MORGAN

When the flesh-eating space bugs invading Earth didn’t make it up my mountain, I thought it was luck. I spent a quiet winter safe in my cabin as society collapsed around me.

Turns out, a huge Xarc’n warrior has been stalking my land. Rhaz’k claims I’m “his,” but I belong to no one. His massive horns, fangs, and purple muscles turn my knees to jelly, but his cocky attitude is a hard pass.

When the deadly bugs start showing up around my home, the overprotective warrior tosses me over his shoulder and carries me to his shuttle. Who does this alien think he is? And why does he make my heart flutter?

RHAZ’K

Morgan calls me bossy, but her body scents of lust every time I’m near. I’ve been patient all season, giving her time to accept that she’s mine. But I can wait no longer. Not with hostile humans searching for her and the scourge mysteriously making it through my barricades.

The little human female is mine! She might scream at me now, but soon she’ll be screaming my name. Nothing will stop me from claiming my mate.

This post-apocalyptic alien romance is filled with action, adventure, and tons of steam. HEA guaranteed. Welcome to the bugpocalypse!

Back to the bugpocalypse!

The following ratings are out of 5:
Romance: 💙🖤💚❤️
Heat/Steam: 🔥🔥🔥🔥
Story/Plot: 📕📗📙📘
World building: 🌏🌍🌎🌍🌎
Character development: 😔🤨😛😁🥰

The heroine: Morgan - she lives on a mountain all alone and provides for herself by hunting and trapping. When the deadly alien bugs invaded the Earth, she thought she was lucky that they never came up on her mountain, until she found out that two Xarc’n warriors claimed her mountain as their area and protected it by killing all the bugs they could. Though one of them thought she was his since she was in his territory, and she even caught him outside her bedroom window watching her sleep more than once.

The Hero: Rhaz’k - he was a Xarc’n warrior, created to fight the scourge. The Xarc’n military created the scourge as a bioweapon, but lost control since the scourge lived only to multiply, consume and destroy. Though on Earth the Xarc’n hunters found something they hadn’t found on any of the other planets where they fought the scourge, compatible females. And Rhaz’k had found his in Morgan.

The Story: when Morgan’s ex-husband showed up at her house nearly dead and begging for food, she let him stay since she thought it might deter the huge Xarc’n warrior. However, her ex was using up all her food stores and Rhaz’k was demanding she tell her ex to move out. When some of the bugs started showing up on the mountain and the Xarc’n hunters couldn’t figure out how they were getting past their barriers, Morgan agreed to help Rhaz’k find all the tunnel openings on the mountain to see if the bugs were entering from the cave system.

I listened to the first Xarc’n series via audiobook a while ago and I really liked the storylines, so I decided to give this series a try as well. The world building in the first series was all that and a bag of chips and I ended up rating most of the books as 4 or 5 stars each. The character development is terrific, the romance is good and despite the fact that I hate bugs, I love the fact that these aliens are so tough they are the only ones in the galaxy that can fight these alien bugs.

Alien vs Earth Girl

What can I say, I'm a sucker for Alien and snarky Earth Girl Banter. The first several chapters had me laughing and giggling.

Plenty of heat and action, so for me this tale had it all. Plus, I had the pleasure of reading Perfect Writing. I couldn't ask for anything better.

So, after realizing I started the series out of order I'm going to Xarc'n Warriors book #1, and get the story from the beginning...

Excellent Read

I forgot to review this BUT….

I remember it being entertaining and super cute and sexy.

I have read Shioban's book before and loved to know what happend in the Mountains lodge! Its great to be able to read both sides os the war agsinst the scourge. Morgan and Rarzh'k book is very good. Morgan is a self sustaining woman and She moves her freedom but being on a relationship doesn't mean that She has to give that up. In the end of the world we all must work together if we want to survive. Rarzh'k is adorable, in a very savage Hunter kind of way, I love when he gives food to the cat. Another amazing Hunter's book.

OH HO! A new set of warriors protecting the mountains and I AM HERE FOR IT. To be fair, I'd already read Morgan's sister's book, so I was fully aware of these hunky purple guys doing their things in the mountainous regions, BUT STILL. I'm always ready for more Xarc'n/human action.

This time around we have Morgan, who was surviving admirably until her jerk-face ex showed up, and Rhaz'k, who VERY MUCH does not understand human women. For real. The guy is adorably clueless when it comes to wooing a lady. That said, he knows he likes riling Morgan up and he likes when she pushes back at him. So he does that. A LOT.

