A dangerous killer makes his way north from Denver, heading for the upper reaches of Canada and leaving a trail of victims in his wake, all caught in his signature macabre traps. The FBI needs Special Agent Katie Winter to team up with her elite cross-border team to hunt him down—but in the remote northern regions of Canada, will this diabolical hunter lead her straight into a trap?
FBI Special Agent Katie Winter is no stranger to frigid winters, isolation, and dangerous cases. With her sterling record of hunting down serial killers, she is a fast-rising star in the BAU, and Katie is the natural choice to partner with Canadian law enforcement to track killers across brutal and unforgiving landscapes.

Katie is trying to understand what really happened when her sister disappeared and for that she need to talk to her parents, but that is going to be difficult, so many years have gone by! She gets involved in tracking a serial killer that without using any weapons - only traps - is able to kill people, and the number of corpses keeps on adding up. Katie and Leblanc pursue every lead, get themselves in horrible set ups, until one of the leads proves to be useful and they have the break they need. Believe me has a strong plot, is fast-paced story and well written, providing good entertainment. I downloaded a free copy of this book and this is my honest opinion.
A dangerous killer is retreating to the home of his youth. Katie and her partner are both nearly killed in this frigid isolated cabin. She and her French partner are growing closer but he has a big decision to make. Will Leblanc stay with the task forcer or return to France. This killer is an experienced tracker who sets traps, snares and booby traps. A real nail biter!

FBI Agent Katie is excellent in her role in this series. Going back to Canada for answers, will she get them , or will the killer win. A good tight, emotion filled plot, that readers will enjoy. Given ARC for my voluntary review and my honest opinion.
Oh my. Winters and Leblanc are on the hunt for a serial killer who is diabolical. He sets crazy traps that kill before you even know you have tripped the trap. Can they find him as he travels farther north into Canada before he kills again
Enjoyed another one story about SA Winter and Detective Leblanc. Difficult case, cruel and delusional killer and lots of cold icy weather. Going onto the next one, can't wait to see will there finally be something more between our heroes
I found the book a little too graphic and gruesome and often considered giving up on it. I enjoy the series though. Would love more interaction with Winter & Leblanc.
This was another good Katie Winter story. It had a decent bit of suspense in it. The ending however in my opinion (just my opinion) was mildly anticlimactic. Over all though I enjoyed this read. I am looking forward to the next in the series.
This was an unputdownable book!!! Wow! Molly’s writing has gotten better and better with each book in this series and this one was the best so far. I have just purchased and started book 5. I definitely will be reading a lot more of her books!
I’m really not sure why I continued with this series. I wanted to find out what happened with Katie’s sisters disappearance. Instead it was a unrealistic chase of a mad killer through Canada. So many parts of this story were so far fetched and unbelievable. I have read many police procedural and this one was way too far fetched to come close to believe. And the narrator, the accents are getting very tiresome. And the ending. Ugh. It really angered me
