Ever wondered what a dog's perspective towards life might be? What they might be thinking or feeling? Steve is one such short story which is based on the life of a dog named Steve who is adopted by a wealthy suburban family. Read this gripping, funny and emotional story about his various experiences around humans through his journey from being a little pup to a full grown dog to falling in love! Come find out how life has unfolded for this ambitious little pup!
Pranav Rao is a curious soul who is not afraid to question the traditional ways in order to find better ones. He often finds himself oscillating between free will and determinism. He studies people and situations and has an uncanny knack of finding stories around him or better still, within him. He can often be found reading a book, usually non-fiction, while he is stuck in traffic. Just like cooking, which he enjoys, he uses ingredients of experience, observation, imagination & inspiration to weave his stories. You can find him unwinding with his friends at a local joint over the weekends.
Steve is an amazing story narrated from the perspective of an adorable pet dog named Steve. Pranav Rao has carefully chosen and well attributed all the thoughts, feelings, and hopes that dogs possess as well.
Steve lives with his mother and nine siblings in a barn. They all have been trained to behave well in front of people to get adopted into the best homes just like his father who is said to be living as a prince. He is then adopted by the Smith family where Harry, who is a kind and loving boy, loves being in his company. The author's love for dogs shines through in the narrative. I loved the humour of the story, especially when they assign human interpretations to doggie behaviour. It simply made me laugh out loud.
The writing style is light, breezy and easily accessible to readers of all ages. Because it is as much a story about the love between a man and a dog most of the story was full of fun and games and delightful smiles, but I will warn readers to have a box of tissues handy for the ending. It’s a very short read, just 21 pages but each thought narrated from Steve’s perspective has meaning for mankind to understand and respect it.
I adored this book and will happily gush about it to whoever will listen. It is an enjoyable read for anyone and a must-read if you are a dog lover or an animal lover in general. I would rate this with 4.5 out of 5 stars
The book is named after the protagonist, Steve who is a dog and has to act his whole life just to meet his survival.
The whole story is narrated by Steve himself in a funny yet beautiful manner.
He and his nine siblings alongwith his mother Nina, use to live in the barn. Steve has never met his father and he believes that his father is a prince.
Steve gets adopted as a pet by the Smith family and is afterwards named as Rufus. Steve describes how the members of the Smith family are, how he is taken care of, especially his master, Harry who is a kind and loving boy. Steve loves being in Harry's company. Steve meets Bella, the neighborhood dog with whom he falls in love and they become friends eventually. At some places, Steve makes me laugh rolling on the floor and at some places, the things Steve says hit very deeply.
The way Steve says about humans deciding their futures breaks my heart which is the reality of the world today. The dogs are treated as actors from a circus. At some parts,we all can relate to Steve and the pain he goes through.
Reading this book was fun and painful as well. Steve is a hero for me, for us,for a thousands of readers like us!
The best part of this book is that it contains some super fantastic quotes❤and the saddest part is that it is a very short read of 21 pages, I finished it at a single sitting! I would like to appreciate the writer for he has done the best work with an innovative thinking and perception as well 😍!!
Some of the quotes, I liked are, •"What good is a comfortable life with food and shelter if you are not happy? Is it worth giving up on love for such a life?" •"After all, what is true love if not suffering and hardship?"
My rating:- It is worth a five-star read, so I will give it a 5/5⭐!!
Cute yet emotional, “Steve” is the story of a dog that goes by the same name. This book narrates the story of Steve from his own perspective as he grows from a little pup to an old dog.
Animatedly, Steve, through this story, gives us a peek into the world as seen and perceived from the perspective of a dog. From his birth to his adoption, from his friendship with Harry to his love interest, we get to experience it all along with Steve. There is a fascinating sentimental depth to the way of narration that gives this book an edge.
This is the first time I have read a story narrated from the perspective of an animal and I must say that I was intrigued. The story is heart-warming and yet heart-breaking at times when you really get yourself involved in the book.
It is a relatively short read of 21 pages which can be easily read in your time of leisure. The language is simple and the flow of narration is smooth throughout.
If you are looking for something light to pick up, you can go for this one.
What does a dog think when he is taken away from his family or is pet by a human? What does he call his human? Steve popularly known as Rufus is taken up by a rich family and believes in doing is job diligently but he falls in love with a neighbor and there starts the story. This book is from a point of view of a dog which made me read it and honestly speaking my expectations were set quite high. My first thought was how can you write so many things in just 21 pages. For my perspective of the book I would have loved to see more of his relationship with his humans and how he influenced their lives or how they all fit in as a family but the book was quite restricted to being a love story of a dog but here too they have included the human constraints of cast, creed and religion which was sort of funny though. The story presented is good and language is easy to follow and even 21 pages gives you an opportunity to learn and mark around 10 quotes in the book. So its an overall win win situation. You just need to find out or squeeze out half an hour to complete the book and it will be fun. Good for all categories of readers.
