Rate this book
Moore is the only one of the Bane brothers who is upholding a blood oath they made years ago. It has left him at a disadvantage. Without the bond from his mate, his brothers are too powerful to destroy. He has a plan, but it will come with big consequences. A mate chosen at random in town should give him a bond that will make him powerful enough to go to war with his brothers, but the more he gets to know the stranger he’s picked, the more he thinks she is more trouble than she’s worth. With Moore, she’s stepped into something so much deeper than she could’ve ever imagined. His life is covered in secrets and shadows, and with the reveal of each one, she is realizing she’s in way over her head. The man in him has her hooked, but the bear inside of him is a different beast altogether. There’s a war brewing, and she might be the only one who can stop Moore from fulfilling his dark destiny. So, we've been leading up to this one, the mean Moore, the scariest bear of them all. Sure he was surly, but not quite so scary. I found him sitting in town to pick out a mate to be funny, the way he rated women, very much in character. Aurora shouldn't have worked as a mate for him in so many ways, but she was perfect. Her crazy ways melded with his own and she took to him being a bear quite well.

The drama at the end was interesting. I look forward to seeing what was up with the crows and why they are such mortal enemies with the bears.

I did like how this one ended, liked that all the brothers were at the home place, how the pictures matched up and their hope for the future.

Great ending

Moore had the weight of the world on his shoulders that is until he met Aurora. The war came however he didn't sink to that level. Was happy to see the line is not the end.

This is really funny. The fun starts with Moore talking to himself about the low standard woman he needs to bond with an get an extra power boost. Then comes along "Pajama Pants" and takes their interaction to a whole new level. I think I found something funny on each page until it started turning serious at like 60%. Like, 3rd date serious. You will know what that means once you read this book. Hilarious.

Quotes like this took it to a new level:
“Look, can I be honest?” “I prefer honesty,” she said with a nod. “You talk too much, you overshare, you stress me out for reasons I don’t understand, and I want to walk away from our conversations half the time.” “That’s called love,” she whispered.

And:
"I thought I’d found the one. The one. Do you know what I mean? I’ve waited my whole life to find the one, and I thought I’d found him. He even made it to the third date. Do you know what the third date is?” she asked him. “The titty touch date?”

So! The bears stood their ground with the crows and did NOT kill more people like predicted. And now we switch to the Crow side of the story with the next books.

OMG I never thought I would laugh so much with Moore's story; I thought it would be scarier!

Moore in his desire to end his brothers goes out seeking a mate to fulfill his desire since it would be the only way to kill them. Never in his life did he imagine what awaited him when he met Aurora. She's a crazy lady!

Moore discovers things about his parents he never imagined. Will this discovery be the end of their oath, or will it only make it worse?

Great story get ready to laugh out loud, cry and sweat during the passionate moments

Again, kudos Ms. Joyce!

Short and fast reading.
The evil grumpy bear and the sunshine human.
I wish it could have been a little more explicit in the dynamic and no that rushed but it was the perfect reading to my present mood.
Evil moore made me want to hug him tight, he was big misunderstood and I hate it but he got his hea so that's it.

Overall: short fun reading.

DNF

This book dragged for me. I cannot stand reading about silly immature females, especially when she is supposed to be 35! In her defense she did warn him on their first date. I stopped reading the authors books for a long time due to almost all her female leads being like this. I took chance on her again with this series, first book was great, 2nd was okay, but the third? That’s gonna be a no from me dog. Only made it to the 34% mark. Female lead was unbelievable for a 35 year old and to still be that stupid? SMH. DNF.

This is the third Bane Bear brother to find his mate. I may have liked this one the best. Moore was so grumpy and kind of mean at first. Aurora was so sweet and she just rolled with it. He would say something mean and she wouldn’t take it personally, she would sort of just turn it into a joke.

She really made me laugh quite a bit, and it was fun seeing her soften Moore. He just needed someone who soft and tender with him to break through his hard exterior.

Loved the h as she helps the H who is filled with guilt and rage. At first, she seemed a bit silly but as he gets to know her he sees her as the treasure she really is. Their bonding changed the future for so many.

