Cassidy “Cass” Raymond has turned his small clothing store into a multi-million dollar business, designing clothes, styling celebrities, and teaching aspiring designers to do the same. In doing so, Cass has finally reached the peak of his career. With his thirty-fifth birthday approaching, his future is on his mind heavily. He can’t help but think about who he would pass his wealth down to. He promised to never fall in love, only using women for sexual satisfaction, and now, to conceive a child—and he knew the perfect candidate.
Twenty-seven-year-old Abella Anderson looked up to Cass despite how he was always riding her. He had rescued her from her less than desirable decisions in work and men. She’s shocked when he asks her to carry his baby, never thinking it would be the favor she had to repay for Cass taking her under his wing. She finds his arrangement insane and the reasoning even more asinine, but for Cass, she’ll consider it.
Can Abella hold up her end of the bargain and walk away from not only her child but Cass as well to live the life she’s always dreamed? Or will she fall for his charm and end up a childless mother with a broken heart?

Kaye aspires to one day write screenplays and see one of her books in film, but for now she hopes to inspire others to follow their dreams as she has.
This storyline was different and I liked it. Cass didn't expect to develop feelings for Abella the way he did. I do feel like he should have been the one going to her though. Overall I enjoyed the book and I would recommend it.
Damn! I did not know I would be in my feelings like this! I loved Bella's tenacity and how she followed her dream; although it didn't quite start the way she wanted it to. My heart broke for her when she was embarrassed at the shop, but Cass swooped right in for the save! Cass saw something in Bella right from the beginning, and felt compelled to help her! He was always encouraging, taught her the business and she was thriving! Things were going well, until this wild proposition came to be! I thought, this is bad, this can never work! Don't they know that feelings will get involved at some point? Cass' mommy issues had such a chokehold on him, that they stifled him in every aspect of his love life! I was so angry with Cass for his behavior and the hurtful things he said to Bella! Is this the end? Ughh..... my nerves!! 😂 That's all I got. Please read it to find out the rest. You will not be disappointed! 👍👍👍
Cass, Cass, Cass. Abella wanted to work under the great Cass, but found herself trying to make a name all her own. When her client embarrasses her, makes a fool of himself, and fires her in front of Cass's clients and staff he stakes claim, takes her under his wing, and gives her the job of her dreams. 2 years, she's working, designing and putting up with Cass's attitude of "greatness." Never once did she cross a line, but she owes a debt and is waiting for him to collect. After successfully completing a last minute client job the client asks her to tour with her full time the following year. Torn she doesn't know what to do until Cass basically calls her mediocre at best. Sa he rips him a new one and informs him of her impending departure that he doesn't take well.
It's time for him to collect. He wants her to give him an heir, the good old fashioned way, and then leave without a backwards glance. She never wanted children so she thinks she can. That's until it's time to leave at 6 weeks pp.
Cass had abandonment issues from his mom and that's why I think he went the route he did. The stunt he pulled when she was about to leave...I'm glad Abella and Leah both gave it to him. There is so much to say about this short book because so much information was given in such a short time and so much happened I don't want to spoil it. Just read the book. A well fought for HEA.
Imma call this one an emotional mugging. I cried that's not unusual but calling this a love story felt generous at times. Cass’s trauma explained him but it did not excuse him. He built an entire future off fear and control then had the nerve to package it as logic. The wildest part is that his plan guaranteed his child would grow up inside the same emotional drought that broke him. Generational damage dressed up in contracts and couture.
Bella sweet Bella. I wanted to shake her and hug her at the same time. Hoping a man would change when his behavior kept screaming otherwise is a heartbreak too many of us recognize. Cass was hot and cold with Olympic level consistency and somehow she still trusted him enough to love him. That hurt to watch. The power imbalance was loud too. That arrangement felt less like a favor and more like debt collection wrapped in opportunity. A child is what he wants to collect 🤯
I was locked in but every few chapters I was thinking absolutely not could never be me. The emotional weight outweighed the romance and the tears came way faster than the butterflies. This story wasn’t about falling in love. It was about surviving someone else’s unhealed wounds and deciding whether love is worth the cost. This love felt heavy, messy, uncomfortable and unforgettable.

Ms. Lovett this was a magnificent storyline for a novella. The plot was executed well. I just knew that Cass was more into Abella than he cared to admit. He had women at his disposal so he could have asked anyone to mother his child. He was already in love with Abella, he just had to figure out a way to keep her in his life forever. Abella had feelings for Cass as well however they were solidified once he started taking care of her throughout the pregnancy. I had a feeling she wouldn't be able to walk away from Honor. The way she felt about her upbringing would automatically build her connection and make her fall in love with Honor. The planned arrangement that Cass tried to pursue was a blessing in disguise. It failed because love won through all the contracts. Love isn't black or white like a contract it is real.
This was a fantastic read. I loved the determination that Abella had to keep her family intact. She made sure to make her presence and feelings known to Cass. Cass finally admitted his deep feelings as well. I would love to read more about this couple soon. I think the family will expand further. The ladies of BLP have done an exemplary job on this series. If you have not indulged in a novella, I strongly suggest you do.
