful. I am so glad I took a chance and read this book. Now I have more to look forward to from this series and these amazing authors.
Oh my. This was *delicious* and I can not wait for the next installment! Everything you've ever wanted from a Loki romance... size differences, shape shifting, spicy shape shifting, a king who worships his queen.... I want to go read it again.
