Sophie I love my boss. Liam Whitby is brilliant, funny, and makes a lab coat look sexy. He’s also completely uninterested in me.
Until one late night at work changes everything.
Now, we can’t keep our hands off each other and the sparks could cause fiery chaos in the lab.
Liam I don’t date coworkers. At least not since my messy breakup with my lab tech. I’m determined to stick to my vow, even if I’m constantly imagining what my fellow chemist, Sophie looks like in nothing but a lab coat and heels. Sleeping with Sophie is a mistake, but I can’t resist her sweet kisses or our explosive chemistry.
Even though I only want a casual relationship, our bond is elemental. Is that why I can’t stay away from her?

The Chemist is a short steamy read for those of you who prefer it a little spicy🔥
I love how Sophie is such a strong woman whose upfront about what she wants and needs. Liam is such a sweetheart with all of his compliments and everything. Can’t wait for the next book since I’m really invested in Finns and Hatties story.❤️
I love how Gray’s men are so protective of their girls and that they would do absolutely anything for them. Maybe I feel like for her books because the first books that I’ve read were written by her. She’s an amazing writer so I suggest you read at least one of her books. And they all end in HEA.✨

Ramona does it again. Liam is the perfect representative of what I consider a modern man. Still a guy but more open and emotionally in tune. I love the humor in this one and found myself giggling every few pages even right after some serious moments. Short and sweet but ohhhhhh so sexy. And The things that Liam say… chefs kiss*
I received an ARC of this book and am leaving an honest review.
Well that was delicious! A strong feel-good, steamy read. First off, full disclosure, there isn’t a Ramona Gray book I do not like. She’s fantastic! And yes, I read her other pen names too. All of her books are one-clicks for me.
There is so much I loved about this read. I enjoyed seeing the leads as both smarty-pants scientists. I appreciated the depiction of a bisexual character, and I enjoyed it being the male (I’ve seen more female bi/pan representation in recent books I’ve read). The characters have depth and chemistry. The angst is good but not over the top. This read is fun, fast, swoony, and smutty in perfect measure! I was sucked in from page one. And of course, as with all her books, the side characters are interesting. The preview of the next book has me anxiously awaiting its release. Thanks, Ramona!
The Chemist is the first in a new series by Ramona Gray. It is a sweet, sexy, short and very fun read. The story follows Liam and Sophie who are chemists that work together. Liam is Sophie's boss and she's completely in love with him even though she believes he's gay. And he has a huge crush on her but is afraid to act on it because of a previous work relationship gone wrong. But they're "chemistry" (see what I did there) is too strong ignore. Both characters are great and even when Liam is being dense he is still completely loveable. Ramona does a a fantastic job setting up the supporting characters in this book that I can't wait for the next installments.
The Chemist was a fun short ride. Romona always does a fabulous job of sucking you right into the world of her characters, regardless of how short the journey. From book one I am already excited for what is to come for the friends and family surrounding the leads. As a queer person, I really enjoyed seeing representation and especially bisexuality referenced. I love that it was never really made a part of the discussion regarding their relationship. Liam and Sophie were a fun and hot start to what I know will be a sexy and wild ride! I "patiently" await the next installment!
Co-workers to lovers. Liam has be stung once by a co-worker and is determined to keep his personal life away from the office. Sophie also dated a co-worker and was stung is the most personal way possible by someone she trusted. Sophie has been in love with her boss Liam but he is determined to keep his personal life out of the office. The attraction between the two is just too strong, it was supposed to be a one time thing but they are both hooked and can't control their feelings. I loved this book. Great characters with a steamy story line.
Don’t let this short story fool you. Ramona’s talented penmanship draws you into her characters and their intense chemistry and feelings for each other keep you wanting more. Liam’s sweet yet dirty talk combined with Sophie’s raw openness and resiliency after a very public humiliation made me fall hard for this couple. Once I started, I just had to keep reading to find out more. Can’t wait to dive into Finn and Hattie’s story.
I love to read before I go to bed to shut my mind off from my busy day and Ramona Gray’s novellas are the perfect size. They also don’t feel rushed and feeling disappointed. I loved her working man series so when I heard she was writing a series about sexy scientists I was all in. I love the chemistry between Liam and Sophie. Can’t wait for the next in the series. I received an ARC of this book for an honest review.
I just love a great boss and employee romance and Ramona Gray didn't disappoint. Book is about a boss Liam and his employee Sophie. They both are attracted to each other but each don't act on it because one believes the other is gay and the other doesn't want to because of past work relationship. But with the chemistry between the two you are bound to eventually act on it an that is just what happens. An the other characters were great too.
A short and steamy work colleagues/friends to lovers read. Ramona always tells a good story with varying degrees of awww and steamy hotness. This had pretty equal measures of both and certainly some scenes where you'd like to clip them both round the back of the head. Enjoyable and fun.
I received an ARC for an honest and voluntary review.
The Chemist by Ramona Gray is a short, sizzling story, this is the first in the Sexy Scientist Series. Liam and Sophie work together and the fun begins. These two each harbour feelings for each other and Ramona Gray spins a fun read, lots of steamy, little oh my…and HEA. Looking forward to the next story in the series.

Nothing in the book blurb tells you that in the first few pages of the book we find out most of her co-workers have seen her in a sex tape with her ex boyfriend. The ex got angry he was fired (they used to work together) so he emailed the link to a sex tape to all of their co-workers.
It was a great read. I love Sophie and was happy to see that she got her heart's desire. They agreed to a friends with benefits relationship, but it was clear to see they both wanted more. Love the story. Looking forward to reading Hattie and Alina stories.
This book was like Ramona Gray’s working man series which was fantastic. Strong woman, sweet man and confusion about love followed by amazing sex and a happy ever after. What’s not to like? Can’t wait for the next one.
A carefully kept distance between Sofia and her boss Liam ( because she thinks he’s gay and he thinks she’s not interested in him) is reset when an embarrassing situation makes them lower their guard. Steamy and compelling novella, first in a new series, perfect for a quick and romantic read.
This book is hot. I loved the characters, the quick opening, and can see how it will expand into more books. This is a great read for anyone wanting to give Ms. Gray a chance.
Loved everything about this book except that I wish it was full length and not a novella! Loved this couple so much I wish there was more! Can’t wait to see what else this author has in store!
