“She’s always been able to see right through me…”

Very short but fun story Micah and Harvey are both characters we’ve seen before in past books. Something I finally figured out is that all of the people in Georgia’s books all exist in the same world and she’s not shy about showing it, like the reference to Naked Heat. I love it because even though it isn’t necessary to have read any of her prior books, they are all completely standalone, if you have read them then these references are like fun little Easter Eggs!

Harvey, who’s way hotter than his name suggests, and Micah are both great and clearly made for each other. We don’t get a lot about their backgrounds, the book is only 65 pages long, and while it’s only natural to want to know more with two such wonderful characters, their story isn’t really complicated and it felt complete. I’m confident they will have a very full and happy life together. Plus, I’m sure they will both show up eventually in future books so we’ll get to catch up with them that way. All in all an enjoyable way to spend an hour or so.

Please note that the low rating is partly due to the fact that I decided to dive right into this book based on its synopsis and did not read the other books in the series prior to this, so I have no context for all the other characters or their storyline, and this is my first time meeting these characters.

Also, I generally don't pick up novellas because I have often found out the hard way that I end up finding most of them interesting and then crave more story or a full-fledged novel on the MCs. Also, add to the fact that in that short span, it is difficult to connect with the characters much, which makes it harder to feel the story.

For me, personally, I feel there was a mix of the above things that made this a bit less exciting. But given the fact that I dove into this novella solely based on the blurb, this book could have done wonders for me in another universe.

I highly urge readers to read the other books in the series to get more context of the storyline and characters also they aren't blind diving into the novella.

In this quick read we have Harvey who is auctioning himself off as a favor to a friend and for charity. He absolutely hates this, but goes with the flow until he comes face to face with the person who bought him. Micah is his ex that left him years ago and the pain from her walking away never left him, but now she’s back and has bought him for a date. The animosity rolls off Harvey while Micah tries to explain why she left like she did. Will all his questions be answered, will it make a difference between them, or will Harvey walk away afraid of being hurt again? This story was cute and fun while it packed quite a bit of emotions leaving you wanting more from these two.

I listened to this audiobook on the Read Me Romance podcast. What fun but over too quick. The ebook version has an extended epilogue and two additional chapters. While I enjoyed this version and love, love, love epilogues I probably won’t reread this book just for that.

I like the second chance trope and I like that this one was a bit different in that she left and has to win back his trust. Overall this book was a fun listen.

Stuck with a Date is a super sweet novella about two people who loved each other, but were at different points in their lives. When Harvey gets conned into doing a bachelor auction, he fears who will win him. What he never expected was for the one woman that he loved to be that person. He's pissed off at her and doesn't want to have anything to do with Micah. Micah knows she hurt Harvey and she's about to do everything she can to show him how much she loves him. Can he forgive her for walking out on them? And will their love be strong enough to hold?

I'll start by admitting I don't like second chance romances - all that wasted time! This one though was coupled with a date auction which I do love and Harvey was dreamy! Overall this was a cute (and steamy!) story though I wasn't so fond of Micah but I can't deduct any stars for that as I really enjoy Georgia's writing. I haven't read any others in this series yet but I certainly will in the future.

A quick and steamy second chance love story between Harvey and Micah.Micah has always regretted leaving Harvey but six years ago she wasn’t ready for the life he wanted, now she is, therefore bids on him for a date to prove she has matured and is ready for a hea. If you want an enjoyable, no drama, no angst and a sexy read then pick this.
