In GIRL SEVEN: CRAVED, women are turning up dead with a precious stone mysteriously left on their bodies. What type of stone is it? What is the significance?

The plot line and cases are great but after 7 Books Maya’s internal dialogue gets incredibly repetitive. I don’t want to read why she doesn’t tell Harris information and the reasoning behind all her decisions a million times.
Girl Seven: Craved by Molly Black is another quick and easy installment in the Maya Gray series — fast-paced and addictive, but still a bit predictable and ultimately forgettable.
At just 215 pages, it’s a lightning-fast read that delivers the familiar formula fans expect: immediate action, swift investigation, and a resolution that wraps things up neatly. The plot moves smoothly, but there are no real surprises — the twists are fairly predictable, and the overall mystery doesn’t break new ground.
One thing that’s starting to wear thin, though, is the case setup itself. Every book revolves around a strangulation that happens at midnight during a full moon. I get that this ties into the Moonlight Killer storyline, but after seven books, this pattern is definitely starting to feel repetitive and lacking in freshness.
What continues to hold my interest is the ongoing Moonlight Killer storyline, which adds a layer of tension and keeps the larger arc moving forward. However, like before, this thread unfolds slowly and feels a bit stretched out across too many books.
The characters remain serviceable but not deeply developed. Maya is competent and likable, yet the story rarely delves beneath the surface. The quick pace keeps things moving but leaves little room for emotional depth.
That said, I LOVED the cliffhanger at the end — it gave me such a rush, and I’m genuinely so happy I can jump straight into the next book.
Overall, Girl Seven: Craved sticks to the established formula: fun, fast, and easy to consume, but lacking in lasting impact or memorable moments.
Short, sharp, and reliably entertaining — perfect if you want a quick thriller fix, and that ending definitely has me hooked for more.
This book felt much more repetitive than those previous in the series. Lots of recapping relationships...etc. The ending was an excellent cliffhanger, but it wasn't enough to redeem the entire book.
In the previous book, Maya was a bit less irritating, but in this one, she was even more infuriating than usual… and I’m quite annoyed, because I didn’t plan to read the next book, but because of the freaking cliffhanger, I have to 😑
What a ride! Girl Seven: Craved pulled me in right from the start and never let go. The mystery of the women found dead with a precious stone left behind was both chilling and fascinating. I couldn’t stop wondering—what type of stone is it? What’s the significance? Could it be the key to finally unmasking the Moonlight Killer? Molly Black does such a great job at building tension and leaving just enough unanswered questions to keep me hooked. And that cliffhanger at the end—wow!! I immediately had to jump into book 8 because I need to know what happens next. Maya continues to be a strong and determined character, and I love how each book layers more depth into her story while keeping the suspense sharp. If you enjoy fast-paced thrillers with just the right amount of twists, this one won’t disappoint. On to the next! 📚🎧
❤️This is a quick and fast paced read. ❤️The different crimes/cases (plots) to solve in between the books while the underlying main plot is to solve the kidnapped and/or murdered women. ❤️The fluidity in between books are easy to follow so I do not feel obligated having to read them one after the other. I could read other books in between and go back to the series easily. ❤️Likeable characters specifically Maya and Marco; their great dynamic in exploring and solving cases and their "budding" love story. ❤️Even with only 200-ish pages, there is no lacking of twists and turns which makes the book even more compelling to read.
👍I highly recommend👍not just the book but the whole series especially if you love quick reads, police procedural type and filled with twists and turns.
Maya Gray is starting to unravel with all the pressure to solve the tasks set by the Moonlight Killer. Her boss at the FBI is no help with his interference and threats to take back her task force. This time she and Marco are nearly killed in a takedown of the Moonstone Serial Killer. They find the captive the Moonlight Killer left in the woods but to punish Maya he targets poor Marco and the guy may not make it!!

Boy boy...talk about ending on a cliffhanger! The case Maya is racing to solve in this installment hits really close to home. A killer is out there killing women and leaving moonstones with their bodies. Maya has to find out who, and why, in only 3 days this time, in order for another woman to go free. Will another bunny be saved? Will Maya be safe? Will Marco? The storyline in this one was, again, rather predictable, however the ending left me yelling "Really? Really?!"
Maya is again running against time in a case where she has to find who is the culprit that is abducting and killing women. The Moonlight Killer is again threatening lives and she has Marco's support and also the support of the local Police force where the crimes occurred. She will have to work even harder to solve this case and make her boss actually comply with her actions. Great read!
4.5* This was such a quick read for me! I could not put it down!
This series has me by a chokehold and I do not want to stop! So thankful the next two are available now because I am on the edge of a cliff each time I finish one of these books! This one got me though!
I find this series very addictive, but also frustrating at times. Many of similar scenarios keep repeating themselves because of this crazy serial killer and kidnapper. I get frustrated with Maya because of her foolish choices. Yet I understand her desperation to try to save her sister and the other women. Great book and series.
Really liking this series so far but was slightly disappointed with this one. It was quite repetitive at times with describing her involvement with the moonlight killer and how her boss is annoying her. At this stage we know. We’ve read 7 books of it. My version also made a mistake with mayas name - it said “Paige said…” rather than maya. Weird
I've just finished another great read. I love how so involved you get into the storyline. This one left a little more of a cliffhanger than usual. Looking forward to the next book. I'm sure you've noticed, I wrote nothing of the storyline. I generally never do. I want you the reader to experience the story like I did. Enjoy.....
The story line is interesting and I’m invested now… I really want to know how it keeps unfolding and what happens in the end, it’s just when you’re reading the whole series, all of Maya’s internal dialogue becomes so redundant and at this point I’m tired of being reminded that she knows the kidnapper is a serial killer but she can’t say that to anyone and other thoughts that go on internally
Finished this just before the end of the year Another girl another story
Because I'm half way I have to keep going with this series but I want mya to not be so whiney. Your sister is kidnapped we get it you get moody when shit doesn't go your way but now look what you've done... Dome on book 8 for being about Marco!!!!!!
This series has be in a chokehold. This one did feel a little more repetitive than previous books in the series. I did not expect the ending with Marco and quickly started the next book to know if he survived or not.
I highly recommend this series.

it’s getting repetitive. I think by book 7 the readers know Maya is doing this for her sister. We know why she doesn’t tell Harris everything. I need to know what happens - but I need a break from this series.
I'm on book 8. Won't stop now. However, Mayas' internal dialog is getting quite annoying and repetitive. And I bet she will go somewhere ALONE AGAIN, And will ALMOST die at the hands of a killer and will think about her loved ones and how she should have done better... only to be saved!

okay wow the ending caught me off guard and is a sneaky way for me to pick up the next book. I liked this book a lot better than girl six and the more I read, the better these books get. They are fast paced and each one leaves you hanging, wanting to pick up the next book. Keep these coming!
