Wilde Tower is Manhattan’s most private address—and home to a powerful fae court.
When nursing student Mia stumbles upon a hurt stray dog, she can’t walk on by…luckily she’s close to the underground clinic where she heals the city’s worst criminals. But for all the crazy things she’s seen there, she’s left speechless when the dog shifts into a gorgeous, cursed fae warrior.
Arrogant and possessive—and grateful to no longer have fur—Talon realizes the kind-hearted human who saved him has no idea that her employers are actually powerful fae from a rival court to his own. If his enemies discover Mia helped Talon, they’ll come for her. With knives. So Talon takes Mia to the one place she’ll be safe: Wilde Tower, the hidden headquarters of the New Court.
But Mia isn’t ready to be locked away in luxury by a psycho claiming he’s a fae warrior—even if he rocks her carefully controlled life in the most delicious ways and makes her question the stability she thought she wanted.
Maybe it’s time to get wilde.
WILDE THINGS is a prequel novella to the forthcoming FAE OF MANHATTAN series, perfect for fans of Sarah Maas and Elise Kova who love their romance with a hint of darkness and spark of danger.
It's possible I was born in the wrong time. I've always been drawn to the past, the future, other worlds—basically anywhere but the here and now. I write fantasy to satisfy my nagging curiosity that there is more out there, just beyond the veil.
Until I find a portal through a magical armoire, I'll continue writing romantic fantasies with a touch of darkness and hint of magic.
I'm the author of fantasy romance sagas include The Godkissed Bride series and The Castles of the Eyrie series.
This was cute even though I found the FMC kinda dumb. If someone tells you that if you leave the tower you'll be hunted down and killed, you dont immediately leave said tower and act all surprised when bad things happen. 🤦🏼♀️
So this was a quick read. Of course ended with a cliffhanger. But what can I say I'm no writter. But I feel like these stories need more detail. I don't know I also feel so underwhelmed after reading these types of series.
A steamy alpha hunk short read. For a teaser novella, it worked. The writing is well done and the storyline kept me reading. It left me wanting more plot development, but that would have turned it into a novel. I have high hopes for the novel series because the author is clearly capable of developing a story that keeps me turning pages past the witching hour of sleep time. - I received an advance review copy for free, and I am leaving this review voluntarily.
I liked the writing style. I loved the use of a dog and a kind-hearted main character. I must confess I´m sure to buy anything with animals and pets in it. This "dog" was not depicted as a shifter, it was truly a real dog while it was on scene. And its reactions were well explained when Talon talked about his past. I agree with other reviewers: this book was too short! I want to read the next one!
This is a teaser novella to introduce the author’s Wilde City ebook (in Kindle Vella). We are briefly introduced to the world through Talon and Mia. Talon is a Fae guard who is turned into a dog and then injured and Mia is a nursing student with a soft spot for hurt animals. Unfortunately, Mia helping Talon puts her in danger (rival gangs, sortof) and when Talon takes Mia back to his place to protect her sparks fly. Good chemistry between these too and a good quick prequel for Wilde City.
Cute novella. I liked the extreme alpha male of Talon. I felt like a lot happened really quickly and there wasn’t a lot of real conflict and resolution. Also was a little lacking on character development. I would have liked a longer book with these.
Great intro into author's vella episodes. She does a great job telling the personality of each character. Recommend to any who are into paranormal genre.
I received a complimentary copy and am giving my honest review. Definitely a start to a series and has me curious. It is a quick read that is a little steamy with the promise of more.
