This is an enjoyable anthology of horror short stories. Many of them feature monsters. Some are strange, some are creepy and scary.
Amongst these, I would like to mention two: I feel that “The Sin-eater” is quite sad. The atmosphere and tone are established quite well. There is a certain humour to “Graveyard Shift” and I find it delightful.
I've always loved these Scare Street anthologies. Great horror themed short stories. My favorites were "Going for a Walk" by Ron Ripley and "Scarecrow" by A.I. Nassar. It's been awhile since I've read a story about a banshee and that was refreshing. With "Scarecrow", I got a good vigilante story. This is book 4 in the collection. I can't wait to read the others!
I had never read anything from Scare Street before and wasn't sure what to expect. A pretty good collection with some that I enjoyed more than others. I liked the overall focus on types of scary creatures that you don't see as often in horror writing.
I didn't dislike or overly like this book. It was a good little compilation of shorts that had a little bit of spooky ambience to them. They weren't overly graphic and They weren't overly long. It was a cool quick read for October.
Not Horror at all, but definitely right for Spooky Season! Short stories that kept you turning pages. Most have them had sneaky twists that did not disappoint!