Fortunately for him, Morgan doesn't mind that sort of verbal foreplay. In fact, she might not think the big guy's actions means he likes her, but she's certainly not bored when he's around. And when she DOES figure out his poking and prodding is his way of flirting? WELL. Let's just say things take a sex-ay turn and leave it at that.

A handful of new warriors, some not-so-great humans, bugs, bugs, and more bugs (although not as many as there could have been), a sweet mountain lodge, a warrior who enjoys how his lady stands her ground, and a woman who is smart enough to know when she's found the guy who lights her fire. *thumbs up*

Xarc’n Warriors Mountains is a 4-book post apocalypse series written by Lynnea Lee. The books are set on Earth, after an alien invasion from space bugs, where the few human survivors are still fighting for survival daily. The invasive species, controlled by a “queen,” have built hives inside major cities, and killed (and ate) most humans. The space bugs (aka scourge) carry an infectious and deadly bacteria. Any human that became desperate enough (from starvation) to capture and eat a scourge, turned into a heavily contagious zombie that must be avoided at all cost. The scourge will stop at nothing to return the bacteria to its hive. The remaining humans have taken refuge outside the major cities. Some forming survivalist groups and cults that stand against the Xarc’n Warriors. The Xarc’n Warriors are aliens that have come to help Earth by ridding it of their scourge infestation. The Xarc’ns, being perfect clones specifically designed to fight the bugs, reside in territories around the world. This series follows the Xarc’n Warrior group that resides in the Rocky Mountains (at least the first book does, I will edit if not the case in presiding books).

Hunter’s Quest follows the Xarc’n Warrior Raz’k and his human mate Morgan. Morgan was lucky as she happened to be vacationing in her cabin on the mountain when the scourge first attacked, thus beginning the apocalypse. She’s been living there ever since, which happens to be in Raz’k territory (the one he is tasked to protect). Her cabin neighbor Sandy became her best friend. Sandy’s home was burned down by the raiders, so Sandy moved to the cliffs with her alien Xarc’n mate. Sandy introduced Morgan to Raz’k, and he’s been stalking (or watching out for) her ever since. Morgan allowed her ex-boyfriend Tristan to move into her cabin with her after he begged her for help. That turned out to be a HUGE mistake since he’s a lazy, entitled jack-ass who only wanted to use Morgan. We find out later that Tristan was kicked out of the local raiders group (this group has the reputation for stealing peoples food and weapons, even killing them for it) for being useless. He went to Morgan’s cabin not expecting her to be there. After she took him in, he helped as little as possible and stole her stored food until she kicked him out. After that, Tristan lead the raiders to her cabin so they could rob and kidnap her, leaving him the cabin for himself. Of course Raz’k saves Morgan from the raiders and moves her to “the ledge” (which is basically some rich person’s mansion that was built into the side of a cliff) with other humans and hunters for security and safety. Morgan only stayed in the cabin in case her sister ever returned, which she does at the end.

Raz’k knew that Morgan was his mate from the first time he saw her. It took a while for Morgan to come to the same conclusion, although it did happen eventually. I don’t remember much about the romantic scenes, which should say something by itself. Lol. I’m running out of good books to read, so I will probably continue this series regardless. The book doesn’t suck; it’s filled with adventure and a little romance. I just prefer my novels to be more on the HOTT side. I recommend reading, at least once, if you enjoy a wild ride.

Morgan thought she was safe on her mountain in the Rockies when the rest of the earth was being destroyed by the bugapocolypse. Turns out it just took them a little longer to get to the more remote areas, plus there are pair of Xarc’n warriors that have been keeping them from coming through the pass. For some reason this year the scuttlers are getting through and the warriors can’t figure out how.

Rhaz’k has been working with his partner to keep the scuttlers under control. When he first came to the area, he helped him evacuate a female that the raiders had targeted and burned down her cabin. As soon as Rhaz’k left his shuttle he was drawn toward her neighbor’s cabin. He could tell that the female living there was his mate. Unfortunately, Morgan caught him looking through her bedroom window and almost shot him. He has continued to protect her throughout the winter, not that she is ever glad to see him. She calls him mister bossy and she can take care of herself, thank you very much!

Unfortunately, her ex showed up this fall and conned her into letting him live with her because he had nowhere else to go. That doesn’t make her very happy, but she is too kind hearted to leave him outside to starve or get killed by the bugs. This also makes Rhaz’k very unhappy and he is hanging around even more trying to get her to kick her ex out or to come with him. Now she just has two men to drive her crazy instead of one.

