Treasured by the Alien #7

A Gift for the Alien Warrior

Rate this book
Can a forgotten alien warrior protect his newfound family?

Taranov spent years doing his duty before finally escaping his dying planet. His new life as a trader is calm, peaceful… and empty. Then he stumbles upon an abandoned ship, a helpless infant, and a beautiful female who can’t even remember her name. His instincts demand that he protect them, but his heart wants so much more.

Waking up on an alien ship is frightening enough, but her amnesia makes it even more terrifying. She doesn’t know if the massive green warrior is as kind as he seems to be, or if the child who feels like hers truly belongs to her.

Just as she begins to feel at home with Taranov and his ragtag crew, Wendy’s memory starts to return. She realizes that her very presence may endanger the baby and the male she is growing to love. What if the only way to protect them is to leave them?

Can Taranov keep his new family - and himself - safe from the horrors of the past and the dangers of the present?

Each book in the Treasured by the Alien series can be read as a standalone romance. This sweet and steamy HEA is intended for adults only.

So I really loved this one. It was weird, obviously, but it tugs at your heart strings forcefully.

I really need to stop reading these books out of order, but this Author, typically, when she says each book can be read as a standalone, she means it. I always find myself running across a last book of a series in her stories. Then working my way back through it.

I would recommend this read though. Quick, sweet, heartfelt and intense with a truly HEA close.

Taranov, he is just the sweetest. Giving alot of his human male counterparts a run for their money in the mate/romance department.

This sci-fi romance was super sweet and heartwarming. It was the perfect read for Mother’s Day. The hero was a lovely caretaker alpha type with delicious Funtime extras. The heroine was deeply sympathetic and nuanced. The theme of found family was wonderful, and the novel also had plenty of action, danger, and sky high stakes to keep the reading experience propulsive. The world building was deftly described, and the plot was tight and coherent. The development of the romantic relationship was also sweet. I love it when an alpha male in a romance novel sees the heroine and is immediately like, “MINE.” I highly recommend this novel for anyone wanting a comforting, heartwarming romance that also has some danger and high stakes. I look forward to reading the next book in this series when it releases.

I received a free copy of this book, and I am voluntarily writing this review.

Another human in a bad situation (made even more complicated by her lack of memory) and another Cire warrior who can't walk away once he sees her for the first time. Wendy is...well, she might know something bad happened, but she can't remember much of anything. The only thing she is sure of is that she trusts Taranov. The downside, he's not being entirely honest with her because he doesn't want to cause her more grief.

As for Taranov, he'd resigned himself to a life alone, so finding Wendy and the baby unlocked something in him he didn't know he needed. The thought of her leaving him and breaking up their new family unit fills him with dread. Which leads him to bend the truth a bit. He doesn't exactly lie, but he doesn't correct some of Wendy's misconceptions either.

Fortunately for Taranov, Wendy is the understanding sort. She's found a place she belongs and she's not going to give it up.

A little danger, a protective warrior, a family he won't walk away from, and a found family that works. I do enjoy these honorable warriors and their adoration of the human women who awaken them.

Another good story. This one had a little more peril. But no worries. Not too much and still very sweet. Happy reading!

Series: Treasured by the Alien #7
Rating: 3 stars - I liked it

When Taranov comes across an abandoned ship he never expects to find a human female and infant, or for him to be his fated mate. Unfortunately she has lost her memory and he is afraid he will lose her once he realizes he hasn’t been totally truthful.

Like all the books in this series, this one was short and sweet. The Cire are protective and very caring males and they really dote on their women. Taranov instantly knows that Wendy is his mate but is afraid that she will leave if he tells her the whole truth about how he found her. Taranov was a sweet and protective male but I didn’t love that he kept the truth from her. I do like that he manned up about it though and respected her wishes for distance.

Wendy was a smart and strong woman. She has spent her life mostly alone and has learned to be very independent because of it. I felt sorry for her because she had such terrible luck with her parents and ex. But, she really blossoms with Taranov and becomes a great adoptive mother.

One of my favorite parts of this series is the aspect of found family. These Cire warriors really create wonderful families from those who don’t have anyone. Also I love that they are so protective towards children and women. I just love all of Taranov’s friends in this one, especially the grumpy old cook Curall.

Overall, this was a very short and sweet alien romance. I look forward to reading more from this series.

Trigger Warnings: attempted rape, kidnapping, cheating ex mentioned, neglectful parents

I love it. I have read all the other stories. I’ve been here since the beginning and I just got to say this one is by far my favorite story in the series. I liked how the story started and ended. The main couple’s relationship was beautiful written. I thought because she had amnesia it was gonna be a little over the top, but it was not it was nicely done. It was talked about it was there, but it wasn’t like the whole point of the story.