'Steve' is a short story focused on a dog with the same name who is adopted by Smith family, it depicts how his life changes after getting adopted and how he goes through ups and downs of his own life.
It is a story from a dogs perspective and i loved it, this was my first time reading a story from dog's perspective and it was equally rewarding as much as hopes I put in it.
Definitely recommended to everyone, a very short read of 21-22 pages.
With a captivating storyline and crisp Narrative, it's a quick, fast-paced story full of Drama and entertainment. What I loved most is the way he narrated. Pranav’s candid and quirky writing style makes it more fun.
It's A 22-page read full of entertainment and a journey to witness. Steve, will he become Prince like his father? Will he get his love? Will his fate be the same or will it change?
I did not want the story to end. I wanted to know what happens next. Pranav leaves readers with an element of curiosity when it comes to Steve’s fate.
Overall it's a fun, entertaining and refreshing read that you will love.
Written from a dog's perspective, Steve was a phenomenal read that traced the said dog's journey through life. It was an engaging read that kept me flipping pages. It was interesting to read from a novel narrative, one that we don't get to read often.
"What good is a comfortable life with food and shelter if you are not happy? Is it worth giving up on love for such a life?"
These days, keeping pet animals is just in vogue. People say pet animals have more feelings than we humans have so they don't even want kids. People get so attached to them that sometimes they forget to live their own life. I know they are friendly, loveable and caring but do you have any idea what they want?? What are their thoughts on how we are treating them?? I don't think so.
If you want to know, read this short yet thought provoking story which is a biography of a dog named Steve. He used to live with his brother and mother in a barn when one fine day,his fate changed. He was adopted by the Smith Family. Harry named him as Rufus. He loves spending time with his pet and even got him trained. Steve meets Bella a neighborhood dog with whom he falls in love. They wanted to mate but the future has different plans. Read this book to know more.
I love how Steve narrated his story which is painful and full of sarcasm. He express his thoughts and feelings which were making me sad because at some point he was correct. I Absolutely loved how the author has expressed the dog's feelings their love, life and emotions. Steve makes us understand that if they could talk then how they would have reacted in each situation which we humans make them go through.
The best lesson is that nothing is worthy and important if you aren't happy in your life. The narration is smooth and language is easy to understand. I will absolutely recommend this to everyone.
I absolutely love dogs and if given a choice I’d live with dogs all around me rather than humans because they’re way more empathetic and loving and above all they’re cute like a freakin’ dozen of babies put in one.
They’re loyal and giving and understand emotions in a way probably humans can’t and maybe that’s why they’re called a man’s best friend and sadly I can’t say vice-versa in this because at times I do wonder if we really deserve dogs!
I don’t intend to write an essay on dogs and thus I’ll stop here because I can really go on and on when it comes to these fur buddies.
Why this sudden burst of love and affection on dogs you ask? Well, that’s because this tiny little story is relatively about a dog aka Steve/Rufus.
It’s a story narrated right by Steve himself in the first person. It’s just 21 pages long so I won’t elaborate much upon the story and fairly just say that it’s a cute as well as a painful story about Steve’s journey right from the day he was born as a Labrador pup and chosen as a pet by a wealthy family until the day he gave up on life (not literally but figuratively) because he witnessed the ugly side of humans and how unlike dogs, we see our benefit in everything and act accordingly keeping aside an animal’s emotions just because they can’t speak in a language we understand.
It’s a nice little story; not the absolute best that I’ve read but definitely worth a try if you really love dogs. On a recommendation scale of 1-5, I would give this a 3.
Did you ever wonder what runs through the head of a dog? Well here there is this short story which takes you through the life of a dog with us in his brain describing us his life.
I never thought dogs were that wise like us but this made me realise that they are more wiser than humans and oh boy does it makes sense. So Steve is the dog who's like every other pup, ambitious and dreamy about his future but he know how it'll be when he gets into a family and have to take his responsibilities as in be cute and woof around and listen to its owners and get trained though they know what to do and when to do. I love how the author drew the comparision with humans and dogs and what we do everytime in the situation. Also i felt sad about the ending, it wasn't up to Steve to get the love of his live Bella a.k.a Emma. Now i feel bad about the mating of dogs and how we force them with the same breed and ignore their feelings and put our priorities for them first. And it's beautifully written and executed but yeah the message i got from this book is that, dogs are similar to us but more wiser and they have a life too and we need to really care for them when they give their whole life for us.
