Porter, with the help of some new friends, escapes from the grasp of the police, and immediately seeks to find Evan again. And she won’t stop until she frees him from the clutches of Dark Sky. Before she’s able to do that, and disappear again, she’s going to have to contend with Dark Sky agents, as well as several traps that are set for her to step into.
Will Porter be able to rescue Evan before one of those traps ensnares her? And will she ever be able to finally figure out what exactly happened to her? A mysterious key may hold all the answers.

Announced As The “Final Book In The Series”…But Is It Really?
The latest and announced, “final book in the series begins well, and continues its convoluted course, i.e., twisty, course to its conclusion. Yet I have to worder…Will there again, at some point in time, be yet another addition…
Even though I’ve read the entire series, it has not been one of my personal favorites by this author, as I’ve enjoyed other series, he has written more than I have this one. Still, it garners 5 stars and I can honestly recommend it as “good reading” material.
As an Advanced Copy Reader, I did receive a “free copy” of this book, in exchange for agreeing to write, and post, an “honest” review. I was neither offered nor did I accept any other consideration to influence my review, nor do I have any financial motive for its success or failure. This review is based solely upon my personal subjective enjoyment of the book.
Cari Porter is, or was, an indirect CIA asset. An asset that was used and abused then hunted like she was a criminal. She finds herself trying to remember who and what she is/was. She's spent countless hours and months trying to remember, to learn the secrets, her secrets. There's also been those who helped and those who tried to kill her. This read covers the gamut of escape and evasion, kill-or-be-killed confrontations, moments of tenderness and caring. But always the feeling that there was something just around the corner to send Cari off on another tangent. There was never a dull moment. A rich five stars!
This was another fast moving, entertaining episode in the Porter saga, and I am actually quite disappointed that it is the final book of the series - perhap?
