Two Lonely people, just trying to get through life, one day at a time... Blake Williams knows what it's like to lose someone. Picking up the pieces isn't easy, it's impossible. He never wants to go through it again. Thankfully he has created a full life taking care of his children. Carla's existence isn't anything to write home about. Stuck in a downhill relationship with an increasingly abusive boyfriend, she sees little to look forward to. Life is rushing past her and taking her dreams with it. When the two meet several times accidentally, it soon becomes apparent that there is more than casual interest developing between them. The couple aren't the only ones who notice. Carla's unstable boyfriend isn't going to let her go easily. The biggest obstacles however, are Blake and Carla themselves. Can they overcome their separate fears? Or will they remain trapped in their own private prisons?