This book can be used like a very good bed time story for children. they'll absolutely love it except the A rated part of course. Loved it.
This is 4.25 for me Author- Pranav Rao Format- kindle Pages- 21!!!!
Heyya, pup and dog lovers where you all?? I think you must not miss a chance to read this book.
"We forgot our bonds of flesh and blood and were competing against each other without knowing the consequences of a victory. Not too different from you, don’t judge." ~Excerpts from this book.
Apt to the cover, the story is about Steve who was born along with 9 brothers and sisters to his mother, Nina.
So this is something like dogs Pov.
The story penned by "Pranav Rao", is of "Steve", who parts from his family after being adopted by rich Harry & his parents. He used to get training there to behave properly, obedient and all. Amidst all these things, he falls in love with Bella, his neighbor dog. Nah nah nah!!! It's not easy story .... the story is typical as they can't be together, bcoz they belong to different breeds. Curious, right, what will happen next.? Don't let you're curiosity down, grab a copy and give this short story a read!!
“What good is a comfortable life with food and shelter if you’re not happy? Is it worth giving up on love for such a life?” - Steve's line- such a heartfelt one na!!!
I liked how the author manage to keep the flow in story using Dog's pov and also keeping the humor alive using sarcastic sentences & words in between. Overall, a great short & a fun read!!!
•• INSIGHT: Steve a.k.a Rufus, he is an actor and well he is also a dog! Born to his mother Nina and having never met his father, Steve narrates his perspective of life and his vision of the humankind as seen from his eyes. Adopted by a well-to-do family, Steve oscillates between his emotions, sentiments and the humour that he brings along in his narration style. He finds a master in Harry, a friend in Bella (the next door dog) and gives us a taste of a lot of sarcasm, from his experiences with humans.
•• REVIEW: A quick read, Steve is quite an entertainer. It helps us retrospect as humans, shares a few laughs and also makes us feel one with the narrator. We realise how we look outside of ourselves and how if animals could talk, would feel about our actions. Quite hilarious at multiple junctions, Steve is definitely going to leave readers craving for more!
•• BEST QUOTE FROM THIS BOOK: “What good is a comfortable life with food and shelter if you are not happy?’
•• STRENGTH: The language is easy to read, narration is funny and hilarious
The book is about a dog and his desires, thoughts and everything else. The author does a great job with this book and deserves credit. This 21-page book of his has the power to make you emotional. In this book, Steve himself tells his story in a funny and beautiful way.
Steve is adopted by the Smith family as a pet and named Rufus. Steve describes his experience with the Smith and how he is cared for, especially his master, Harry, who is a kind and loving boy. Steve loves being in Harry's company. He also meets, falls in love with, and eventually becomes friends with his neighbor's dog, Bella. Steve wants to elope with Bella. Just like humans, dogs too have desires, emotions, love lives, emotions, friends, etc. In this story, a dog named Steve wants to achieve everything he wants, so he overcomes barriers. However trying to break them is not that simple. In this story, the darkest secrets of a dog's life are purely explained. The highlight of this story is how dogs are treated like circus performers and left to fend for themselves once they are older. At some point you start empathizing with the dog. It's a short and quick read, and I was able to finish the whole book in less than an hour. It was a great read overall. I do recommend it for an entertaining short read.
A unique book written with the perspective of a dog.
Basically its like an autobiography of a dog named Steve. He describes his life and everything about himself and how he sees world. How heended up being adopted in the family and how he fights with his fate. Finished this book in a single setting but digesting the potential of words was a tough task as each and every page has deep meaning.
Reading a book like this is like lurking into an animal's (dog) mind which was really amazing heart touching. This book is fictional autobiography for sure but at times fiction and reality got mixed up in my mind. The effort made by author is commendable. This would be the best fast paced masterpiece. The storyline is intriguing and each and every line was described perfectly.
Read this once and you will fall in love with the book and won't be disappointed even a bit. Totally worth the read. Highly recommended for everyone who ever adopted a pet or who love pets.
Steve by Pranav Rao is a story of dog named steve.
Steve gets adopted as a puppy by the Smith family and is afterwards named as Rufus.
This book is about the inner voice of the dog and the dog itself narrates his own life story . How and what they face and what they feel .
Like people, dogs also have their dreams, emotions, love, feelings, pals etc.
