I was sooooooo absorbed by this story!! 😱😱
It was undoubtedly a ‘I-can-not-stop-reading’ case!!
There are not enough words to describe how engaging it was or how much the characters captivated me!!!
Maddison aka Goldie 25 y.o. (I think?) who didn’t have a care in the world that Sebastian was the head mob and most feared man in N.Y.
Sebastian 33 y.o. who was powerful and very dangerous to turn your back on and stay alive. He was a great alpha male!!
Those two were amazing, had incredible banter and an explosive chemistry! The plot was intriguing and very well paced, had suspense, action and heat.

Very light mafia read.
Insta lust
The Goldie got old pretty soon.
I loved that she was a business woman.
But no character development and she didn’t had any conflicted thoughts about his line of job, she just wouldn’t think of it.
He leaves for two whole weeks and comes back to normal? Hell no, woman, make him beg.

TOO BAD THIS AUTHOR REALLY MADE ME DISAPPOINTED WITH THIS BOOK RIGHT HERE. THE OTHER WOMAN IN THIS BOOK IS SO FREAKIN ANNOYING!!!!!! THE OTHER BOOK THAT I READ FROM THIS AUTHOR DOESN'T HAVE OTHER WOMAN OR EVEN OTHER MEN DRAMA... BUT THIS ONE HAS IT AND IT'S FREAKIN ANNOYING. I HATE IT. IT'S ANNOYING AND IT MADE ME NOT LOVING THIS BOOK🥵😡 WHY AUTHOR.... WHY YOU MADE THE OTHER WOMEN HERE NOT ONLY APPEARS ONE TIME BUT MORE THAN ONCE🤮 WHAT ARE YOU THINKING🥲
SADLY THIS WILL PROBABLY BE MY LAST TIME READING FROM THIS AUTHOR ESPECIALLY THIS SERIES... CAUSE THIS SERIES SCREAMS ANNOYANCE.
I thought when I got this book, I will get the same vibe from the previous series that I read you know. So I had a good feeling... THEN MY GOOD FEELING TURNS OUT TO BE MORE ANNOYED WHEN I READ THIS. IT GOT ME SCREAMING A LOT OF BAD WORDS 😒😒😒😒
WHAT I DON'T LIKE ABOUT THE BOOK THAT MADE ME SAY THIS WAY:
1. THE HEROINE IS A FCKING DOORMAT. DAMN. SO FCKING WEAK WOMAN. I LOVE THAT SHE'S A BUSINESS WOMAN BUT WITH A WEAK MINDSET AND A FCKING DOORMAT? GIRL BYE. THE HERO DIDN'T CALL OR EVEN CONTACT HER AT ALL WHEN HE WAS AWAY DOING PERSONAL THINGS WITH HIS FAMILY AND BUSINESS, SHE CALLS HIM AND TEXTS HIM BUT HE DOESN'T ANSWER. HE SEE FROM THE CAMERAS THAT HE INSTALLED AT HER WORK PLACE THAT SHE WAS WORRYING ABOUT HIM BUT HE DIDN'T DO ANYTHING TO REACH HER UP SAY SOMETHING.... NO... LIKE WHAT THE ACTUAL FCK WAS THAT!!!! AND WHEN HE WAS BACK AND GO TO HER PLACE TO SEE HER FIRST THING AFTER HE LANDED IN NEW YORK, THE HEROINE JUST HAPPILY ACCEPT HIM WITH OPEN FCKING ARMS AND HAVE S3X. THE HEROINE DIDN'T MAKE HIM BEG OR SASS HIM. NOOO.... WHEN I READ THAT, I KNOW FOR A FACT THAT THIS HEROINE IS A DOORMAT STUPID WOMAN. ARGH🥵😡