A Hauntingly Beautiful Third Installment to the Bane Brother's Saga...

I am absolutely loving T.S Joyce’s “Oath of Bane” series! Joyce has definitely been a much needed bright spot for me in a 2021 that still looks and feels a bit too much like 2020. It’s been admittedly hard to keep all of my reading and reviewing momentum going when I’ve had to move so far away from many of the activities and goals I was working toward before plague-world hit. And while things are slowly returning to something akin to “normal” (if there is such a thing), the Bane brothers have thankfully given me a proper punch in the heart and thrown me on an emotional rollercoaster so violent in its lurching back and forth from “aww” inducing happiness to bawling your eyes out, I have had to stop and ponder each one fully before moving onto the next! Each one has been better than the last and this third installment of the series is certainly no exception as Moore’s story is the most emotionally charged, heartbreaking, and nerve fraying story yet!

Here with book three, “How It’s Meant to Be” Joyce once again plunges you back deep into the Bane brothers saga, expanding it further with the story of Moore Bane, the darkest and most violent of the bear shifter triplets, an unforgiving man who accepts his destiny as the leader of the brothers and stays determined to fulfill their pact of ending their shifter line as agreed to in blood so many years before by any means possible. He is a man with extraordinary emotional weight on his shoulders, responsibilities no one else can even begin to fathom, not even Brick and Aux. He has endured pain the others have not. He harbors knowledge the others do not possess. He is bound by treaties no one else is, and as such he embarks on a path to fulfill these bonds and kill his brothers by harnessing the power of the mate bond. A plan that brings him to Aurora, a clingy, overactive, exhaustingly talkative woman Moore initially views as an easy target, someone to fulfill his power grabbing strategy and nothing more. Yet a woman who turns out to be far, far more than Moore expects, as she holds the ability to do something no one else on earth has ever been able to do before, stop Moore in his tracks and get him to pay attention to the truth of his life and the lives of those around him.

What follows is an extraordinarily poignant tale that will rip you to shreds and have you begging for more. It is a powerful book that delves into the binds of childhood promises, the lies our elders tell us, and how those lies mold the adults the children told them become. It is an astonishingly affecting story, one that will hold your attention hostage from start to finish.

You will also get some of the much needed perspective you have been begging for since book one! Moore’s story finally sheds light on the events in the brother’s past that led them to the pact.  You are finally shown a tiny peek into the real story of the crows and what their omens really mean to the bear brothers. You are also finally shown how each of the brothers fit in to the overall prophecy of the grizzlies and what their decision to void the pact may really mean for their futures and the ongoing battles with the crows.  However, I have to also warn you that with these answers come even more questions! Questions like, why do their parents and the generations before them turn into man eaters?  What is the catalyst for these events, and what do the crows really have to do with it all?  Are they really protectors of the humans or the spark that lights the grizzlies taste for death?  And more importantly, what do the ending revelations among the brothers mean for the future?  Will we get to see the true story arc building with the brothers from start to finish (in other words will there be more than four books?!?).  Will they choose to truly mate their women in the full way both Aux and Brick describe in their books? There is still so much to be uncovered, so many characters left on the canvas to be explored...

Never before have I been so thoroughly imprinted by a set of characters.  I am almost rabid with the need for answers to these and so many more questions. It is a burden on my heart previously unknown with other books. A burden so heavy with need I have literally been dreaming about it every night for the last eight days.  This emotionally wrenching, fast paced yet menacing story has steeped itself deep into my soul and now languishes there without apology, whispering into my ear all of the possible outcomes that could be in store for Bane brothers and their mates.

What a gorgeous level of emotional depth Joyce brings to her characters, and a hauntingly beautiful story overall.  I simply cannot wait for book four!!!

Change Is Coming!!!

Moore Bane, a Bear shifter like his brothers, Auxor ( HOW IT’S SUPPOSED TO BE ) and Brick ( HOW IT HAS TO BE ). They're triplets who were taught to fear their lineage, after their parents deaths, they make a path to let their legacy die with them but then Aux and Brick found their mates. And he was the only one left to uphold the oath.

