Stalked on Spring Break

Rate this book
She’s not going to Daytona Beach alone…

Riley

Spring Break is supposed to be fun. I should be letting my hair down and soaking up the sun, but I’m nervous and jumpy. I don’t know why, but I feel like someone is watching me…

Parker

She doesn’t remember me. I know she doesn’t. But she’s all I’ve thought about for two years. I went to prison for her, but now I’m out and find out my girl is going to Daytona Beach for Spring Break.

I can’t let her go alone, unprotected, so I follow her.

**4.7/5 stars**

In my opinion, one of the best Emma Bray novellas out there. Even with the simple plot, she managed to write something entertaining. After bumping into Riley, Parker is struck by how bright her smile is and for him, it's love at first sight. Following that first encounter, he starts stalking her for years and protects her from the shadows. When Riley goes on a Spring Break with her girl friends, she can't help but sense that someone is watching her...

Parker was definitely one of my favorite OTT, possessive and jealous heros in a novella, that I've read so far. He was so focused on Riley, was protective and besotted. He was ready to do anything for her and would never accept that she'd be with anyone else but him. This should be worrying, I know, but I couldn't help but love his devotion. Parker was pretty intense and only had eyes for Riley, he stalked her for many years before they finally officially met. Some of the stuff he did and said made me chuckle a little but you know, I had fun reading this. I love OTT characters but I'm also very difficult with them. Parker felt really balanced in his insanity. My man was a King, I stand by it.

If she's not going to be with me, she's not going to be with anyone. We'll both be fucking miserable. Is it a dick move? Yes, but the alternative is me murdering any man she hooks up with, so we'll both just have to sacrifice for the greater good.
-Parker

As for Riley, she was good and sweet and I thought she was perfect for Parker. She was naive and a bit oblivious to danger but overall, I liked her. I thought her reactions were somewhat realistic. She fell in love with a guy she barely knew, and got spooked when other sides of him got revealed. Stuff that made some of her trauma resurface. I appreciated that she had the presence of mind to distance herself when things became too much for her, but not long enough to really get annoying.

My fingers skim the hem of it and pull it up just enough to reveal the matching red thong she has on. I hiss in a breath when I see how it fits against her puffy little mound. I fall to my knees before her and pull her panties to the side so I can lick her from slit to clit.-Parker

We love an eager King 😏

I liked that the author took the time to have the main characters get to know each other more before they became really intimate. I often have an issue with instalove, where the characters skip steps, it makes them look so unrealistic and I just can't believe in their romance. Here, I thought the pacing, the romance, the OTT behavior were well done. I swooned a little and most of all, I had fun.

Would I recommend this novella? I would! To me, it felt balanced in every way. It had just the right amount of romance and over the top. I'd even go as far as to say it's re-read worthy, and I rarely say that for novellas.

**Note that I do not rate novellas and full-length books by the same standards**

swoony stalkiness!

I love these little romance nuggets from Emma Bray! They’re like a delicious little bon-bon of swoony romantic goodness. Even tho they’re short, she’s able to craft a story where you feel as if you get to know the characters and their emotional connection. The steam isn’t bad, either!

Safe. Hero’s past isn’t mentioned at all. Heroine is a virgin and gives the hero the gift of claiming all her firsts. No others (dude she was talking to at the beach doesn’t count), no cheating or abuse. HEA with epilogue and a toddler.

A cute stalker read.

Not my favorite of Emma Bray’s stalkers but still pretty good none the less. I enjoyed a lot of the writing in Parker’s POV. I probably highlighted way too much. Not a deal stalker romance for sure but I wish there was a tiny bit more actual crazy stalking. I’m sure that’s just a me thing.

I really liked this short stalker story. It was entertaining and enjoyable with a couple of exceptions. The characters were interesting and likable for the most part. Riley's "friends" were pretty cruddy through most of the story. They did redeem themselves and even stood up for Riley so that by the end of the story they were good friends. Parker had fallen for Riley as soon as he ran into her but didn't get to actually meet her before he went to prison for her. Parker was out now and was determined to keep looking out for Riley. Riley had decided to go with her friends to spend spring break at the beach. After an incident, while she was out with her friends, Riley and Parker finally met face to face. There was some drama and angst but it resolved well. I loved their happily ever after. I recommend reading this book.

Once I started reading, I couldn't stop until I was finished. Riley is a college student who was orphaned while still in high school. She believes that she has no one that cares about her. Her college roommate and some other girls talk Riley into going to Daytona Beach for Spring Break. Just as they are leaving, Riley gets the feeling that someone is watching her.
Parker has cared for Riley ever since she bumped into him one day while they were both walking and smiled at him. Parker has done everything he can to keep his 'little bird' safe without her knowledge. Parker doesn't know if Riley could ever accept him.
One night during the Spring Break vacation, Parker's identity becomes known to Riley and oh my, do the sparks fly between these two. Who doesn't love a hot, older man going all Alpha? Read to see if these two can make a life together or if their fears will keep them apart. Plenty of steamy bits and some over-aggressive maleness with some love and tenderness thrown in.
I voluntarily read and reviewed an advanced copy of this book. All thoughts and opinions are my own.