2. THE HERO.... STUPID FCKING MAN.... THE HERO IS A MOB WHO RUNS NEW YORK LIKE HIS PLAY THING. BUT SADLY HE IS STUPID BEYOND WORDS. STUPID WHY? LET ME EXPLAIN: The hero have this other woman name Gabriela on his work place because he said she's very talented and smart on her job that he needed her to do. When the hero meet the heroine and start to pursue her, he still keep the other woman name gabriela at his work place knowing they have a past together. The past is only one night stands, not and never official... EVEN WHEN THE HERO AND HEROINE START TO DATE AND BECOMES THIS OFFICIAL COUPLE, THE HERO STILL KEEP THAT WOMAN AT HIS WORK PLACE. INSANE. BUT WHEN THE HEROINE'S HAVE VISITOR FROM HER FRIENDS THAT ARE MALE WHO WORK WITH HER, HE GOT ALL MAD AND SAID TO HER DO NOT “I don’t want you associating with him anymore”. THE DOUBLE STANDARD. SELFISH MAN!!!!!!!! WHERE ARE YOUR COMMON SENSE!!!!!! 🥵🥵🥵🥵😡😡😒
And the hero didn't even tell the heroine about Gabriela is his ex fck buddy but the heroine know it already. And because the heroine is stupid and fcking doormat and pathetic, she let it slide and didn't even be mad to the hero about it.
3. The other women Gabriela goes to the hero's office twice but the hero let her touch him just seconds on his chest. He threw her out immediately... BUT WHY YOU EVEN KEPT HER WHEN YOU KNOW SHE STILL WANTS YOU??? STUPID HERO!!!!!!! THE HERO DIDN'T TELL THE HEROINE AT ALL ABOUT THIS.
4.THE HERO SAID THAT HE IS RICH BUT STILL KEEP THE OTHER WOMEN AT HIS WORK PLACE🤮🤮🤮🤮 IF YOU RICH THEN WHY YOU DIDN'T JUST GO LOOK FOR SOMEONE ELSE DO YOUR JOB AND NOT YOUR EX FCK BUDDY HUH????!!!!!!
When I read that I was like, seriously author? You made this hero characters is so rich and powerfull but the hero himself still keep that other women to do his business??! Readers can think you know author. And myself think readers are smart enough to say if a man is rich like so rich then he can find someone else to hire or replace someone else, and not the ex fck buddy😒 Especially if the heroine is in his shoes, he would be probably be so mad and tell her to find someone else. So yeah, not cool and super annoying🤮😡
5. IN THE END OF THE STORY THE HEROINE WAS KIDNAPPED BY THE OTHER WOMAN NAME GABRIELA AND THE HERO'S ENEMY NAME RICARDO. THE HERO TORTURED AND KILL RICARDO, BUT HE SENT GABRIELA TO HER COUNTRY SAFE AND FINE. HE DIDN'T DO ANYTHING HARM TO HER. WHEN GABRIELA DID HURT THE HEROINE!!!!!! BUT THE HERO DIDN'T HARM GABRIELA. LIKE WHAT THE ACTUAL FCK IS THAT????!!!!!!!!! 🥵🥵🥵🥵😡 I KNOW that the hero say that he didn't harm women but hey you idiot that women hurt your heroine so bad and you just let her go like that safe and fine??! WHEN I READ THIS, I IMMEDIATELY DON'T LIKE THIS BOOK AT ALL DESPITE THE HERO IS OBSESSED WITH THE HEROINE... NOOOOOO. YOU STUPID HERO. WHAT YOU DID IS STUPID TO LET THAT WOMEN GO JUST SAFE AND FINE. IDIOT.
When you read all of that, you know this book just made me so annoyed and pissed. It really disappoint me. ALTHOUGH this book is not entirely annoying, many scenes that are romantic and great but I'm still annoyed. 30% I like it and the rest just annoys me and I don't like it. I don't know if this worth to read or not for you.... BUT. This may annoying for me but maybe not annoying for you because everybody is different....
The story is well written and little unnecessary childish drama...

