Take me to Ireland!

I thoroughly enjoyed this book! Not only do the authors write well, they’ve captured the beauty and spirit of Ireland in such an attractive way, You can feel their own excitement and fondness spilling off the pages!
At the heart of it, of course, the story is a simple and familiar one, of people who have undergone bad relationships and betrayal, coming together and rediscovering themselves and their ability to share love again. What sets it apart, and what made me smile almost throughout the time I read this, was the characters themselves. The female lead, Brie, is a mature career woman and is entirely relatable, be it her thoughts about her best friend's marriage, to the hot guy who saves her from possibly drowning in a lake, to her future career path. The male lead has his own baggage, but what I loved most was that he’s Not been written as some inaccessible hot guy… no, you get right into his perspective from the get go, and I really like how normal his viewpoint is, especially about himself, whereas others might see him as lord of the manor etc. I also like how he's been shown to respect the female lead's choices even though they may not be the easiest ones for him to deal with.
Huge shoutout to the supporting characters, especially the male lead's grandfather and Tack the dog! You will know what I mean right away when you read this book. I also loved all the different connections and friendships Brie makes while she’s in Ireland, including the unexpected kinship with a horrible client's wife!
All in all, this is a thoroughly enjoyable, well written book that will make you happy. Not a single reason why you shouldn’t read this right away!

Oh how I have missed these 2 authors books. I has been awhile but so worth the wait. Not only did I adore the story, it is set in a bucket list destination of Ireland, Priceless!!

When you have an American visiting for her friend wedding but also working on a job whom meets a grouchy man whom just lives in an actual castle and becomes your Knight in Shinning armor, and then saves you from an embarrassing situation at said wedding is the perfect story in my mind. I just loved how Colin and Sabrina whom both were in the right place at the right time to have their little meet cute. She thought he was an Ogre in how he just "saved" her from a drowning her sorrows and she was just what he needed but didn't realize it.

So in the end without spoiling anything, these 2 start an adventure from heartache to learning they can be happy after all. It just shows that all the bad that happens in life can be turned around when you least expect it to.

Lush scenery described in a way that can be seen, Irish brogue that you can hear, and whiskey you can aaaaallmost taste!

Leslie Carson & BB Miller always right my favorite kinds of books - lots of swoony moments, characters with, well, character, and zero contrived angst & drama. Don't get me wrong! This story has drama & angst, but its derived naturally in the story.

Sabrina and Collin are mature characters in that they communicate rather than create problems that don't exist. There are moments when outside forces (other seriously selfish characters) do their best to derail them, and human nature does creep in momentarily. But writing characters with maturity leads to a story full of LIFE rather than stupid, unnecessary drama. This trait in a book is a big deal to me.

A Spirited Life was a beautiful written love story about Colin and Sabrina. Colin has been just going through the motions and had never planned on falling in love again. Sabrina fresh out of a 4 year relationship after finding her boyfriend cheating on her. A story that completely captivates you and drawn into their world right to the very last page. Absolutely and thoroughly enjoyed this book, the characters own your heart and the storyline has you spellbound.

B.B. Miller and Leslie Carson have broken me open with the sweetness and humor of A Spirited Life! Though this was my first of their books, it will definitely NOT be my last!!

I was giggling so hard in the first 20 minutes, trying not to wake Lacey up, as I read the words 'seaweed d***' on my kindle being yelled by Brianna, I almost tossed my kindle in that very moment. Especially when she's trying to slog her poor way through the lake whining about her soon to be ex, and becoming more and more drunk by the moment on batch 41 whiskey made by Colin McGuire as the aforementioned McGuire is grumpily trying to rescue Brie before she falls any further in his lake and drowns.

McGuire is the prerequisite grumpy Irishman, and even though he really, REALLY is kind of a pain the butt the first night meeting Brianna, he does find her a private bedroom, and after that, it all becomes crystal clear why he's such a jerk. He has so much baggage he could fill up his boat and it would probably sink, he manages to keep from being an every day jerk all the time!!

I love the side characters, Tack (the beagle) has so much character, so very sweet. Colin's GrandDa is absolutely adorable, trying to make sure Colin and Brie are hooked up nice and tight! Even the bad guy - Patrick O'Shea has a perfect character arc, and really does get his in the end.

I was so excited that even during the more angsty parts of this book, the authors don't leave the reader totally confused and worried about what's coming next. A Spirited Life is a lot of fun for a first read, and I know I'll be digging my way through their backlog soon!!
