This is book three in the series and must be read in order. This contains spoilers for books one and two, so if you haven't read them, turn back now!
Aly has been taken and the guys need to get her back before they lose it completely. Nicoli, Jeremy, Jay, Kiran and Ajax are lost without their mate and will do anything to get her back. Once they do, they'll do anything to keep her safe from those who took her.
*This is a medium burn, paranormal, reverse harem, meaning she doesn’t have to choose and book three of four in the series. The story changes POVs between the main character and her men. The steaminess factor will go up as the series goes on and is intended for 17+. This is 45,000 words and ends on a cliff hanger*
My biggest issue for this book was the one I had for the series. There was no need to make this a series. Everything could have been wrapped up in one average size book. This paranormal story was an okay storyline and even the characters were interesting, but some of it could have been condensed down into a more streamline story.
The writing is just not good. I was hoping over the series it would get better. It did not. I rolled my eyes so many times at this book. It was just so OTT.
I really tried to get into this series. It had such a great reviews and I think it does have a good plot. I’m sorry to say this, but it’s really the writing style of the author I couldn’t get past. I read a lot. I have a lot of different authors writing styles that I enjoy. But it’s very hard to fall into the story and get lost in a different world of the author’s making. Sometimes it was due to errors in the book. For instance, she said to Nic and Kiran were her mates. But it was really Nic and Jeremy that sealed the mating bond first. Another thing that bothered me was that she went to her parents to ask them about hunter’s mating. Her parents denied that it was possible. however, Nikolai found a book that talks about the hunters mating mark. Then the author takes us down a different dangerous road to find another book that talks about mating bonds. She fought so hard to talk to her parents and after two minutes of asking one or two questions she gives up and says forget it. why not ask about the hunters mark? Why not show them a hunter mark on your mates? Her parents obviously love her. They might not have the best relationship. But why not ask any questions about how do use your hunter powers? Why ask everyone but them? Anyway, I’m just frustrated with the author. She keeps talking about the same things over and over, like how all of them want to protect her and put her in a bubble to keep her safe. We get that now move on. So that’s why I basically decided not to continue with the series.
The third completed in the Brickstone University! The plot is starting to get a bit borderline ridiculous but I’m still loving it for the most part. We get even more spice in this addition to the series, and a few small group scenes. I’m still waiting for the complete group scene(which I’m hoping will be in the finale) because I am trying to math the logic of how that’ll work. 😂 It’s giving predictable vibes but I don’t hate it. Onto the finale!
This is my favorite one in the series so far. Sometimes the dialogue to each other doesn’t seem like how someone would actually talk. I do like how the supernatural world is being built more.
I give this a 3.5/5. Developing the storyline more this book is what gives it a higher rating.
There were too many plot holes in this book. The writing isn't improving as well as the characters. I think the books are more about the poly relationship than anything else and that's why the story is lacking.
Okay this book was crazy. Her parents kidnapped her and drugged her, trying to convince her mates bonds didn’t exist for hunters. An elder hunter sentences her to death, and her parents fight against the other hunters to help her, all of her mates and their families show up to help. Aly completes the mate bond with the twins. She had teleportation abilities that she masters. Bailey is her familiar which is rare. They find a book about mates of mixed species, but it’s been tampered with. So they go see this old vampire and he plans to kill all the hunters. He found his mate who was a hunter, he snapped her neck, which wouldn’t normally kill a hunter, and found out that mates can kill each other. Now he plans to kill Aly and all the hunters. The first plot twist is the vampire is Ryan, Anna’s boyfriend. They get back to her apartment after Aly came and saved them only to find Anna dead. Second plot twist, she was turned into a vampire and is draining Aly dry!