GREAT THINGS HE DID TO HER THAT WAS ROMANTIC FOR ME: He fly to her state from new york to make sure she's okay when he heard and see the heroine's is no where to be seen cause they were neighbors (and this is before they even date or have s3x so yeah that was romantic), the hero punch the heroine's abusive father when that father punch the heroine, buys her things, and other cute things too. He have his way with words that without him notice, it was romantic.... THE HERO buys all the photos of the heroine from a photographer because he doesn't want the heroine's picture to be everywhere at the gallery. He even kept one photo and already put it on his office so he can look at her every single time he wants, he really loves it🥺❤️👍

I need a fantasy too, like vampires or strong powerful superpower heroine with great romance. Very super possessive alpha male and no cheating and NOT MANY OTHER WOMEN DRAMA AND HAPPY ENDING. I enjoyed this Mafia story .
Sebastian see her in is club, he is interested in her straight away. Then finds out she is the person who will not sell her gallery to him.
He then goes to offer her a price for the gallery. Knowing that everything he wants he will get. Only to find this lady is not intimidated by him. This sparks his interest in her all the more.

This book, oh my Looooord. I loved the way that Maddison stood up to Sebastian and the way that Sebastian was relentless. Their sexual tension was off the chain, and I was soooo eager for them to finally get together. And when they did, it was fire. The story was entertaining with a nice pace. The action made it very enjoyable. The chemistry between Maddison and Sebastian was very evident throughout the story. I def recommend this if you enjoy mafia romances!!

My Legacy was a great start to a new series.
I was thoroughly entertained the whole way through and was left wanting more, especially after the bonus epilogue that readers could click on at the end of the ebook; I need more information. Is the next book still going to be about Sebastian and Maddison or a different character?
There was never a dull moment throughout this story, I loved Sebastian and how incredulous he was when he first met Maddison, and she stood up to him, which no one ever had; it made for some amusing scenes.
I really appreciated having dual POV'S, I think most romance books should have them, I always enjoy knowing what both lead characters are thinking, and it significantly helped in this book so we could see Sebastian and his job as mob boss and what that entails.
It was steamy, action-packed and full of everything you want from a mafia story.
I cannot wait for book two, and I just discovered before writing this review that there is another series set before this one that features characters in this book; I'm certainly going to be checking those out.
A great mafia romance, I highly recommend that anyone who loves these books pick up a copy of My Legacy.

What a great Mob read! Loved it from start to finish! I didn’t give it 5 stars ⭐️ because I REALLY wish there was more depth to Sebastian’s friends Carter and Dante and of Maddison’s friend Stacy. They were good characters and we were given just crumbs to know a little about them but still left me wanting more!

Buckle up this is a wild ride, dangerous men, alpha personified, possessive, oh, so gorgeous, brooding all the makings of a deliciously story 😊. There will be danger, suspense, kidnapping, and so much more. Within the first chapters you get the panoramic view of whom you’re dealing with!
By the time you’ve figured out who is who and what is what, you’re already hooked, and you may as well give up the fight and prepare yourself for an all-nighter!

Conflict of interest is what we have here Maddison is enjoying her independence with the art gallery which was left to her by her grandmother, selling it isn’t an option, so when the big bad man (sexy as ever) comes in demanding she sell it to him because he has plans for the area of course she refuses and set it to fight for her little gallery. Sebastian sexy as all get out mafia head when he sets his mind on something he usually get what he wants without much effort, he wasn’t expecting a little women to stand up to him or stand in his way, so when his usual tactics fall on deaf ears he needs to see for himself the person who dares to stand up to him and so the journey begins. Sebastian is impressed with the smart, fiercely independent and not to add beautiful women who has him thinking no one will make a better queen for him now to convince her, the attraction is instant, intense that neither of them can ignore the growing attraction between them but she hasn’t budged on the topic at hand which is selling her art gallery so will he keep her safe, will she agree to sell the gallery, and has he found the queen he needs?

This was a really entertaining read! While at his club, Sebastian Romano looked across the crowded club and saw a female that took his breath away. He didn’t realize this was the same woman he had been pressuring into selling her art gallery so he could expand his club. Maddison grew up in an abusive household so when her grandmother left her a great deal of money, she quickly leaves home. She moved to New York and opened her art gallery. When Sebastian and Maddison come face to face, I was laughing hard! She refuses to give up all she has left of her grandmother. She’s dealt with men like him before so she has no trouble making her point clear. The more they argue, the more the tension rises and the more feelings get involved. I was really looking forward to when said tension would break and it was well worth the wait. This had everything I love in a good romance. It was action-packed which kept me on the edge of my seat. I loved the individual qualities the author gave each character. This was time very well spent. This is my honest opinion, freely given.

This was book 1 in the
"Men of New York"
series. This was a good read. Madison/Goldie was happy running her art gallery, until the head of the mob started to take an interest when his goons couldn’t convince her to sell. She wasn’t scared of him even though she should be and made sure he knew it although there was something else about him a connection she felt. Sebastian needs the building to finish his club his men weren’t successful in getting it and when he meets the woman who owns the museum there was something about her, he wants her more than any other woman he has before. I liked that Madison she didn't give into Sebastian. Madison starts to worry when she feels someone following her, Sebastian assures her it wasn’t him she knows things are shifting between them, but she knows she won’t give up her gallery. When he looks into her past Sabastian doesn't like what he finds especially when he finds out someone is following her, so he adds more security to her. I did not like her parents especially her father. I love reading a good mafia read this book had some pretty good sex scenes in it and some good action. This book had a few errors in grammar and spelling. I am looking forward to reading the next book in this series.