He had a plan to get stronger in order to go to war. He decided to choose a random person to be his mate. What he didn't expect was to fall for her, she was more trouble than he thought. Yet she was exactly what he needed.

Aurora Shelton was done with men, she wanted to focus on her business and herself for the next few months. Well all that went to he!! when she met a growly, handsome stranger by the name of Moore. She knew that there was something different about him and when she started to find out what made him tick. She realized that she was in over her head.

It didn't stop her from falling for Moore and vice versa even though the giant of a man didn't understand what was happening to him. Loved how Trinity and Aurora hit it off the first time they met. The Bane brothers finally got all the answers to their inquiries regarding their parents. They had each other's backs when war came, the enemies made the mistake of going after the woman Moore loved.

So happy that the Banes got their HEAs.

HOW IT’S MEANT TO BE is the third novella in T. S. Joyce's OATH OF BANE series. Oh my what a phenomenal and riveting story. T. S. Joyce did a remarkable job. Can't wait for what she has in store for us next! 5🌟🌟🌟🌟

The third brother, the bad one?  We get to know more behind the promise the Bane brothers made to each other, and what was behind it.  We learn more about Moore and the reasoning behind his actions, and we learn that he is not so bad after all, they never are.  His journey is even harder than one of his siblings, and he has more obstacles to get over, but Aurora is just the right person to help him along.

Aurora is a very fun character, just like most of T.S. Joyce's characters are, she has a very fun crazy personality that's just what Moore needs.  I like how their relationship grows, because it's not like with his siblings, for a moment there it seems like they are not meant to be, or that he is not meant to be happy, but of course, it's a romance and it has to have a happy ending, and what an ending!  It's very satisfying and proof that we are the masters of our destiny, and that while some are so determined to avoid things and end up being the ones that cause them, others face things head on and make their own destinies, no matter what other people things or wants.

I thought it was done, but we will get another book that I'm sure will give the series a nice wrap-up and  will give us a glimpse of the other side of the conflict.  I sure love to have the whole picture, and to have a redemption arc.

Moore and Aurora are my new favorites in this series.

Aurora is my favorite type of heroine, an awkward mess with a tendency to word vomit. She made me laugh out loud with all of that, but she was also incredibly kind, and Moore needed that.

Moore was the toughest nut to crack out of the brothers, but for good reason, he had been dealt a raw deal, and for that he spent many years letting those tormented feelings fester.

Until he came face to face with the woman he didn’t know was everything he needed to find a way to heal from the past and begin to start thinking of a future.

It was a quick easy read, but pulls you in and keeps you immersed in the world from start to finish with the storyline, witty banter, and steam.

This is the third book in the series and they must be read in order. Moore is anger. His brothers broke their oath. But they are too strong for him to kill now that they have their mate bonds. Moore has a plan. He is going to find a woman and get a mate bond for himself. Too bad the girl he finds isn’t what he had in mind at all. Aurora drawn to Moore right away. She has a plan as well. After this last break up she is going to take 3 months off men. Then she meets Moore. There is more to Moore and his brother’s history than they know. The Crow people and the bears have an intertwined history. Will Moore and his brothers and their mates be able to change things? This was a great ending for this series. Just like his brothers Moore changes with the mate bond. All he wanted was the bond not the girl. Aurora is funny and wonderful. She knows there is something different about Moore but she doesn’t seem to care. She just wants to be there for him even if he doesn’t want her in the way, she wants him. T.S. Joyce has done it again. This is a fantastic series and I can’t wait to see what see comes up with next. I can’t recommend this series or her other books enough.

