As a nurse who started in the midst of a pandemic, I’m not sure I’ve ever had a day where at least the shadow of burnout hasn’t affected me. However, three years into this beautiful, empowering, and exhausting career I’ve been feeling the burnout and compassion fatigue more than ever. I knew it was time to change some things up & be intentional about focusing on some self care and energy rehab, and this was one of the first books I found to start that journey.
It was exactly what I needed. It felt like having a conversation with a friend over a cup of coffee. Olivia shared so many good nuggets of information and advice that any nurse could benefit from reading. She was funny, honest, and uplifting.