Very good mafia romance, full of twists and turns, which includes some characters from previous episodes. The story between Sebastian and Maddison takes time to build because in a way it's a kind of instalove that is born without the two realizing it. Sebastian, despite being the son of a violent mafia boss, allows time for the idea to penetrate him and Maddison also only understands his reaction later.
Between the assaults, the tense mafia environment, the families of the two heroes, the story is exciting, moving, torrid and unpredictable.

Sebastian is set to take over his mafia family, but it's safe to say that he pretty much already runs New York, so what he wants he gets. Maddison hasn't had the easiest life, but these days she's finally living her dream with her art gallery because of what her beloved grandmother left her. Their journey was quite entertaining for me so I couldn't get enough, and let's not forget his life isn't exactly for the faint of heart so there may or may not be some danger as well! You seriously don't want to miss out on this fantastic story that I HIGHLY HIGHLY HIGHLY RECOMMEND!

My Legacy by Samantha Skye is the First book in the Men of New York Series. This is the story of Sebastian and Maddison. Maddison grew up in an abusive home along with her mother. When her grandmother dies and leaves an inheritance she turns it into the chance to be free and opens an Art Gallery. But some guys have been coming to her trying to harasses her into sell the building. When she and her friend go to a club after a long project they have been working on has neared to end she ends up meeting Sebastian. Sebastian is immediately drawn to Maddison but with his new mafia position coming up he has to be cautious. But then he learns about her owning the building he wants to help expand his club. They have the sparks of the attraction they share along with the sparks of their temper. Really enjoyed this book and I will be looking for more from this author and series!

4 "no one touches you Goldie. No one" stars.
It was first book from this author and let me start with fact that I'm not a fan of Mafia stories...
But it was really good!!! I loved both MC's, and Sebastian just went to my top 5 book boyfriends :) Goldie was kick ass heroine but somehow not anoying at all which is great success in my book! I enjoyed their encounters so much...
It was really well written, plot was good and I liked that there was no drama just for the sake of it...
What brought one star down was extended inner monologs that seems repeating some thoughts several times and it got me inpatient...
However this book kept my awake till the wee morning hours and that is the kind of books I like...
I will reach for the next book by this author right away...

This is book one in The Men of New York Series and it is Sebastian and Maddison's story and omg you definitely need to read this book. Sebastian is at one of his club's waiting for Marco who is going out with his sister Francesca who Sebastian has not only put her into hiding but kept her protected from there rather but when he looks across the dance floor he sees a woman in a good dress that completely takes his breath away but as a man in the mafia and due to take over as the head of the mob family he has to be careful about who he brings into his life because of his enemies but he wants to know more about this woman who as affected him like no one else has only to find out that she owns the gallery that he wants to complete his plans and Sebastian always gets what he wants and nobody will stand in his way but when he meets her it is Sebastian that gets the surprise. Maddison has had a really hard life after her father constantly abused her and her mother so when her grandmother died and left her a lot of money Maddison goes to New York and opens her own gallery which was something she always wanted to do. When her best friend Stacey wants them to go to a club as they had both been working hard all week in the gallery getting ready for a show Maddison gives in even though it is not her scene so she decided to stay a while and then go home and that is when she meets Sebastian who has been trying to buy her building by sending his goons to try and intimidate her but she is not selling to anyone and tells him in no uncertain terms not realising just who he is. When Sebastian and Maddison meet the sparks fly and they have a stand off until she turns and walks away making Sebastian absolutely furious. there are twists and turns along with betrayal, danger, kidnapping, death, hope, love and some dangerous situation. Omg the chemistry between Sebastian and Maddison was so hot and intense that you could feel it sizzling of the pages of this book and I thought that my kindle would self destruct . I couldn't put this book down and had to keep turning the pages to see what would happen next and it was so addictive and the roller coaster ride of emotions had me in tears with everything that Maddison had gone through. Samantha Skye is an amazing author and writer and she certainly knows how to keep her reader's attention and on the edge of their seats while reading her books and the depth of her story's are what makes her book's a definite read and have you going back for more and I am really looking forward to reading the next book in this series.