When the warriors begin to suspect that the scuttlers may be getting through their blockade through the cave systems they need Morgan’s help because she is the only one that really knows much about the caves. Indeed, she and Rhaz’k discover several nests in the caves and spend a lot of days looking through the caves and mapping them so they can come back and destroy the nests.

Just as Morgan is falling for Rhaz’k and is willing to admit there might be something to this mate thing, her ex trades her to the Raiders so he can have the cabin all to himself. Can Rhaz’k get her out of the well defended compound without getting them both killed?

This is a great book and I love how feisty Morgan is and how the relationship between her and Rhaz’k develops. Best I don’t comment on what I think of Morgan’s ex!!

This is book 1 of a new series and it was brilliant and how all the characters that are connected in this new world. Morgan lives in the Rockie mountains in her cabin and is very independent and self sufficient gardener and considers herself lucky that the bugs had come up her mountain and that she was safe with her cat Reese’s pieces and now her ex Tristan turns up at her cabin and she feels sorry for him and lets him stay. Her friend Sandy who’s cabin got burnt down by raiders and all her food was taken but she was saved by Turr’k a xarc’n warrior. And that’s when she notices a grumpy Xarc’n warrior hanging around her home looking in her window and it’s creepy and she confronts him about it with her rifle in hand and he tells her that his name is Rhaz’k and to get rid of the male in her house she tells him no and to go away but he is never far away and protects her and her cat which he feeds down by the river every day. Now they must work together to stop the scourge from coming through the caves and the tunnels that they find are connected on there mountain and that’s how they where getting through there barrier’s and while working together they become close and Morgan realises that Rhaz’k the warrior isn’t a bad as she thought and it isn’t long before they share a sleeping mat together and he tells her she is his mate. Now the raiders have come for her after she kicked Tristan out they take all of her food in site and everything else they can get there hands on then they take her back to there cave and she knows that Rhaz’k will come for her. How does it all turn out after he saves his mate and the move to the ledge resort but the scourge have found them. Can the Xarc’n warriors save them all in time. To get these answers and so much more get this brilliant book. .

2.25 ⭐️

I glared at Reese’s Pieces as she slowly placed her paw on the long metal tool I’d just placed back on the table, and growled a warning. She glared right back, not taking her eyes off me, and gave the tool a shove.
The screwdriver clanged to the floor.
I huffed in frustration, and the feline sat there, daring me to repeat the process.
I picked up the tool and placed it back on the table with a growl of warning.
The feline didn’t look one bit cowed. She put her paw out and touched the screwdriver.
“Do not.”
But it was too late; the tool fell right back down with a naughty shove.

All right, so … I feel a bit conflicted about this one.

I think that the general idea behind this book is great. Deadly space bugs laying waste to one planet after another whilst being chased by cloned alien warriors whose only mission is to destroy this pest once and for all is an amazingly interesting premise. And it was honestly also a nice change of pace to have the aliens show up on earth instead of the other way around.

But as a whole, this novel just felt … off.

As I said, the lore is great – but not nearly fleshed out enough and also not explained super well. The pacing was a bit of a mess as well. I just feel like this read contained so many plot holes that I was left with a lot of questions – and not in the good omg-can’t-wait-for-the-sequel type of way but rather in a wtf-i-can’t-even-tell-you-what-happened-in-the-majority-of-this-book kind of way.

Ergo the rather low rating. I’m not giving up on this series just yet though. Like I said, I really liked the underlying world building, so I’ll definitely check out the next book in the hope that the writing will have improved – wouldn’t be the first time!

Purple but not people eaters

Morgan has her cabin in the mountains. It's what saved her when the bugs landed on Earth. She's learned to farm, can, dehydrate, and smoke food to survive. Which is how she wound up with her leech ex couch surfing and mooching off her. Now she has a bossy purple alien trying to tell her what to do, too. One annoying male is enough, thank you.

