Can't believe it took me 5 books to realize that Charlie was a POC smh but damn the way Val came in to help him in the beginning like T_T This book was great. I literally did not realize Also, whoooooooooo puts a cliffhanger in the epilogue??? I'm boiling !!! I need the next book because Val, girl, don't disappoint me and become trademark sadgirl. GET YO MANS HONEY!!
I'm so so so00000 ready for the next one, but Hoopla won't let me 😔
No Quarter did not meet the usual standards set by the author. In my view, the characters are not convincing, i.e., an FBI agent with mental health problems, a doctor who is highly recognized in the psychiatric field who does not know the basics about profiling serial killers, or a team of agents that have dialogues resembling mother/father/child. The plot, however, is good and fast-paced, providing entertainment for the reader.
When you are investigating a series of murders in a small town targeting patient or ex patient of a particular Asylum. The lead investigator, Valerie has a soft heart for this situation especially she sees her sister who is also in an asylum too.
Their team carefully investigated all the possible suspects with the help of the main psychiatrist of the said hospital.
Just when they taught that they caught the killer and found out that the real killer was the doctor!
I really like mind games like this. It’s not boring and every turn of the pages you will expecting something.

The plot thickens, just when I start to think Valerie is getting it together I get bamboozled. Glad to have Will and Charlie back. Still not sure about the safety of Charlie's family. Gotta keep Jackson.

Really good story. It was thrilling and captivating. I like how the author constantly goes back to the personal inner struggles of each character. However, I knew who the bad guy was once he was introduced. Other than that this book was very worth reading. Onto the next one.
Valerie, Charlie & Will are trying to solve the murders of patients who have been treated at psychiatric facilities. With the episodes Valerie has been having lately she's afraid she will end up in one of these facilities like her mother & sister. This story has a great plot which will keep you turning pages until the end.
