The Interscholastic Auradon Fashion Contest is the biggest fashion event of the year and students across the United States of Auradon are buzzing with anticipation. No one is more excited than Evie, the Villain Kids' (VKs) resident fashionista and designer extraordinaire! The other VKs roll up their sleeves to help their friend, but with another Auradon student competing for the top prize alongside her, will Evie be able to reach the top spot? And just how far are the other competitors prepared to go to win first place?
Evie has always been my favorite character and obviously as soon as I saw this manga, I knew that I wanted to read it. I loved the plot, the way Evie grows page after page and the sweetness that always comes with a Disney story. This manga is full of color, fun and love. I’m looking forward to keep reading more of this.
(ARC | GIFTED). Unfortunately this just wasn’t to my taste so I did DNF it. Comics and graphic novels are a new genre to myself so I wanted to try this, especially Disney based, but it just want my cuppa. The graphics and writing were good and I’m certain those that enjoy this style would adore this!
I loved the continuation of Evie's adventure! The design contest continues and Mia is the heavyweight and wants to win at all costs. What I liked most about this book was that the way Evie does not give up and even after all supports Mia. It's worth it!
Evie’s Wicked Runway Book 2 Evie’s next challenge to turn the main course of something from Belle’s first dinner at the castle into an accessory, but nothing she’s making it coming out right. Except the cheese souffle (which is at least authentic-Ben got her the recipe-). Evie has the idea to turn the souffle into a clutch.
Mia finds out that Chad has been sabotaging Evie’s dishes, but unknowingly by switching the ingrediants, he’s ruined her dessert as well. She tells him from now on out she doesn’t need his help and she’s going to play fair. She apologizes to Evie (whose not sure if she’s sincere or if it’s a trick). Evie starts to ask Mia what she has against her but Jane interrupts and says it’s almost time to present. Doug tells her she did the right thing by hearing Mia out, but Mal doesn’t feel like she should get to choose when she decides to have a conscious.
Evie catches Dude about to ruin her design and kicks him out. Carlos puts him in the storage room and tells him he’ll be back and bring him a treat. But Chad opens the door and lures him out with dog treats. Dude then makes a mess of everyone’s creations. Carlos, Mal, Doug, and Jay find out Chad was behind it from watching the security tape but decide not to stress out Evie by telling her.
Stress starts to cause the contestants to quit one by one. Mia accuses Evie of sabotaging everyone’s creations. The judges give them 6 hours to redo them. Mia and Evie realize they won’t finish in time and thus will never know who won. So they offer to help each other. (Mia’s made a hat and is struggling with it). Evie wins the challenge and she and Mia go on to be the final contestants.
The last challenge is to make beauty from odd items in a treasure chest that other people have discarded as “junk”. Evie comes up with the idea to ask Jane if she’s just limited to using the items in the truck and if she can use some things in the AP storage and Jane gives her permission but says she has to tell Mia she can to (to) make it fair. Evie then overhears Chad and Mia. Mia tells Chad (again) that she doesn’t want anything to do with his cheating. He says a sure proof way she can win but she walks away and says she can win (or lose) on her own.
Evie tells her friends what she heard and they see they still think Mia is sketchy but they’re in this together. She thanks them but says if Mia isn’t accepting Chad’s help maybe she should do this challenge alone. She goes to Mia and invites her to come with her to the storage room. Mia is hesitant but accepts. (Oh, and the dress has to be a cotillion dress). In the storage room, Evie and Mia start to fight over one of the boxes. Then a box falls on Evie. But Mia (saves her?). Evie is surprised and Mia is offended that she’d think she was the kind of person that would let someone get hurt so she could win (Wellll… I wonder where she could have gotten that idea Mia?)
Mia walks out the room mad and saying she doesn’t have time for this. She needs to find beads for a sash. Evie finds (some beads?) but when Mia asks what she found she says nothing and says it’s getting late and she needs to get back. Mia and Evie have 2 hrs left. Evie sees Mia getting frustrated because her design isn’t working so she offers to help her (neglecting her own dress). Mia confesses she was jealous because before Evie came, she was the one everyone turned to with things about fashion. They hug and make up. Evie wins the contest. Mia congratulates her and they agree they had fun working on Mia’s dress and they could go on to make great designs together.
Dizzy writes Evie and she thanks her for the accessory and tells her she still doesn’t know what she’ll do with the prize money.
Rating: 6 I liked the food challenge. I thought they did some interesting things with this one. I liked Evie’s cheese souffle purse. I liked the guy’s cobb salad skirt (tho truthfully it was a lettuce skirt). Overall, I liked the fashion challenge plot of these two books and the illustrations were decent. I wasn’t disappointed at all by this purchase.

Continues where the last book leaves off Evie is preparing for the next challenge. Chad is still causing problems for the contestants and Evie and Mia are almost friendly rivals.. sometimes.. Honestly I liked this book better than the first one. Even Dude stars a major (for a scene) role in this one. This one seems to lead directly into Dizzy's New Fortune. 94/100
I love Descendants, but these aren’t my favorite Descendants stories. They don’t match up that great with the movies. I was confused about who the mean girl was in this book. Who is she the descendant of?!
so good. we need to see Evie Mia and Dizzy as a fashion trio. mal was okay she was a little more likable than in the movie and books. in the movies she is terrible and in the books, she is even more terrible. mal doesn't deserve Evie
I received a copy of this book for a fair and honest review. This follows as Evie's continues on her journal to get the top prize in a fashion contest with the help of some of her friends and fellow VKs. Nothing is ever easy when you are a villian kid. I love the pictures and panels. I enjoy this because I love the movies and this just adds to their world. I want to find more.
Note: I received a copy of this book through NetGalley for an honest review.
I love everything Disney and all the characters. I loved the movie this book is based on and was excited to read it. However, I didn't read the first book so I was a little confuse but overall I like it okay.
I'm living this new series, it's visually stunning and has a fantastic story. I loved Evie's character growth and seeing her make up with her rival. I'm definitely looking forward to future books in Auradon!
So cute. Book two of Evie’s fashion design contest and includes challenges two and three for an edible fashion accessory and a royal gown. Will Evie’s main rival, Mia, do the right thing and work on her own without the help of meddling Chad Charming?
Chad cheats and sabotages Evie's cooking in the contest. Dude takes a bite out of the fashion contest and the contestants are given a six hour extension to create their designs again. Mia and Evie help each other out in the end and Evie wins the contest.