Not as much action with all the sad characters. Getting more into what could be the correct ending or not, to the story. At the end of Book 3, everyone finds the reason for Ryan's role, yeah the Ryan as in Anna's semi boyfriend. He ain't the nice guy at all. More like the smoking gun on the mantle. Book 3, the supernatural parents are involved VS the Hunters. If the Hunters don't mate, how do they make little Hunters? That is the big question. If inter species supernaturals isn't a thing for mating, Aly, Nic, Jeremy, Jay, Kieran and Jax, are determined to prove this can happen peacefully so everyone can live happily ever after, Kumbai.
Break is the third book in the Brickstone University series and it is the best of the three reads so far. Writing has improved but still low on descriptions - they go to a library to find a book and nothing is described about the building, the people within. It is very much about the six main characters doing it and being in love. There's some personalities to each character but they're very flat and cliché. The storyline is obvious and doesn't surprise you much. If you like reading smut and are not fussed about character development, detailed scenes and action then this book is for you.

These books are amazing! I wish they were longer!!!!
Yay for Ajax! I am so happy for him and his mate bond scene! It was so perfect 😍
Again this book leaves you at a cliffhanger… ugh! I love it though.
The character development is exceptional for these books being so short. I’m pleased with the writing as there is not an abundance of sex and a great storyline that streams effortlessly through the series!
This is okay, but I feel like making this into a multiple book series is really stretching plot details that could have gone to maybe two books max. A few things happen that are interesting, but there is a lot of repetitive filler, including the sex. The premise is still interesting, but I find myself skimming, especially the sex scenes. They lack an emotional connection for me and are just ho hum.
Aly & her guys just can’t catch a break!! But I knew I was right about Aly!! I started feeling it at the end of book 2!! No spoilers I promise you’ll have to read it!! But seriously I laughed & cried through this one! And I just keep falling more in the love with them all!! And let’s not forget about the spice!! 🖤🌶🔥
On one hand, I really liked what this series was setting up, but on the other hand, I feel like we’re just getting a little too predictable. I wish there was a bit more going on. We’re dealing with the same issues, and there’s little movement. However, the book is under 200 pages, so the series is a bit fast and easy to read.
This series has been great so far. I am so invested in the story and the Characters. I love how the families of all the MCs are coming together with the slight exception of Aly's parents but I believe they will come around soon enough. I really can't wait to see how this series ends.
Book three was so exciting! This book brought in action while still hitting you in all the feels with the sweetness. Mixed with the sweetness is a lot of spice 🥵🥵🥵 Such a good series. Can’t wait for book four!
This series. Oh my goodness. I can’t get enough of this series!!! The supernaturals and the mates and the drama all in this little book. Although know this author is skilled at cliffhangers lol. Counting the days till the next one is out!
For a quick read. This supernatural series is a unique and interesting find. Now I have to wait a little over a month to finish but so books 1-3 have been great. Can't wait to see how she finishes the series.
Okay, this series isn't for me. This book in particular jumped from large plot point to large plot point with barely any depth or stability. The premise remains interesting, but I'm throwing in the towel. A shame.
This author just has a way that keeps your attention. I couldn't put it down. Anf she has some cliffhanger endings. I'm gladbi found this series when several books were completed or I might have gone insane. Lol
I adore this series and its characters. So much fun and each member of the harem is completely unique. The later books do turn into a bit of a smutt fest with outside world interaction ratio but I get it. The plot in every single book is amazing.
Honestly when I started this series I thought it would be a fun quick easy no big deal series, but the world just keeps getting bigger! Aly and her men are just adorable as they grow together as a pack!
dnf 84% the writing got so so much worse with the heavier plot they’re trying to push. It feels like this book should be for a younger crowd but there is also a ton of 18+ chapters. I had high hopes for this series from book one but everything is rushed and written poorly.
I'm taking a break from this series (if I'm ever gonna finish it..) The plot has so many holes and isn't interesting. Combined with spice, that isn't even good and a boring writing style. I just listened to it and still it couldn't hold my attention.
Really good read. My only complaint was it wasn't long enough. I like the characters and how the relationships are progressing organically. Looking forward to more from this author.
