Well, ladies and gentlemen 😀...*runs away*. This was kind of like The Hating Game on steroids but worse. I think the quote above encapsulates pretty much every bad aspect of this whole novella, but if you're desperate for more evidence, I seem to have accumulated a shit tone of just-as-gross examples in my updates for this book. I'll now be moving on to another book in attempt to erase this one from my memory!
“Harrison, you fucking dick god!” It didn’t make sense, and I didn’t care. I could already feel another one building. “Who gave you the right to fuck this good?”

I realized I never wrote my review last night.
For such a short book the H annoyed me a lot. He was such a fucking tease to the point where I was like does he even like her??? But what can I say I live for the forced proximity and there isn't anything that forces one to be in such close proximity to another like an elevator. I need more romances with broken down elevator scenes pronto!

Literally died internally several times because of the cringe and in my opinion ZEROOO logic.
Listen, I don't expect a wonderfully thought through read from short steamy novellas, however, there must be at least some coherent and comprehensible thoughts present.
I kept asking myself: Is the logic in the room with us, or rather in the elevator in that case? Because I ain't finding you in any corner, shawtey🤠😭
Also the lack of hygiene in this elevator and like how they idk proceeded to get spicy-
That was extremely hard to ignore and overlook...
Them literally doing the deed in one chapter and in the next chapter not even talking and being mean to each other (and this cycle again and again) gave me an ick, honestly

What the fuck did I just read. It stared off good then we got the part where he called her kitten and I gagged and then they had sex and she called him a “fucking dick god” which I have no words for. That’s not even the worst part then he starts calling her mine when he hated her like 3 hours ago and tells her she can’t take Plan b because she his. LIKE WTF! I mean I read this in 5 minutes and safe to say I wasted them 5 minutes.

Love this concept. Trapped in an elevator due to natural causes and not just like maintenance needed.
So it feels like a love-hate relationship like could be an enemies to lovers maybe?
Or not does she just genuinely hate him??
I don’t like him very much he has so far zero redeeming qualities he is not very nice to her and yet she wants to jump his bones?
OK so we are now 20 pages into an 80 page book and I don’t know what either one of them looks like so there’s that which is quite frustrating since this is clearly just going to be a one dimensional on the surface type of book.
I am officially 50% of the way in and so far he has made her angry made me angry she has jumped down his throat he has done nothing but prove that he maybe liked her in the beginning but does it now? I genuinely don’t know I don’t know where this author is going with any of this. I don’t know of if it’s an unrequited love on his end or he secretly liked her this whole time or if he just finds her attractive and wants to bone I don’t know and it’s frustrating because she very clearly wants to be with him and have sex with him but also hates him which makes us hate him because it’s only one POV so I’m not getting much here besides frustration.

This novella was incredible!
The tension, characterisation and spice all built into just 50 pages was so well done.
It’s testimony to the writing that I could picture both Harrison & Brielle and the whole situation so clearly it was like a film.
The premise of being stuck in an elevator with your work ‘enemy' was so well done. The tension built and built then it was like an inferno.
I was left wanting more!