The Book contains only 21 pages basically this is a very short read . You can read the whole book in just an hour and i personally enjoyed this book. It's short that's the saddest part of the book 😌
Really wish that people read this book and definitely i recommend you to read this book if you are a pet lover
Now let's talk about cover of this book, cover of this book is very simple and beautiful and i like that and the language used in this book is very simple and lucid . Anyone can read this book easily . Totally beginner friendly.
Must read and share your views with me regarding this book 😃
Dogs are humans best friends and most loyal friends, they are adorable, lovable and the best pet one can have, this is what humans think about dogs, right? But what does dogs think about us, ever wondered looking at your pet dog what he must be thinking about right now. Pranav Rao through this sweet story tries to answer that.
The story revolves around Steve, a dog born in a barn and then sold out to a rich family who named him Rufus. The story throws light upon what Steve thinks when he is doing anything particular and it is not like he loves what he is doing but he has to do it because he needs that lifestyle and have a sweet bitter love story.
The book is about 21 pages, and is completely from a dog's point of view, quite impressive writing by Pranav Rao, I really loved the concept. The book was a sort of eye opener it made me realise that even us humans does things we don't like to maintain our lifestyles and in order often lose someone we love.
This book is for everyone, it's a short story and will take no more than 30 minutes or even less than that to finish it and it's so wholesome that you will love every bit of it. This is a must read.
Book name - Steve Written by - Pranav rao Rating-4/5
I was always fascinated to read the book on pets as they give solace and joy this falls under that category. This book is about the inner voice of the dog, the dog itself narrates his story of how he was born and how he was sold, and the things he comes accross in his life. What makes this book special is the concept of "love". Love has no barriers it can happen to anyone at any time. Being human doesn't mean you can control and dictate to your pets they too have feelings, and those feelings are perfectly blended in the form of words. Looking forward to reading more from this author. Language is simple and it's hardly a 10 mints read.
This book is a short story, i enjoyed the narration style of it. This story is different and gave fresh feel while reading. The story revolves in perspective of humans best friend Steve a dog. How dog sees the world, analyse surrounding and what they think. They’re loyal and understand emotions in a way humans do. Steve gets adopted as a pet by Smith family. After adopting they rename him to Rufus. Steve will explain the life after adoption, his new family, surroundings, how he accepted new changes happening around. Author did wrote an excellent book which will be remembered for long time. Good read.
Steve is an amazing book. Written from a dog's perspective, the book is both funny and at times painful. The way Steve, the dog sees the human world is fascinating to read. The book is really short and I wish it was longer. I would have loved to keep on reading about Steve. The best part of the book was the deep and meaningful quotes. The narration is just beautiful. Kudos to the author for having written such a unique book. Highly recommended to all pet lovers. The most important value the book imparts is that Love is everything. I am really amazed to see such a short book making such a huge impact.
A cute story of a dog or should I say an autobiography of a dog.
This sweet and short page turner was actually a full circle of dog's life explained in dog years.
The way they are treated and how they look at their humans. How every decision of their life is taken by their owners because they are speechless creatures. Why is inability to speak construed as a right to others to take your life decisions?
The author tried to creatively construct a satirical criticism towards society and its hoax!
This story is the life of an ambitious lovely Rufus, a lovely puppy of Harry Smith. Rufus was born in a farm and was called Steve (birth name). It was adopted by the Smith family and he got to live a life as it desired.
This tiny story touched me heart because Steve reached the position and lived a life what it has wished, just like many of us only later on we realise we had wished wrong. It may be just a dog's life but it is relatable because we also face the same pain that Steve faces. In simple tale the author explained the reality of life which is both fair and unfair.
The book is about the Title character, Steve - the dog who believed he could change his fate. The writer has portrayed the story beautifully from the perspective of a dog who has been brought by a boy as his pet. The emotions of the dog had been well portrayed in this beautiful short story. The story can be described as the journey of a dog from his birth to death going through various stages like humans. The romantic relationship Steve had with Bella was well portrayed. As love doesn't have any limits, Steve has to fight all the odds to win his love. Can he win it? Or will he lose her? Read out the story to find it.
Steve is a short story which deals with a dog's life from Infancy to dog years.Pun intended.Infact this story seems allegorical to many a people's life. Steve , born in a barnyard learns to act cute and smart , so that he can be adopted by some rich hooman child. And his wish comes true.He acts cutiepie and hooman family is in love with him..The family adopting him is rich and it is a golden spoon for Steve. But does the story end here ?Is this the whole purpose of life ? will love come to him ? or is this just a golden cage or is he a toy for the amusement of his new owners. Read the story from Dog's perspective regarding his life.? The language of the book is super simple and in fact the flow is quite lucid. The author , without any delay brings the core issue of the story and the so the interest in it remains till the end. It is a definite read which besides being a intersting story also makes one think of bigger philosophical questions of life without being preachy.
