Silly sarcastic look at Brothers. You probably won’t find it as funny as the people who wrote it: but at least there are some gorgeous classic ladybird illustrations to look at.

Another mildly amusing Ladybird spoof. The short format does help when the end of the year is getting closer and the reading challenge is running to plan. Just. Short books like this help.

Pretty funny for people of a certain generation, say in their 40s and 50s now, who grew up reading ladybird books. It's OK, but my brother did little more than crack one wry smile when reading it.

A Christmas present from my brother, inevitably enough.

This is the first of the Ladybird for Adults books that I've read and it really is very funny indeed. Essentially a series of short jokes, for which the picture provides the punchline, the book had me laughing out loud several times, much to the annoyance of my own boys.

Recommended for anyone who both grew up with Ladybird books and has a brother.

Didn't make as big an impression as some of the adult Ladybirds, but then I did read it a bit too soon after Baby which may have robbed it of some impact. And fundamentally, in this case I am one, so don't have the same point-and-laugh distance from the topic.