Ok hands down this is absolute favorite in this series so far. It was way way funnier than the other 2 (and that’s saying something cause #1 & #2 made me chuckle a lot!). And it made me cry the most, in a good sweet way. Even though this brother sounded like he was going to be super scary and not knowledgeable about social skills, I found by far the best, funniest, sweetest of them all, and his inner dialogue was freaking hilarious especially regarding Aurora not having any self preservation skills, lol... Best of all this book had all the missing answers I had craving from the first 2 books...the crows? Yup! Finally!! The weird photos? Yes and awe! The brothers family history and parents? You bet with a super awesome HEA for all 3 brothers and their mates! And yes we get to see updates on Gwen and Trinity and Tuck, so yeah, I think I’m in love with TS now... cannot wait for Crome in book 4! In the meantime, since this is my first series from TS I’ve already gone back to the very start and downloaded her first series Saw Bears- and I cannot wait!!!!!

What can I say?
I LOVE Joyce's writing. Her style is down-to-earth, sometimes self-deprecating but often up-lifting in a raw, real human way. But do not be deceived. The author is VERY savvy and understands the emotional & psychological dynamics that can either wreck us or build us up. It is always incredible how she is able to take such broken souls, match them up & then patch them up without compromising what makes her characters unique. I always identify with her female protagonists. Even when they're 6 bricks short of a load, they make me laugh & feel better about my own crazy. They are wonderful souls who try & try & try. The seek to build; not destroy.

On the days when I REALLY need to laugh & be hugged; this is my remedy. After nearly a decade, she's still a pre-order for me & one of my absolute favorite authors. I own EVERY Single Book of hers. If you haven't already sampled her books; simply pick a book. ANY book. And start reading~ You really will feel so much better afterward.

Such an emotional mess of a story.
Starts with some great quirky humour but when the brother’s mothers’ journals are read, wow, emotional mess time.
Aurora is the perfect mate for Moore. She comes across as an airhead, ditzy, fruitcake. But there is a genuine warmth and kindness in her that offsets her weirdness. And to run her own interior design business, dealing with different clients, is not the job of an idiot.
So horrible that the Crows actions are responsible for what happened. As Aurora says, it is the Crows actions that are fulfilling the prophecy, not the bears. Yes, they come from a long line of killers but their parents just wanted peace to raise their family.
I’m not sure why Krome pointed Moore towards his mothers’ journals, or why they were supposed to read the Crows history, we don’t know.
The next book is about Krome, the crow leader but I have to think about reading it, as sometimes redemption just isn’t deserved.

If you enjoy this author, you'll enjoy this book. I do think that the stories are becoming formulaic. I also wonder why some of the characters don't just have a conversation with each other.

The conflict with the crows in this series seems confusing to me. Like, they're in conflict but...why? And why not just...stop? There's lots of "I'm a monster!" justification but not a lot of why that is. Yes, I did read the whole book so I read the part about the numbers in the journal and how that makes the inner animal go out of control but...it just seemed sort of...tame and not really out of control. It just seems like if you're 35 years old, you've put some thought into your life and realize that why you're doing some of this stuff is because someone who doesn't have your best interests at heart is telling you to. So you'd stop doing that stuff and live a real life.

I'll still finish this series and I still like the writing but this author is no longer an auto buy for me.

How it's meant to be

I liked this semi conclusion to the three bears stories. It looks like crow stories are coming next.

Chef's kiss to this grumpy bastard MMC,

“The uglier the better. That way he wouldn’t get attached or grow inconvenient feelings for her. She would be in his life for one thing, and one thing alone—the bond. Then he would kill his brothers, and then ditch Pajama Pants to go live her life.”

Poor men and their “inconvenient feelings”. I laughed through this whole story. Because we all know the bitchier they are, the harder they fall. The MFC is the perfect foil to his dysfunctional grouchiness.

“Do you like him?” Trinity asked. “I mean…is he likable?”
Aurora told her, “He’s made of brimstone and red flags. He’s just my type.”

I wonder if this is the problem with most men,

“It’s hard to stay good when you have a predator in your head….”

And this is just so much… TRUTH,

“I’m a middle-aged pigeon with some life experience at least.”

