The dark alleys of Reema write too many unwanted tales.
After Catron discovers she’s an Incantor, an artisan with the ability to create magical objects, she’s desired by every magician and monarch in the land. When a dangerous western kingdom kidnaps her roommate, she knows it is her they are truly after. With Azer and Fivlon by her side, she will travel over the mountains to an unknown city to rescue her friend.
Soon a magician from the academy appears to aid in the rescue. Catron is thankful for the help of someone who can use her magical objects, despite the protests of her companions.
But as the magician’s mark, sealed by a fire pact, begins to burn beneath her skin… she wonders if she should have listened to them.
I loved the first book in this series, but the second was even better!!
Kindt has a way with surprising you with her twists and turns in her stories. I’m still in shock with the way this story took a turn! I loved every minute and it had me turning the pages wondering what would happen next.
The characters are all so different, coming from different backgrounds, and it became evident how those backgrounds affect the way they grow, or change, when under extreme circumstances. I’m trying to express this without giving anything away. The world building as they traveled to different places was very impressive. The plot flowed beautifully and moved along at a really good pace, which made me not want to put it down (I love that!).
This is one of those stories that sticks with you after putting it down. I couldn’t stop thinking about it. If you like YA Romantic Fantasy with lots of adventure and magic, you need to read this series!!! I can’t wait for the next book!!!
This book was excellent ! I read the first one again just to refresh my memory. These books are so good you just can’t stop reading them. Looking forward to the next one. Then going to read the green door again because some of the same characters are in it.
What an excellent book! I kept reading into the wee hours of the night because I couldn't put it down! Heather has a way of writing that captures your imagination and runs with it!!
This book is a spinoff from The Vradian Academy series, and even though it took me a while to read the sequel, I still enjoyed it. Catron's story is told in a a fun narrative that still manages to deepens the reader's connection with the characters and story. I'm especially eager to know more about Brandon—does he have good intentions, or is he hiding something sinister? I'm looking forward to read the next one!
This book was an exceptional read. The third in this series at the Academy. The friends went through so much together. You found out the good from the bad and also the very wicked. I would definitely recommend this reading to anyone. The writer has outdone herself yet again.
As with each book, The Magician’s Mark has a few blips in it but nothing major. It’s a great continuation of the series. Fast, easy YA so not a lot of hype but enough twists to keep you reading.
