Bernard Lenteric was a French writer born in Paris in 1944. He was best know for thriller fiction works, such as La Nuit des enfants rois, where he describes the destroying madness of seven teenagers gifted with almost superhuman intelligence.

Bernard Lenteric exerted the most varied trades before entering the world of literature. He became producer of cinema at 32 years old. Le dernier amant romantique (1978) in particular was a great success. He wrote his first book La Gagne in 1980, followed by La Nuit des enfants rois, a best-seller in France. He passed away in 2009 from amyotrophic lateral sclerosis.

This novel was a bit too slow for me so I wouldn't read it again. Still, it was well written and whenever I would start reading I never wanted to stop. There was always something about to happen that would keep you hooked.