It's time for another series, but this time by Honey Phillips. Treasured by the Alien are a series of books that follow the same formula. An older woman is taken from Earth and is accompanied by a child, not always their own, and are subsequently saved by a lizard like alien called a Cire and then they fall in love and form a found family unit.

This one is about Wendy and Taranov. I'll be honest, I kept getting confused because I was mistaking Wendy for Wanda from book 4. Wendy is an amnesiac and is found at a crime scene with a baby.

So disappointing. I’ve read almost all of the books in the series, and I loved the first ones, but this one was formulaic and dull. There was very little explanation or world building, the characters were two dimensional, the plot was uninspired and rushed, and even the sex just seemed like a regurgitation.

I loved the way this book began. It was kind of like a Miami Vice episode in space. I love how Taranov is so sweet with Latiri and baby Kivi. He just melts my heart when he's holding Kivi. This book was like "Adventures in Babysitting with a Cire Warrior" at some points in the book. It's quite endearing. Taranov takes Latiri and Kivi back to his home planet to meet his crew. I loved the family aspect of everyone living together and having different talents and strengths. Sometimes friends and co-workers make the best family. Throughout the book Latiri is slowly recovering her memory. And there's some surprises along the way. This story was super sweet with themes of family, friendship, love, and adoption. It's the perfect release for Mother's Day! 4 stars

A Gift for the Alien Warrior de Honey Phillips, Bex McLynn Serie Treasured by the Alien libro 7

Argumento:

This was a surprisingly sweet sci-fi alien romance. It had plenty of steam, but many sweet moments with the aliens and the children. The aliens all adore children, and it was so sweet how they would do anything for them. The way the alien H looked was a bit different, but that didn't seem to bother the h.

I adored Taranov -- he was just a sweetheart. I also liked that his entire Cire race was known for being honorable and trustworthy. He rescued Latiri and Kivi (giving them his own pet names, when he didn't know theirs, was adorable), even though the time it took could hurt his business. Then he immediately fell in love with both of them, and considered them his family. Even when Latiri wasn't sure yet if she wanted to be his mate, he still never doubted that he wanted both of them.

Latiri was likable, too, and I was glad that she didn't let her memory loss keep her from loving Taranov. She was afraid her past would keep them from being together, but she still wanted to be his family.

I loved how all of Taranov's friends immediately jumped in to save Latiri when she was kidnapped. They barely knew her, but they still wanted to help -- simply because they were good people. I also really loved that Taranov and Latiri ended up adopting Pietr, who was also a sweetheart.

Overall, I really liked this book. My favorite parts were the interaction between the aliens and the children. They all fell madly in love with the children, and it didn't matter to them at all whether they were human, alien, or mixed species.

My rating system is below.
1 star -- Hated it, or did not finish. I usually only give this rating if some of the content is truly objectionable to me, like if one of the main characters does something really awful, and gets away with it.
2 stars -- Didn't like it. This rating usually means that I thought the writing wasn't very good, the editing was terrible, I didn't like the characters, or it had other major flaws.
3 stars -- I liked it, but had some minor issues with it. This rating means that there were minor editing issues, the story needed more character development, it was just too unrealistic, or had some other fairly minor issue. The majority of books I read get this rating – I do not consider it a bad rating.
4 stars -- I liked it a lot. This is a high rating for me, and I rarely give a higher one.
5 stars -- I loved it, and will probably read it again. Very few books are good enough to get this rating from me. The ones that do are usually classics.

Honestly could Taranov be any sweeter. He has resigned himself to a life alone, well without family. He has found a kind of numb acceptance that he will not have a mate, be a father or really have any lasting ties to anyone. The final thing to push this honourable Cire from his home planet was when incubators were shipped in so as to maitain his race. It was more than he could agree to and he left, difting along until one day he comes across a craft just floating there. He goes to investigate and finds a human woman. Not quite believing what seems to he happening but he has been gifted his mate and a child. What more could he want? The thing is his mate has no idea of who she is. She has a strong character or she would not have made it this far but she cannot quite work out what seems to be wrong. She cannot remember her baby or Taranov. She knows that he feels safe and he feels familiar yet new somehow. She can't even remember her own name, blast it. He's holding back and she has no idea why?
I loved Taranov. Trying to be as honest as he can while not pushing things or causing more trauma. He wants her to regain her memories in due course not have them forced on her. After so long too he wishes his mate to want him because she does not because she thinks she ought to and only when she truly knows herself.

3.5 stars.