Spoilers ahead.
There is next to no backstory, some couples are already established, and the story just jumps on and goes. It's maybe 2 years (I don't think an actual time was mentioned) after one alien started invading and the purple guys landed shortly after to eradicate the scourge. The bugs were created as a bioweapon, then the Xarc'n as their control. Their own creators were wiped out by their creations, and now purple chases ugly throughout the galaxies trying to stop the spread. But, on Earth, Xarc'n have discovered human females are compatible and have decided to stay. Which raises so many questions. What will happen to the scourge as they take over other planets? Why start so far into the story? Why would Morgan and the hunters allow the raiders to stay on the mountain? And allowed Tristan to stay in the cabin? He could have done the same thing to Morgan's sister as he did to her. And leaving armed raiders to kidnap women and hold them hostage? Not cool. Why didn't they go back to rescue May? Or ask any of the other women if they might want to leave? And who lets a small cat wander the woods with hungry grizzlies, other large predators, and alien bugs, all that would happily eat it?? That part cheesed me off the most I think. The other was leaving armed enemies at your back. It just isn't smart.

Morgan is a strong, capable and determined woman. Much as she hates the bugs she is not giving her home up to them. She thought that being out in the Rockies might have deterred them enough but her run of luck is coming to an end. She is prepared to fight them but she is not, most definitely not, going to be told what to do by the huge purple Xarc'n warrior who keeps turning up. While she will accept that he is a tall drink of water there is just something about him that rubs her up the wrong way. For his part Rhaz'k is honest in that he knows Morgan is his mate. He just wants to keep her safe and has been making sure that she is by patrolling nearby. The thing is that somehow despite all his efforts the bugs are getting through and there are some humans around he is leery of.
I have to say that I was so happy when I found out that there was to be more Xarc'n warriors. I have loved all of these. Not less because each time the couple are different. The dynamics, the characters and the world-building is just fabulous. The relationships between the Xarc'n and their mates grows gradually and it is not usually an insta-love type. While the males may be quite growly and Alpha they still respect the choices that their females make. They might not agree with the decisions but they will abide by them or at least try very hard to so. No surprise that these books and this author is a favourite!

Morgan and Rhaz'k . . .

Morgan has always been independent, taking care of herself and surviving. When the flesh-eating bugs arrived, she felt safe in her mountain cabin as she was not “visited” by them. What she hadn’t realized is that a Xarc’n warrior had been taking care of her, keeping the bugs away and making sure she was safe. Rhaz’k had not approached her, allowing her to get used to him before he claims her as his own, which she stubbornly denies as soon as he indicates she belongs to him. Yet she feels the strong attraction to him. Despite her protests, he can scent that she wants him too. Having her good-for-nothing ex Travis come back to freeload off of her generosity is another source of annoyance to her.

With human raiders searching for her to steal and destroy everything, and with the bugs somehow getting through Rhaz’k’s protection, it is time to relocate Morgan to a safer place. When they work together to locate the source of the bugs, she can see they are good together. Will she allow him to claim her as his mate? Or will she still continue to try to fight him?

This is a spin-off series, but every bit as wonderful as its predecessor. The warriors are so protective and dependable. And the author provides little touches of kindness that make them even more perfect (speaking about his interaction with the cat). Grab your copy and get hooked on a very satisfying series.

Rhaz'k is a Xarc'n Hunter, cloned from one of the original 10,000 hunters created to fight the scourge. Rhaz'k has been assigned to a mountainous region but when he scents his mate he has even more to fight for.

Morgan learned to live off the land before the invasion and it has kept her and her cute cat Reece's Pieces alive.

When Rhaz'k first scented Morgan, he scared her as she caught him staring into her window watching her. They've spent the last several months circling each other, with Morgan doing a lot of snarling at the bossy alien.

Morgan loves to verbally spar with Rhaz'k even if she doesn't want to admit it. Once they started working together to track down scourge trying to nest in the surrounding caves, things began to change. Even as Morgan was dealing with her lazy bum ex and raiders.

It took a bit of time for Rhaz'k to win over the self-reliant Morgan, but he had her cat with his first food bribe. He'll work and fight by her side, trusting her strength and skills. It's his understanding of who she is at heart, as well as his hot sexiness that finally wins Morgan's heart.

A nice start for the Xarc'n Warrior spin off series Mountains.

RHAZ’K is a Xarc'n warrior who came to Earth to fight the scourge. He plans to hopefully find a mate and settle down on Earth. Upon arriving in the mountains of the west he follows an enticing scent to a cabin where Morgan a human woman lives. He knows she is meant to be his but she keeps pushing him away. However he will do whatever it takes to keep her safe especially after they discover scourge nests in the mountain caves. Together he and Morgan will work to keep their mountain safe.