Changing destiny

Well, Moore is the strongest, meanest and most unfeeling on the triplets. Now that Aux and Brick have mates, they are stronger. He knows that in order for him to be able to kill them he must find a mate to gain power.
Aurora is an odd duck at times. She always sees the best in everything. But she is also treated badly. She likes to talk a LOT. She also has corny things to say in order to lighten any mood.
Can these two who are total opposites actually be perfect for each other? How can Moore change his destiny of becoming a murder bear, especially with the crows there egging him on all the time?
I love the ending!!!
We get some explanation as to why the bears are the way they are. I have several more questions about the bear/crow relationship but hopefully they will be answered in the next book which I will be watching closely for.

My favorite of the stories about the Bane brothers, this book clears up some of the mysteries of the other books. Reading in order is helpful to get the whole foundation of the mythology surrounding the bear shifters. This story follows Moore, the most temperamental of the Bane brothers, the one who had to do the difficult job of containing their murderous parents. We found out more about how and why they became who they were and what makes bear shifters so dangerous.

Aurora was my favorite character of all of the series. Hilarious and strong, even though she was obviously very down because of her past, I really enjoyed watching her strengthen herself and then the final bane brother. This story gave us much more insights into the Crow blooded too and I was really upset at their role in this war but I know this author will redeem the king, Krome, in the next book.

A wonderful end to a fantastic series

What a wonderful end to a beautiful series. How its meant to be is the last book of Oath of Bane series. This book had me laughing and giggling from the start. I cried, scream and cheered for the characters. They grip you and refuse to let go.
T. S. Joyce knows exactly how to create a character that makes you feel all kinds of emotions. The way she strings her words heals hearts and brings happiness.
The Bane brothers are all growly and big but Moore is the darker, growlier of them. His mate Aurora is all smiles and sunshine. Their chemistry is fun and endearing.
A quick, beautiful, easy read with awesome one liners, a fun and charming story.
A BIG recommend even her others works are absolutely worth the read.

Gripping

Moore and Aurora's story was really, really good! It also had its very sad moments. There were moments that were truly laugh out loud as well. Moore has lived with a burden since his childhood and knowing he has to take care of things give him an idea to obtain power to do what he thinks he must. Little did he know that The homely woman he selects would be his real destiny.

The reason I could not give it five stars is because I really believe these stories should be longer. The writer has the capability and talent. I am hoping one day she will write longer stories. I look forward to the series with the crows. I believe she has already written a raven series.

Excellent and emotional

T has done it again and written a funny, heart wrenching and emotional story. Moore is the last of the Grizzly bear triplets not mated. His agreement with the crows made him the one who is supposed to kill his brothers to end their line. Since mating his brothers have grown more powerful so Moore sets out to find his own mate. His sole purpose is to become powerful enough to kill his brothers. But then something amazing happens when he decides Aurora is the one to go after. She's quirky, talkative and drives him crazy but he finds he misses her when they aren't together. She sees the good in him and with the strength of her love he learns he can change his destiny. Loved the story and love the series.

How it’s Meant to Be❣️

This is the third book in the Oath of Bane series and focuses on Moore and Aurora. Moore has realised a mate-bond like his brothers have gives them power, so he’s devised a plan to do the same thing and picks an unsuspecting woman in town. But as he gets to know Aurora, things start slowly changing😁

War with the Crows is coming but will their destiny already be written or can Moore’s destiny be changed? T.S. Joyce has a way of making you dislike the enemies in her books and from past experience when she’s then gone on to write those enemies books, you get to know them better and realise they’re not all bad🤷‍♀️She has a real talent, which keeps me coming back for more...oh and her devious humour I love too❤️ Looking forward to the Crows😍

Moore and Aurora are a hoot. He with his motives and her with in your face, don't give a sh*t personality. Both so much deeper than what they appear. The Bear usually knows what is right in front of them, even if the human hasn't quite caught up. Here is a woman willing to be a friend to a man who in friendless. Together they are whole and can excel to great heights. And do. Moore and Aurora round out the family that needs to be a family. Great story with lots of smiles and tears. Perfect HEA book. The book is a quick read, but just long enough that you end it feeling wanting.
Well worth your time and $$, so get to it!
Looking forward to finding out about the Crow Blooded, and what Krome is up to.
