Insta love

If you like a slow burn/get to know each other kind of story then stay right away from this one! This story went so fast, yet everything happened in a few weeks. The 2 mc’s both admitted that they did not want a relationship and in the same chapter they jumped into bed. It was way too fast, next thing you read they love each other. Ridiculous really, but the story was good so I kept reading. The writing was not really to my liking and had grammar errors. Unfortunately an average read that could have been much better.

After learning a horrible secret about her recently deceased boyfriend, Eden decides to give up on love and focus on her career as a journalist. She's thrilled with the opportunity to interview evasive mogul Noah Ainsworth and is surprised to discover he is younger- and more attractive- than expected.
Noah finds it difficult to trust anyone; he's been burned before. But when he chances upon a beautiful woman searching for her dog, he's captivated. Then he learns she is the journalist hired to interview him and his armor comes up- though he can't seem to resist the opportunity to spend time with her.
Soon, Eden and Noah move into a relationship, but the past threatens to tear the two lovers apart.
This is an interesting read with plenty of twists and turns that kept me wondering whether Eden and Noah could resolve their differences or not.
The dogs, Bella and Duke, were adorable!

Actually, I did not finish this book as it was not to my liking and the storyline did not grab me.

To begin with, I was encountering occasional gross spelling errors (braised for braced - really?) as well as grammatical errors. I had hoped there would be some substance to the story but a third of the way through I was hit with a graphic description of an encounter between the two main characters. I decided that the book was not for me.

A Captivating Romantic Suspense
At the funeral of her fiancé, Eden Marshall discovers that not only has he been unfaithful—the other woman is expecting his child. After a year of mourning his death, she’s finally ready to move on with her life and lands her dream job—a journalist for Imperial Home Magazine. Her first assignment is to interview Noah Ainsworth, a wealthy bachelor. Her boss warns her to avoid asking any questions about his accident.

Noah Ainsworth guards his privacy, living in a mansion in a small town. He hasn’t dated after his former girlfriend plowed into him with her car, leaving him near death three years earlier. Noah has no interest in allowing another woman to get close to him.

Both Eden and Noah have relationship trust issues and aren’t looking for romance, but things change when Eden walks into his house to interview him. As their love for each other grows, danger surfaces. Someone wants to destroy their relationship, but also wants them dead. Can the love and trust they feel for each other survive through the turmoil and danger they face?

This is a well-executed, intriguing story that shows the heartache and struggles both Eden and Noah had to overcome to allow love into their lives again. Their dogs, Duke and Belle, added a wonderful touch to the story. Their loyalty and devotion to Eden and Noah is heartwarming. The author skillfully weaves tragedy, romance, trust, danger, and a heartless villain into an exciting, engaging novel. Highly recommended!

Finding You – A Page-Turning Romantic Suspense By USA Today Bestselling Author D.G. Torrens.

Eden Marshall has lost the man who she believed was the love of her life in a car accident one year earlier. Although all was not as it appeared with their four-year relationship, she’s decided to move forward by focusing on her career as a journalist after a devastating revelation the day after Jacob’s funeral.

Wealthy bachelor Noah Ainsworth has a dark secret that he’s hiding, so when he finds himself drawn to Eden, who’s been assigned to personally interview him, he does what he can to keep his distance, although it’s easier said than done.

Finally, Noah gives in, letting down his guard when he can’t stop thinking about her, even willing to come out publicly when their relationship becomes serious.

But will his suspicions tear them apart when Eden’s endangered after his dark secret is revealed? And will Eden be able to forgive Noah for his lack of trust?

This is an intriguing romantic suspense, with a unique plot, filled with lots of twists and turns. There was some great development of the central characters in particular. I really enjoyed the humorous moments featuring their dogs, Bella and Duke, who also were having a little fling of their own, which seemed to draw Noah and Eden together during the more tense moments of the story.

All in all, a fantastic read, which I highly recommend!!

