Lucy How could I have been so naive? This isn’t Andrew—my shitty boyfriend. This is Rax—my apparent stalker. I knew something was wrong, but the amnesia and my need for undying love blinded me. And look where that got me: chained in a white room with nothing but a bed and a toilet. There has to be a way out that doesn’t involve my sanity fleeing my already damaged mind. But the longer I am here, the more appealing that sounds.
Rax My Lucy… This is not how things were supposed to go. The plan has gone to Hell, and now, I have to watch her fade further from me. No, I won’t let that happen. My Precious Girl is stronger than that; she will learn and grow, and one day, she will match my insanity and love me for who I truly am. And what a pair we will be, a psychotic duet unlike any other.
This book has alot of content warnings. Please sample the authors note to see what they may contain.
Let me preface this by saying "this is very much a case of you can't please everyone all of the time."
On the one hand, there was so much to like about this novella; the writing was good and Rose delivered in terms of action, angst, character development, chemistry, dark themes, intrigue, sexual tension and steam. On the other; Rax and Lucy's story almost feels unfinished (to me) and I missed the level of detail Rose gave us in book one especially pertaining to their relationship.
I can see how this sounds contradictory so I will try and explain... I was wholly captivated in this novella right up until chapter 13 and the first time jump. Something shifted irrevocably within Lucy in that month that had her embracing her darker urges and as much as I could guess at what it was, I really wanted to see it play out between the pages because, quite frankly, Lucy made for a very interesting FMC. If that makes me greedy, so be it.
Ultimately, I've rounded up to 4 stars because I am looking forward to reading more from this author in the future and cannot wait to see our psychotic duo make some much anticipated cameos along the way.
This is the second book in the A Psychotic Duet following Rax. First and foremost please check the trigger warnings. This book is dark and gritty mixed with psychotic twists. This is the conclusion to Lucy and Rax’s story and I’m sorry to see it end. I fell in love with this couple. Lucy picks up where Rax left off, locked away, things not going as planned but Rax is determined to make her fall in love with him. Such a great story, full of steam, banter, revenge, power, tension and so much more. Can’t wait to read what’s next!
Lucy is book #2 in the A Psychotic duet. This is a dark romance. Make sure to check the trigger warning.
I'm kinda sad that Lucy and Raxs story is over.
I don't wanna give anything away about this story, you just need to read it!! Rax loves Lucy so much, Lucy embraces the darkness and Aidyn gave them a perfect ending!!!
If you haven't started this duet yet, go do it now!!!!
Lucy is book 2 in A Psychotic duet. It is a dark romance, with many triggers. Rax is, as always, a LITTLE psycho. But this book focusses more on Lucy, her struggles and ultimately her taking back of her power. There are so many crazy twists and turns in this story. It’s exciting and psychotic and crazy, all in the best of ways. Lucy is a thrilling ride and keeps you reading to the very end! This is a must read duet for dark romance readers!
This is book two in the series, so you should definitely read Rax first.
Aidyn Rose definitely does have a way with words.
Lucy is being held captive here until she falls back in love with Rax. There definitely is a difference in Lucy's personality and feelings towards what is happening to her between book one and book two.
definitely read the triggers for this book and the first.
Lucy is the conclusion of Rax and Lucy story. Both are crazy but together they are perfect. Watching Lucy get her freedom and power back after everything she goes through is incredible. But also, Rax never stop loving her in his own way. To see them work and grow together was worth everything. This duet is fantastic. Both characters are great and a little crazy. Aidyn Rose does a magnificent job with this duet. She brings us along through all their twisted ups and downs. I love this duet and I hope you give it a try.
If you like your books short and oh so dark then this is the book for you. A quick read that is full of angst, heat, drama and darkness. Lucy and Rax's story concludes in spectacular fashion.
Just when you think you couldn't be surprised by a book you get hit with surprise after surprise! I loved Rax and how he was crazy and psycho! But Lucy... holy wow! Did Rax turn her crazy or was she already?!?!? Lucy is a crazy, psycho, and just wonderful book! Lots of triggers so be cautious! Love the characters and loved the story!
Aces! This book dove deeper into the relationship between Raz and Lucy. Watching her grow into her darkness was tragically beautiful. A spectacular masterpiece of wickedness. Raz knew her innocence called to him for a reason. Lucy's inner demons are finally realized and unleashed with training from her personal psycho.
Lucy and Rax. The perfect psychotic couple. Lucy takes back power in this one. Lots of violence and spice in this conclusion. So dark and great fun to read.