Morgan is both attracted to Rhaz'k and repelled by his bossiness. He keeps treating her as a defenseless female and doesn't see her as the strong independant woman she really is. Their relationship got off to a bad start when he frightened her by creeping around her cabin and staring in her window. However their joint friends won't give up on them. They manipulate them into working together to save their mountain. The more time Morgan spends with Rhaz'k, the more she appreciates him especially compared to her lazy ex.

Earth is in the middle of a bugpocalypse. Humans are in the fight of their lives, literally, in a post-apocalyptic Earth that’s been ravaged by space bugs. 90% of the world’s population has been decimated. Fortunately, purple Xarc’n warriors also came from outer space to help humans fight the scourge of giant people-eating bugs. This is the backdrop for Morgan and Rhaz’k’s story.

Morgan had been holed up in a cabin in the Colorado Rockies for at least a year. She learned the hard way to be self-sufficient. Her cabin was in the territory Rhaz’k patrolled and protected. Rhaz’k knew for a while that she was his potential mate. It took quite a few battles with giant bugs and even some bad humans for Morgan to see it too. As always, the HEA was sweet. I think Reese’s Pieces, Morgan’s cat, stole the show in this story.

I really liked this survival/adventure story and the chemistry between Rhaz’k and Morgan. I highly recommend this entire series.

4 &1\2terrific 🌟s for the first book in the new spin off series Xarc'n warriors mountain addition💖

Morgan left the city before the bug apocalypse and moved to a cabin in th rocky mountains. She knows there are some hunters keeping her mountain safe as well as raiders pillaging and stealing anything they can. Morgan is very independent and self sufficient and she's hoping her sister is still alive and looking for her. Rhaz’k is a hunter who knows without a doubt that Morgan is his mate. But each time he gets close he irritated her and she gets 😠 angry. He loves his feisty she is and hard working but he wants nothing more than too take care of her. Then her dead beat ex shows how up and the bugs are building next in the caves in her mountain. Morgan and Rhaz’k work together to stop the bugs and along the way she realizes they make an excellent team. They begin too understand one another more and passion runs not between them. Great book highly recommend💖🔥💖🔥🔥💖🔥💖🔥💖🔥💖🔥💖🔥💖🔥💖🔥💖🔥💖🔥💖🔥💖🔥💖💖🔥💖🔥💖💖🔥🔥💖💖💖🔥💖🔥🔥💖🔥💖💖💖🔥🔥💖💖🔥💖🔥💖🔥💖🔥💖🔥💖🔥💖🔥💖🔥💖🔥🔥

Review:
🐰 A human female somewhat isolated on a mountain; gets involved with a stubborn alien male. For some unknown reason, allows a freeloading asshole to live with her. Her having a cat doesn't really impact the story in anyway. The overall story is boring. There are bugs that are infecting everything and it's up to them to stop it. Forgettable romance. Nothing original.
First Page Nibble:
🐰 I poked at the giant scuttler stuck in my trap, hoping it was exhausted enough not to fight back. The giant space bug sprang to life, crawling in place with its eight creepy legs and slashing at me with its toxin-edged front claws.
I backed away.
Damn! These creatures were ugly. For something that had evolved elsewhere in the galaxy, they sure reminded me a lot of mutant Earth bugs. They stank, too, like a dead rat soaked in rotten milk overnight and left out in the heat to ripen.

I absolutely loved reading this book. I love how the alien race is purple with horns and a differently shaped of "equipment." Morgan is a strong independent woman trying to survive in this post apocalyptic earth. She is so self reliant which is amazing. She lives off the land by growing her own food and trapping small game. The only problem is the huge killer space bugs thats invaded earth. RHAZ’K is a warrior whom was made to destroy these space bugs. He is a gentleman with lots of patience. He wants to claim Morgan but she is not having any of that. I love that you get both points of view. I also love that it shows how the wildlife is affected by this invasion and post apocalyptic world. There is action which i love and spice which i also love of course! Its a great balance of the two. I could not put this book down. . I received a free copy of this book and am voluntarily leaving a review.

While this book can be read as a stand-alone I highly recommend you read Xarc'n Warriors Book 8. Actually the whole Xarc'n series as there are characters from the previous series and book 8 sets up this new series. Love Reese's Pieces our little four-legged hero. The plot was definitely not what I expected and whenever I thought I figured out where it was going it would take an unexpected turn.

Loved how the plot mixed in plenty of characters/friends from previous books. This first book definitely has me anticipating the next book even more so than the original series. There is plenty of angst, plot twists, heat, and people you'd like to see get what they deserve.