This romantic suspense is captivating. Eden Marshall and Noah Ainsworth have both lived through tragedy and soul-crushing disappointment, and live worlds apart. Eden has been trying to survive the shock of discovering that her just-deceased fiancé had been unfaithful. Noah, a wealthy bachelor living in a remote mansion, still suffers the shock of his former girlfriend hitting him with her car, leaving him near death years earlier. He has allowed no woman near him since.

For Eden, things start to look when she lands her dream job as a journalist. Her first assignment is to interview Noah, although she is warned not to ask any questions about his accident.

It’s wonderful to think that even the most discouraged of us can find hope, but that’s what happens with Eden and Noah. They recognize each other as wounded souls. But as their attraction for each other grows, danger surfaces. Someone wants to destroy their relationship and wants them dead. Can the growing trust they feel for each other survive the danger they face?

Twists and turns kept me turning the pages fast, following one threat – but shared threat! - after another until the surprise finale explodes. The ending is spellbinding. If you're a fan of romantic suspense, I highly recommend this story.

I love Romantic Suspense which drew me to this book from a writer that I had not yet read, but who was highly recommended to me. FINDING YOU was everything I'd hoped it to be, and now I have a new favorite mystery author!
The main characters, a young journalist Eden Marshall and Noah Ainsworth, a brilliant, successful businessman who is hiding from the world and keeping his secrets safe-- is the beginning of a perfect romantic novel that quickly speeds into heart-thumping suspense.
The plots twists and turns will keep you turning the pages quickly, following one disaster after another until the surprise finale explodes, and all secrets are revealed. A great wrap up concludes this intriguing book, which I enjoyed from start to finish.
I highly recommend this book and author D.G. Torrens will now be on my lists of new authors to enjoy.

So I attempted this book before but stopped because the writing style and pacing wasn't for me. But I decided to give it another go as I liked the characters. Now I have read it all, it just wasn't for me. I didn't get on with the insta love, repetitive and unrealistic sex scenes, unnatural dialogue etc. It just all felt unrealistic and lacking depth. There is potential to the story, but it almost felt like it starts off as one genre and ends in another.

There are also several mistakes and inconsistencies that got frustrating. If you can overlook that sort of thing you may enjoy it more. It is a quick story, very pacey. If you're a dog lover, they feature a lot! But this isn't one I would actively recommend...a miss for me!

Lots of drama

I always roll my eyes when a romance develops in 2 days, that's just not realistic. The writing was stilted and not smoothly written. I felt like it was being told to me instead of being part of the story line. The depth of so much drama was just crazy and too many layers. I think there were too many dramas with very light explanation maybe to intensify the suspense in the story line? It just seemed weird and wrapped up quickly. I kept reading because I wanted the solution even though it was painful to get through the writing. Full novel, no cliffhanger with a weird HEA.

You know you can keep a secret but a secret can sometimes keep you!
“FINDING YOU’ is a beautiful story by a great writer. I can’t count the number of times I have left Waterston’s or W.H.Smiths with a book that is nowhere near as well written as this one. We do indeed live in strange times! Captivating and spellbinding D.G Torrens characterisation and general ability as a storyteller is absolutely top-notch. I gather she has written quite a lot of books. Time to track them down!

Did not finish

I gave up at 38 percent because I felt like I had no reason to continue. The instant relationship that didn't feel like it had anything behind it was in full swing and nothing even hinted at suspense. The writing does not flow how I need prose to. It felt distancing and a bit stilted and choppy. So instead of drawing me into the story, it kept pushing me further away. I may be low on reading material, but I'd rather reread something else than continue.

A Fresh Twist on Romantic Suspense, Finding You delivers everything I love—gripping suspense, emotional depth, and slow-burning romance—without falling into the same old tropes. The writing style pulled me in, the chemistry felt real, and the plot kept me turning pages. A refreshing, heartfelt read that stands out in the genre.