Definitely a unique approach to character & plot development. “Only for You: The Moods of Love” was a bizarre, weird, peculiar read. I’m both ambivalent & conflicted by “Cassidy “Cass” Raymond” 😐 and his motives, managerial style, objectives & intentions towards Abella. There’s no ambiguity between a “tough boss”, a “hostile work environment”, “a proposition/contract” & “surrogacy” via an assault! WTAH did I just witness 😠😮‼️ …This book’s content wasn’t entertainment for me. …Cass had unresolved abandonment & emotional scars/issues from his mother. Consequently, I refused to romanticize whatever (short or long term) arrangement transpired between him & Abella. …control not love‼️
This book here was everything. I had so many emotions throughout this book and whew I didn’t know if I wanted to fight cass or just hug him!! I love me some Bella and their drive together is powerful in the fashion world. I wanted to fight both of them for that contract!! But the growth between them amazing and when the turmoil happened I felt that!! But mama came back for what’s hers and I loved it!! I’m happy for them!! Kaye keep writing love!!!
Although Cass got on my last nerve the love story between him and Abella was a good one. I’m not sure what would possess a woman to agree to what she did with Cass despite her feelings. I did appreciate the way the emotional “mommy issue” last they both dealt with was worked into their love story and how it affected their behaviors. Overall it was a good and interesting read.
This book took me through so many emotions. I literally boohooed at one point because it was so heartbreaking. I enjoyed reading about the connection and chemistry between Cass and Abella and seeing their love flourish and them no longer running from their love.
An unique storyline that caught my attention immediately. Watching the energy between Cass and Abella was intense. I was concerned how pace of the story quickened at the end causing the ending while welcomed was rushed. I wished that a time component and Cass POV were added. I believed it would have given strength to the story. I still enjoyed it and hated that it ended.
I loved reading Cass and Abella's story. Cass rescued Abella when she needed him the most, helping to launch her career as a stylist. To "pay" him back, he asks her to birth his child. Along the way, they both catch feelings that aren't exactly easy to act one. I recommend reading to see how beautiful their story ends.
First read by this author ✍🏽 and I was not disappointed. I loved the pace and progression of the story. I loved the titled chapters. I like knowing what’s coming🤦🏽♀️. Case and Abella were great together and I am glad she agreed to his proposal and fought for her future husband and son. 😍 loved it!!👏🏽👏🏽👍🏽👍🏽
This is e first book I read from this author, this was a very different approach to a love story and I found it to be very interesting how Cass wanted this arrangement to play out. I can understand his childhood pain but wanting the same life for his child was weird. This book was different but not to bad.
Cass needed some therapy and closure. His mom leaving truly messed him up. I liked that he saw greatness in Abella, yet I was hoping he'd be the one to ensure she knew how he felt about her. I kind of feel like he did way too much asking for payback with what he did and then abandon her when he wasn't getting what he wanted. For a 35 yo man, he needed to grow up.
Abella needed guidance and while I like that Cass took her under his wing in business, she needed a solid woman to help her in life. I'm glad she decided to stay and fight, yet I wish it would've only been for her son. I don't see things lasting with her and Cass.
What a beautiful ending to a strange beginning. With both of them with hurtful pasts, things between them evolved pretty quickly. I like the fact that at the very beginning he poured life into her.
Mr. Music turned out to be the toxic and arrogant person, he was from the beginning.
Wanted go hate Cassidy for forcing Abella into having good child as payback for saving her fun a had guy. Really loved the ending when Bella did not walk away from Cass and her baby Honor. Would recommend this to everyone because it was a meaningful read.
Swoon worthy romance. Kaye really gave us an original and intriguing storyline with Abella and Cass. I really wanted to knock Cass’s head between the washer and dryer at times. Absolutely well written and lovable story!
I just wanna start by saying this book had me in my feelings and wiping my tears! Cass found the right woman to love him right. That damn contract…he was trying to be in total control. Abella was not having it, when love strikes there is no getting away. This was a great short story!!🥰🥰
This storyline in the moods of love series was everything! This was NTM author and this was good way to pull me in.. There were so many emotions that poured out in this book. Everything flowed and I’m so happy Cass cold hearted self let his guard down and got his woman!
Wowww... talk about emotional! This was a really good read with a unique storyline. It was fast paced but I felt every bit of emotions through the characters as I read. Definitely a must read!
Wasn’t a big fan of this book. It was something different but not my type. It did have a good ending which turned out to be good and a lot of healing that is needed for Cass. Crazy how Bella had to go after her man instead of him but that had to deal with his past. Different read.
Only for You was a really good read, despite being a little corny towards the end. Abella just needed a bit of a confidence boost, and Cass was just the man to do it.
What an enjoyable story. Cass and Abella are a unique couple. Meeting under strenuous circumstance only pushes these two together. I was cheering for these two 😊.
