Broihier is a retired Marine and award-winning rural journalist and editor. Broihier and his wife Lynn, also a retired Marine, have recently traded in their farm of 16-years for life on the road as fulltime travelers and writers.
Broihier’s next novel, Call me, Mac, the second book in the McGuire Mystery series, will be available in the fall of 2022.
Broihier’s third novel, The Nicest People You’ll Ever Meet, a contemporary Southern Gothic, will be available in 2023.

US Marine veteran ensnared in terrific UK boating crime mystery
As the bodies stack up along England's peaceful Oxford Canal, Marine veteran Mac McGuire is entangled as he tries to rebuild his life after tragic tours in Afghanistan and Iraq. This is an engaging crime mystery for readers who are also boaters or simply love the live-aboard life of a narrowboat along UK canals. Mac resists most friendships and especially a young reporter named Lily who is not what she seems. Mac's stubbornness tightens the circle of suspects around himself. The author is an expert on military life, boating, marine cooking and delivering threats and consequences in every chapter. Looks like the debut of a series. I can't wait!

Loved this book! Good sense of humor, a mystery and suspense all intertwined. BTW, the author is my brother…full disclosure!