I loved this book. I’m sad that Rax and Lucy’s story is over for now. They might be back. You can see them pop up in more of Aidyn’s books. This duet is for all the dark book lovers out there. I love Rax and all of his Psychoness. I like Lucy because even though she’s mad at Rax she’s still turned on by him. I like stories where the character only takes out bad people. Rax is one such character. Rax has Lucy chained in a room. He wants her to forgive him for what he did. He wants her to love him again. Will Lucy finally give Rax a chance? Or will Lucy go crazy locked up? Read the book to find out. Check trigger warnings before reading this book.
This book is depraved in the best way! I felt every touch, every laugh, every fear, and every delicious punishment. I love Lucy's character development and I personally love who she becomes. I read this in less than 3 hours and got lost in it too many times to count. Well done on an amazing read!
Loved it!! There was a bit of suspense, some crazy times and delicious steam! Lucy and Rax were the perfect, yet psycho pair!! I really loved Rax, while he might have been cray, cray...i believe he truly loved Lucy. I also loved seeing Lucy evolve into the women she is. I thought this was a fantastic conclusion to this duet!!
4.5 Lucy picks up where Rax left off. She is being held captive until Rax can get her to fall in love with again. She has time to stew over all that has happened. One thing on her mind is Revenge.
This is a fantastic conclusion to Lucy and Rax's story. There is so much great development and growth. This thrilling read kept me hooked. Lucy and Rax are crazy and likable characters.
As I was reading Lucy I was thinking to myself that I didn’t feel as connected to her. I know she has gone through a lot of things between the first book and this book but it was as if she was a different person. She loved what was occurring throughout the first book, even if she didn’t realize who it was she was with, but in this one she seems colder and just plain mean at times. Again, I understand what it is she went through. I would have liked to see a tiny bit more action in this one. It was an excellent storyline and I absolutely love Rax. My only issue with him in this one is that he seemed to a lot less psychotic and I absolutely loved that about him in the first one. It is definitely an amazing story and it definitely pulls you in. I throughly enjoyed the ending and was kind of hoping for more. It has so much drama that it makes up completely for the action. The little action there was though was outstanding. This is definitely a must read and honestly it really doesn’t disappoint as the way it was written.
While I haven't read the first book in the psychotic duets I have to say I was very impressed with the second book "Lucy". While I will suggest you read the trigger warnings before going ahead with this book as some of the topics may be bothersome. I really hope we get to read more about Lucy and rax and their twisted relationship
Yes!!! Lucy is a bad ass loved this! Even though it was shorter then I would have liked it was still so good!! Great duet !!!! Love it so much . I wish there was more!! So dark and disturbing I love it
Killed it! See what I did there? This book was amazing. I really felt for Lucy and Rax both. I enjoyed watching Lucy take some of her power back, but I really loved that Rax let her...to a point. The only complaint I have is that it's over. Well done!
Aidyn rose written such Amazing books i loved her book lucy . I love following lucy in her journey…. I highly recommed that people read her book lucy … it’s such good book and you Will not regret giving this book a chance by Reading it…
Here was me thinking Rax was my Beau, then Lucy came into her own and I was smitten <3
Heed the trigger warnings this isn't light and fluffy and wont be to everyone's tastes. But if you like your romance with a hefty helping of dark. Your main characters on the psychotic side and more twists and turns than a theme park this is absolutely the duet for you.
Focusing much more on Lucy (as you might expect) I really loved seeing her find her darkness, embrace it and then unleash holy hell with it. Its quite the ride and some bits were unexpected but very much appreciated. But best of all, some people get exactly what they deserve
Lucy picks up on the complicated relationship of Rax and Lucy. Rax is determined to get Lucy to fall in love with him again and he is willing to do anything to make that happen…even hold her captive. It isn’t called a “Psychotic Duet” for nothing! But all Lucy can think of is revenge. Will they be able to overcome everything that they have to deal with or will their craziness be the end?
This was an amazing read! I couldn’t put it down and ended up finishing it rather than sleeping! This one will definitely be a re-read for me.
A delicious dark read we have here. Lucy with being stalked and kidnapped and thrown in a small room with a chain. She’s kinda been threw a lot and well she is not the naive dancer she once was. A darkness has awakened in her that even her psycho Rax was surprised at. He teachers her so many things about his trade and she plays with his mind. This duet was freaking awesome !
I love how Lucy finally decided to make a stand and better herself. Girl power right!? I was so ready to see Lucy get revenge on that jerk Andrew and his mistress, but nooooo the book ends without getting that satisfaction! This book had a lot of potential, but the ending felt rushed and Rax went from being a sexy stalker to whipped man baby….ugh