No plot spoilers
No potential triggers
The characterisation is good, although I thought there was something missing, the elusive something that allows the reader to form a connection with the characters.
Both main characters felt a bit too nice, too pleasant and therefore not real.
The plotline is more or less just the same as previous books in the series.
I think I would have enjoyed it more if it had a few cameos from previous characters.
There must be hundreds of female humans in space by now, those Vedeckians are prolific thieves, so isn't it about time they formed some sort of alliance, since none of them seem to want to go back to Earth? At the very least they should unionise!
There are a couple of sex scenes, vividly described.
There is some swearing, most notably the 'C' word.
There are some errors but not enough to irritate or kill the book.
If you are a fan of the genre I have no problem recommending the series.
All of them can be read as a standalone, you don't need to have read any of the previous books, but I would recommend it to obtain the best reading experience.
IDK if I will purchase the next book in the series, for me it's played out and I can't see the authors amending their format to make the books more enjoyable.
That said, the next book is months away so I probably will buy the next one!

A shorter (under 200 page) sci-fi romance where fated mates are instantly attracted to each other, but have some obstacles between them and a low-mid dose of darkness & danger to overcome. The heroine, Wendy Ballard aka 'Latiri', may be a little older & start with no memory, but that doesn't stop her attraction to the hero. The hero, Taranov Nak'Torian, is an honorable Cire trader who wants to do right by the new woman & child that have fallen into his life, but with her lack of memory he struggles with how much is best to tell her.

I'd say this book was about par for the course, or in other words, I liked it for what it was. Insta-lust, strong muscled honorable hero, steamy scenes, danger & threat of rape, HEA - all check. I would call the character development low-mid (again par for this series / type of book). Sometimes this author / series can get a bit on the dark side for me, but this one only a shade or two darker than a 'light & fun'. In other words bad things tended to almost happen or happen off-screen.

*****Spoiler Alert*****
This Book Includes
Violence.
Scene of & flashbacks to attempted rape leading to accidental death, remembering being held & sold as a slave, threatened rape, murder by broken neck offscreen
Sex. MF sex, anal play with tail, tail use during foreplay & sex, cock with nubs.

This was such an enjoyable read, right from the start it had me hooked. Taranov had to be the cutest, most sincere alien I have had the pleasure of reading about. Not only that, but he was hot in the most enjoyable ways. From the beginning, Taranov has singled himself out to be a loner but in a sense of being mateless, which in itself is just as heartbreaking once you read more of his story. But he is not alone in a sense because he does set himself up job-wise with employees/friends.
I absolutely loved the story because it flowed so well as to not really feel like time around you has passed, and I love being engrossed into a story. Now, next we meet Latiri, FMC, and then Kivi, baby FMC, there's so much that happens when Taranov finds them that it is so sweet and sad at the same time. Latiri does have a bit of amnesia but it really does not hinder how strong of a character she is, if anything it helps move forward. And, baby Kivi is just the cutest baby ever. The action, adventure and romance we get in this story is just what we need, and trust me, it is very tasty. Definitely grab this book, you'll enjoy great read!

Taranov has finally been able to escape his dying planet. So much death, he could not take it anymore. Now he has a ship and he’s happy as a trader. What he didn’t expect on his trade route was finding an abandoned ship floating in space. Curiosity had him wanting to see what was on the ship, what he didn’t expect to find was a human female and a small baby. Wendy wakes up and realizes she remembers nothing. She sees she’s a board and alien ship, as strange as it seems she excepts that and excepts what a gorgeous alien is telling her. But Taranov is very careful what he says not wanting to traumatize her. She is so happy, Taranov is so perfect for her, and she’s always wanted a child. Tearing off could not be happier, he finally has a family he’s always wanted. What could possibly go wrong? There was something else on that floating ship that Tar off was not in a hurry to tell Wendy about, and now that one thing might ruin their happiness forever. I am really crazy about this series. I love the happily ever after‘s and the acceptance of all the different species of aliens.

Taranov left his planet after the red death took all the females. He could not follow the councils dictates. Taranov now has his own ship and in his travels, comes across a yacht. Deciding to board to check it out, he discovers a dead alien and an unconscious female. He frees her, feels so protective of her and realizes she's his mate. And she has a baby. The trauma of what she went though is fogging her mind. She doesn't remember anything , not even if the baby is hers. He calls her Latiri and the baby Kivi. And he decides to not explain everything to Latiri right away. This story is so sweet, with a special connection between Taranov and Latiri, danger, excitement, and great plot twists. Honey has marvelous imagination and I never have trouble envisioning her characters, locations or getting lost in her story. And there is an HEA.

