It's a modern-day love story that's more Grimm than Disney, if singing mice and dancing crabs are what you were looking for, this is not the series for you. Totally immersive writing that takes you on a journey.
If you have read either Awoken or Ascend, then you have to read Hallowed, the third in the series and the most immersive storytelling I have read in a long time. I thoroughly recommend the trilogy to all readers.
The story of Grace continues and I made a note to say that in Chapter 3, where Grace is in a certain room (no spoilers) it was some of the best writing that I've read for a long time. To read and not be totally immersed in her story is impossible.
This is an author that makes you feel that you are the protagonist and you have to feel every emotion that Grace goes through, and there are lots.
As usual, the author, Billie Jade Kermack, grabs you in at the start of this novel, tightens the hold she has on you, and forces you to keep going, chapter after chapter. Never has the phrase 'just one more chapter' been more relevant as the story is hard to put down.

I have been so excited to read this book, Awoken and Ascend were amazing: YA Paranormal reads.
The author Billie Jade Kermack is a descriptive and beautiful writer.
* Book Three in the Shadowed Veil series.
This book was not disappointing, it was full of twists and shocks. As always the writing was effortlessly engulfing. I smiled, I threw my hand over my mouth and I cried.
I have loved reading Gracies and Beaus love story, and how all the shocking secrets unfold. The author included such detail into the previous two books, and how they all come together is just wonderful.
How exciting to escape into a world in the pages filled with romance, supernatural, mysteries, secrets and emotions.

This book was ok… It took me for ever to finish. I was so excited to read this book since book 2 let me very excited, sadly this didn’t work for me. I felt that there were some things that were left hanging, Grace and Beau would found clues and discovered things and then other new thing comes out even tho they haven’t resolved the first one, lots of holes in the plot. Way too many unbelievable things happening from the beginning of the story. I feel like I missed part of the story. The ending was cute!

I have completed this magical and lovely story! Hallowed is book 3 of the Shadowed Veil series and it’s amazing! Billie Jade Kermack beautifully writes the happenings of Grace, who sees ghosts and is quite capable of magic as she is descended from witches. I’ve said too much now 🙊 This book had more mystery to it than the first 2, I believe. Many questions were finally answered. I must say though, there is just 1 question at the end of this book that I have. You’ll need to read it to know what I’m talking about! Grace and Beau are still the cutesie couple who cleverly bicker yet love with a strong passion. I want more of their adventure!

After the end of book two, I couldn’t wait to dive into the third book in this series. I adore Kermack’s way of setting you down in the midst of her characters, with twists and turns that will leave you guessing. I adored the world she’d built and the characters within them. While there were some secrets that I was able to work out before the reveal, none of them ruined the story for me, and that ending just about made me cry with joy. Very much enjoyed this series and Kermack is an author who can only get better with time.

The Third in the series, Hallowed is an intense story that is a perfect culmination of this trilogy. It continues Grace's story with intricate details, suspense and elegantly written plot twists. The author's writing style leaves you begging for more and the story stays with you and has you thinking long after you are finished. Highly recommend you read all three!!!!

June 8, 2022Loved this trilogy!!!! There was so much that happened in this book I didn’t expect. I want a 4th book!!! I am dying to know what happens with Beau, Grace ,Gwen and their loved ones. Definitely need to read.

This series has been amazing! I have loved every book! Definitely recommend reading! Gracie and Beau’s story kept me on my toes through each story. So much sadness but everything that happens makes everything align perfectly!