Intense, overprotective stalker, anyone?

If you raised your hand, you’re in for a treat when you meet Parker. He’s been stalking for years! Only his woman Riley, though.

My eyes grew wide at just how far Parker was willing to take his obsession to ensure Riley’s safety. I was definitely rooting for him but I kept wondering when the 💩 going to hit the fan. And boy did it! I then started wondering how in the world Parker was going to win Riley back, he was so far out of her good graces.

Parker perseveres. His obsession was over-the-top and he had a permanent growl for anyone daring to look at Riley, but boy, was he $exy-crazy in love with his woman. It was 🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥!

I received a complimentary copy of this book and I borrowed it in KU. This is my honest review.

Parker is a dark, lonely man who is obsessed with Riley, who gave him a kind passing gesture. Riley is a college student who is studious and sweet, innocent. After a chance meeting, Parker is obsessed with Riley and his protective instincts kick in. He even goes to jail protecting Riley and keeping her safe. Once Parker is out he goes back to looking out for Riley. When Spring break starts, Riley heads to Daytona for fun and sun with some girlfriends. Parker, meaning to stay in the shadows stalking her, has to step in to save Riley once again. Once they meet, they are inseparable and their relationships blossom. They go through rocky times, due to Riley’s traumatic past, but Parker’s persistence gets them through it and on to their HEA.

❤❤

Parker is intense from the beginning, keeping a constant eye on Riley, his little bird. Intervening when necessary, even to the extent of going to prison to protect her from an unknown danger.

Riley feels eyes on her constantly, causing the hairs on the back of her neck to tingle. She hesitantly agrees to go with her roommate and their friends on a Spring Break trip to Florida. Again she feels his eyes watching her. Riley's stalker turns to her guardian angel when the unthinkable happens, thus launching a steamy romance.

When Riley witnesses Parker fighting, she runs far away. But like all good romance novels, love wins in the end.

Parker is an interesting character. He is pretty much a bad boy, and love (lust) at first sight redeems him. However, his violent side comes out in protecting Riley, which landed him in prison. Now that he is free, he wants to find Riley again, thus the stalking starts. Riley has confidence issues. Her “friends” are not the best, but come through in the end. They finally meet face-to-face, with plenty of drama and lust.
Nice enough story, but not her best work. Characters are interesting. Fun read (or audio).

This was my first book from this author and I’m so glad I found her. She’s done an amazing job blending steamy obsessive stalker with sweet romance. You can’t help but fall in love with Parker, the older man obsessed with Riley. He will do anything to keep her safe even if it means prison time, which it did. Riley is young, innocent, and naive to some of the dangers in the world. She’s lucky to have Parker looking over her and protecting her. These two together are sweet and steamy and I loved their story.

I liked this one. I almost wanted it to be longer. I loved Parker and his slightly stalker obsession with Riley. From her side, I thought Riley was sweet with poor choice in friends. I think they just left her and she almost had a worst case scenario happen to her. I think it was a little scary for her after Parker revealed himself and his past but that was the only real drama in this one. Quick, fast read. . Good Story

It was a good quick read. I enjoy Emma's books. This couple was great for each other. He understood her being afraid of him but once he was able to explain why he got violent, she understood it was because he refused to let any man harm or speak ill of her. I love a man who respects his woman and will stand up for her. I've been in a violent relationship and this isn't one.

Riley and Parker

Not my favorite of Emma Bray's books. Only cause he gets obsessed after seeing her once on the street. She doesn't even remember her. But if you ignore that he's super protective, and she has a normal reaction to what she perceives unprovoked aggression.
As always with Emma's books their is a HEA.

Enjoyed this one

I really enjoyed the crazy relationship between Parker & Riley! You can’t go wrong with a man that is so sweet and protective, and a woman who is just so wonderful and deserves the world. This was a great fast read to pick up if you need your Emma Bray fix with the normal HEA.

Riley (h20) feels like someone is watching her, even when she goes with friend to Daytona Beach for Spring Break. Parker (H30) is obsessed with Emma, even going to prison rather than let her be attacked. He comes to her rescue again, this time with her knowledge, and things heat up between the two as they get to know one another. Hot and steamy stalker quickie with a little bit of angst.

This novella started off with Riley feeling like someone was watching her and kept going throughout the whole story. It was fast paced and featured a whirlwind romance that started off with a bang. I love how the story ended where they first joined as one.