While I read sci-fi "bugs" are not my thing. With that said this is really a great series and so glad I gave it a try. This is one of a couple series I grab the minute a book becomes is available

I liked the previous series of Xarc'n Warriors very much, so I was glad that I could read the story of the next characters. This time, the action takes us to mountain areas, where it is much harder to survive on our own. Morgan is a woman who has learned how to cope with difficult conditions. She was of the opinion that she did not need the alien alpha male to protect her, but at the same time was ready to join forces with him in the fight against the bug apocalypse. I liked the chemistry between the characters. The action was smooth. The only drawback is that nothing surprised me. It's a pity, because there were several situations where the tension could be expanded. Nevertheless, I am eager to reach for the next book to see how the further fate of Xarc'n Warriors from the mountains and their mates will go.

"Knowledge was key in this new bug-filled world, if I wanted to stay alive."

Morgan was managing to survive on her own in the bugpocolypse, at least she thought she was. Then an Alien came along informing her she was in the territory he protected, and gradually things she thought she saw so clearly started looking different.

Rhaz'k is drawn to Morgan at first sight, but the more he gets to know her, the more he respects her. She grows her own food. Sets her own traps. Makes her own preserves. Dehydrates a share of what comes from her garden so she'll have it during the winter. How can he make this independent woman understand just because she can do it doesn't mean she has to do it all?

This done in one Kindle Unlimited quick read is a great story about individuals, and some secondary characters who might qualify as loners, discovering the magic of being part of a healthy team.

Another great story of the Xarc'n warriors and finding their mates. Morgan has lived on the mountain with no problems with the bugs. She does have a huge purple Xarc'n warrior watching out for her. She thinks that Rhaz'k is all alpha and the bossiest alien she's ever met. Rhaz'k has found his mate in Morgan. He's also adopted her cat, Reeces Pieces. (Made me hungry) I loved that Morgan was a kickbutt, independent, smart and strong. Rhaz'k is over protective and loves rattling Morgan's chains. Rhaz'k and some other warrior's are busy killing the bugs that are starting to come out of the mountains. There is danger, fated mates, adventure, bugs, passion and love. The characters were amazing and their banter was fun. I loved the HEA and that her sister Siobhan found her. I hope we find a story that saves May from the cave. Great read. .

Is it irritation or love?

I kind of loved this story. It was entertaining and enjoyable. It even had some laughs. The characters were interesting and likable for the most part. Tristan was lame and he really needed some kind of comeuppance for his actions. Rhaz’k and Morgan were hilarious. The banter between them had me cracking up. Reese’s Pieces was an awesome addition to the story and the way that the warriors acted with her was super cute. Morgan and Rhaz’k were both independent. Rhaz’k wanted to protect Morgan and was bossy which got Morgan’s blood up and made her want to get away from him. It also caused other feelings that she was in denial about. They had great friends that were happy to work together. I loved their happily ever after although I wish there was another epilogue further out. I recommend reading this book.

Survive, adapt and thrive
In Hunter’s Quest (Xarc’n Warriors: Mountain Book 1) by Linnea Lee, Morgan is just as much a warrior as her Hunter, Raz’k. Living off the grid and preparing for survival even before the bugpocalypse, helps Morgan remain independent in her isolated cabin.
I enjoyed reading about these two characters and how they are brought together. Morgan’s misperceptions about Raz’k are cleared and they begin to work together which creates the opportunity Raz’k has been waiting for; a mating bond.
There’s plenty of action as the battle to rid earth of the scrourge in ever present and on-going. Then there’s the action of the steamy variety. Raz’k is highly talented, much to Morgan’s blissed out delight.
Overall, this small team of Hunters is beginning to grow and there’s not only a HEA for Raz’k and Morgan, but hope and promise of a much more peaceful future.

This story is longer than some of the others that I have read in this series and as such we get more than, “I can smell you are my mate, I get to keep you.”

Morgan is used to fending for herself and the last thing she needs is a big purple alpha male trying to take care of her. While Morgan comes off tough, she is a big softy and lets her dead-beat ex crash with her for a while that proves to have dire consequences.

Rhaz’k was drawn to Morgan like a moth to a flame. While he wanted to secret her away in his shuttle, he understood her need for her independence. Instead of following his baser instinct to toss her over his shoulder and make her come with him.

There was more of a tie in with some of the other hunters and mates from previous books which gave this addition a more rounded feel.

Both of them were strong when they needed to be and learnt how to bend a bit to accommodate the other person’s needs.