This is the first book I’ve read of this series and I loved every page I turned and kept me captivated right up till the very end but it made me won’t to read the rest so that’s my plan. Taranov use to be a Circe warrior and after leaving his dying home planet he is a trader now and now he has stumbled upon a crashed space yacht with dead aliens on board and a baby and a beautiful human female who doesn’t remember her own name but he takes them in anyway and the more time he spends with them both they begin to become his family. When Wendy finally remembers her name it’s to late she has fallen for the sexy green warrior Taranov who has been looking after them both with so much love and care that she is worried now that her past could in danger them all. How does it all turn out and do they get there HEA or not.

I love love this read

Like the previous books, the Cire warrior honourable, noble and always missing that one thing that will make him truly fulfilled ‘his sole mate’ then a family of his own. His story starts with him finding a female human and baby aboard a ship, then instantly feels a connection to them. I love the authors storyline, it gradually grabs you, then you are sucked into the story. As usual, don’t want the story to have an ending. Latiri is written as a independent woman of stature which the author writes in strategically in areas of the story when needed, Taranov is, as always, noble, as possessive as his tail and protective of what is his only. The secondary characters are colourful and befits the storyline with their wit, humour, sometimes their need for rescuing and long standing friendships ..cant wait for the next one ..please hurry ..I absolutely love this series

Want my own Cire !!!

Latiri and Taranov is story was another magnificent addition to this wonderful world of of those poor Cires .
In this book , Taranov is the Captain of his own trading ship , and he is out looking for new trading routes, when he stumbles on a spaceship that has been seemingly abandoned.
Oh oh, that can't be good !!!
What Taranov finds is a hurt female, and the mystery only gets crazier from there !!!
She has no memory , so Taranov names her Latiri , which means precious, and he feels as though he must protect her at all costs.
Love those Cire !!!!
This book continues as the mystery of who Latiri is and how she has come to be where they are , and where did the baby come from ?????
Thus book had intrigue and action and lovey dovey times and I did not want it to end !!! Already wanting the next book !!!

Lovely syfy romance stories

These novels are about a world based on honorable males, smart older females & the belief family is based on love not biology (the author’s statement paraphrased).

That statement alone is worth 5 stars. The novels are wonderful, at appropriate times erotic, & a bit formulaic. They each follow the same basic format, though doing so with slightly different characters.

And yet, they are each wonderful & delightful escapes into a world some have built that many envy. I entreat you to read these novels & let the ideals flourish in your own lives. Honor, mutual respect, patience when needed, intimacy at all times and the understanding that love is the only way to build a family, whether through biology or not are all at the core to achieving fulfillment.

Very highly recommended for both romance & syfy lovers.

I loved this book! The story caught and held my attention right from the beginning and I couldn't put it down. It had all the magic and charm I always find in Honey Phillip's books. I loved Taranov, Latiri, and Kivi. Taranov is a trader and spotted a stalled ship, but found only blood and death aboard and a lone unconscious human female and a human baby. Latiri has no memories of who she is, doesn't recognize Taranov or the baby, or even know if it's hers. I loved watching these two bond. Taranov is such a sweet and caring male. Even without her memories, Latiri felt a connection with him and a rightness at his side. The bit of mystery surrounding her and the situation kept me captivated. A sweet read. I recommend it. 5 stars.

Another beautiful book in this feel good series, Treasured by the Alien, by Honey Phillips. This story, A Gift for the Alien Warrior follows Taranov, a trader and former Circe warrior. Taranov comes across a crashed space yacht with dead aliens, a human infant, and a human female that is unconscious. He feels the strong need to help this female and the infant, seeing as the female fought hard to defend herself, killing her attacker. Wendy has amnesia, and as her memory comes back, she realizes she wasn’t as happy with her past as she thought.

This book was a joy to read. I absolutely love this book. It was a great addition to the series. I hope there will be more to come!.

I am a huge fan of Honey Phillips and adore her Treasured by the Alien series. This is another great addition and will hook you from the start!
Honey always includes the right amount of sass, spice and soul to her stories.

You will find yourself caught up in Taranov and Wendy’s journey as they try to discover what happened to her memory and who she is. You will be rooting for their HEA from the get go, as a couple they are cute as!!

This series is perfect for new readers looking for a good SF Romance to dip their toes in as it brings the heat and heart without it dominating the story!!

Would highly recommend!!.

Getting to read another piece of the "Treasured by the Alien" series is always a joy and delight. Each of the wonderful Cire warriors we are introduced to have their own distinct personalities, but are all embedded with the dedication, protective instincts, and moral fortitude that you yearn for in a well fleshed-out hero. And the fierce women of this series are intelligent, brave, active participants in their rescue. In this installment Wendy and Taranov try to unravel how they have each landed in their current predicament while slowly falling for one another.

You will definitely not regret reading this or any other book in the series.