It really is a slow burn, but when the things start to heat, they get really hot.
If you like mafia books with protective antiheroes and fierce heroines you’ll want to read My Legacy. Since it’s a mafia book you can expect some violent scenes.

Sebastian and Maddison “Goldie” make such a cute couple — when they finally admit it. LOL. Sebastian does have a heavy weight set on his shoulders and it was really interesting to see how well Maddison got under his emotional armor. She is a spitfire, but has a heart of gold. Now they just have to admit their feelings for one another — but can Sebastian keep his family’s legacy from reaching and harming her? First time reader of Samantha Sky and I think I’ve picked an outstanding series to start with. My Legacy is the first book of the Men of NY series and I’ll definitely be looking out for book 2. The author gave us a well written book with lots of suspense, romance and intrigue. The characters are very well developed and I felt like I not only knew them but was tagging along for the ride.
Sebastian and Maddison had a great connection. Their banter makes the storyline even better. I highly recommend grabbing up this intense mafia romance. You won’t regret it.

This is the first book in this series and omg you will get drawn in by the characters. Sebastian is a club owner and mob member. He is used to get what he wants. He sees Maddison in his club and is in need to know about her. She does not fall for his charm. It is a slow go for these two. What will happen when she finds out what he plans to do with her gallery?

Wow, this story is fast paced and I was absolutely enthralled from the first page🙌
Sebastian is the “Man of New York”, head of the Mob and has a reputation for being ruthless and getting what he wants. He has a project but for some reason it appears to have slowed in progress. Catching sight of a stunning woman in a gold dress, he approaches after learning she is the cause of holding up his project. Sebastian is impressed but also captivated by this woman who says no to him but also turns her back and walks out on him😳
Maddison has had a difficult life but she’s finally in New York and fulfilling a dream of hers to own an art gallery and showcase up and coming artists. However, her neighbour is causing problems with the renovating they are doing plus the continued offers to buy her out. When Sebastian approaches her at a nightclub, she doesn’t know who he is other than the buyer. Little does she know this interaction will change her life❤️🩹

Duel pov book, enemies to lovers mafia romance. Persuasive hero. It also has abusive dads in the book.
The book could read this as a standalone, but I'd recommend reading Leaving Home.
(Boston Billionaires #3) by Samantha's Skye before starting this book. One would get a clearer picture, quickly allowing things to fall into place. This book kept me super engrossed. As soon as I began reading, I found it extremely difficult to put it down. I managed to finish this book in less than 24 hours.
My Legacy by Samantha Skye revolves around Sebastian Romano and Maddison. Sebastian is the soon-to-be head of the new york mob once his father is dead. His mission is to protect his run-away sister from his father's evil clutches and the marriage he arranged for her. Sebastian occasionally entertains the idea of killing his father to keep his sister safe. However, he kills his father when he kidnaps his sister Frankie.
Sebastian meets Maddison at his club, where they find themselves attracted to each other. Maddison owns an art gallery next to his bar. Sebastian wants to buy the art gallery to expand his bar. Maddison refuses to sell it to Sebastian. However, Sebastian doesn't give up and pursues her. They slowly fall in love.
The writing was smooth, and the words flowed easily into beautiful sentences. All the book characters' personalities were wonderfully fleshed out. However, Maddison is my favourite character from all of these.
My favourite scene was when Maddison played down on the floor to look at the paintings put up in her art gallery for display. Sebastian walked in, and a lovely scene unfurled right before me.
I'd give this book a full five stars. It was worth reading this book. I was a bit disappointed after reading leaving home, but this book lived up to my expectations.

Samantha did it again. I loved both characters so much. Maddison, who Sebastian constantly calls her Goldie (and I absolutely adore it), is fierce, smart, independent, a survivor, and gorgeous. Sebastian, the boss of NY, is clever, powerful, gets whatever he wants, loves his loyal people, and is sexy as hell.
I enjoyed so much in this mafia romance the little war Maddison and Sabastian had going on. She is the perfect match for him.

This was such a great read I was hooked within the first few pages omg Sebastian is it die for, Goldie and Sebastian the writer has this chemistry off the charts could not put it down. Loved this book