I was not at all an animal lover, but the pandemic actually brought about an enormous change and one such change was falling for animals. Surrounded by dogs in my locality and dealing with them made me realise that it's true that a dog is a human's most faithful friend. I loved this short and illustrative read sharing about a dog's perspective and it's efforts for survival. Beautifully narrated with instances that seemed relatable to me. I actually loved it ❤️
I am literally amazed by the presentation skills in a mere few pages about a dog's point of view. This book is a contrasting take on dog’s life decisions, possessed by us - the humans!
Story revolves around a dog, Steve, and his perpetual experiences. Narration is also done by Steve, which makes his apologue more interesting and impactful. He has curated a mixed version of human relationship and his cognition.
While reading at first, I was quite dodgy about the generous fact of this genre, as there are already many out there like Dog’s Purpose, Jonathan unleashed etc. But this story has something different to hit the audience quickly. How an abandoned bastard dog is kept in shelters, how fate is responsible for the chosen families, how they have to adapt to the new home and its culture, how they experience new things beyond their expertise, how predefined destinies bind them in stereotypes, and how after everything, they have to encircle the same cycle all along. The story also shows many factors of perceptions and conclusions on the same content.
Author did a fantastic job in balancing a distinct moral with humorous flavors. Also, the book is very short and can be finished in one sitting. So, give it a try and relive the virtual life of a dog.
Ever wondered how life might be for a dog? Steve is a short story of 20 pages, seen from the perspective of a pet dog. He was bought from a barn by a wealthy family as a companion for their child Harry. Even though he lives in luxury, his thoughts remain with the father he never met and the family he was separated from.
Steve is not the fun, light read you might think it is. Steve is given the name Rufus by his family, which he doesn't really like. The story makes many comments on human life and kind of pessimistic philosophical quotes. I found Steve's tone to be rude at many places but that is my personal opinion. He thinks of life with humans as boring but goes along with it anyway.
One main message that is shown in this story is how humans control the lives of animals even though we have no right to.
I am a sister to a pet dog and a lovely cat, who sadly passed away three days ago. In times of sadness, their existence has provide me with much warmth and comfort and the passing away of my beloved chonk has left me bereft, with grief as my only companion at the moment.
I remember picking up this book, pictured in the post, one warm afternoon while my floofy chonk was fast asleep right beside me. I remember reading it and I remember how it left me with some sadness and other emotions, after I completed it.
Steve is a story of a dog. A dog who opened his eyes and found himself to be in a breeding house, only to be sold away. Steve's mind is hardened with the notion that the world is a tough place. So, he prepares himself for the day when he will be adopted by the perfect family.
What strikes me hard is that, humans of this current generation goe through something similar like this. We fight, we prepare ourselves to gain a permanent foothold all our lives. Work and grind and forget that we were children once and our innocence lost to the rat race.
Steve is adopted by a wealthy family. He gets to become the prince charming he always believed he could be. He meets a female dog and they instantly take liking to each other but life is unpredictable and what happens is for you to find out.
This book leaves you pondering that even when bad things happen to humans or animals alike, we still find our ways to live with it or around it, make something out of the life we are given.
This book also promptly makes you feel the tragedy that permeates through the animal breeding houses. This book makes you understand- there's a greater joy in adopting rather shopping one.
A short poignant read. If you have even been a mother or sister or brother or a father to any floofs, you should read it.
This review is very special and very unique because this review is one of a kind for me as well as for you all to read.
Have you ever read an autobiography of any animal?? Have you ever thought of something from an animal's perspective?? Sounds strange, isn't it???
Nobody ever imagines anything keeping any animal in mind. But the author here has written a whole book from the perspective of a dog named Steve. Yes, you read it correctly. The story is the autobiography of a dog named Steve, his mental notes, his views, and his whole life. The story is narrated by Steve himself most adorably.
Steve is born to Nina, with his 9 siblings in a barn. He never met his father, but he believes that his father is a prince.
One day a rich family adopted Steve and named him Rufus. After adaptation, the story will take a different turn and Steve will describe to you how the family was, who all were there, and what was the nature of the family. What all he did do over there. His perspective towards humans, their ideology, their strange language, and their sexual preferences( at this point you will read a hilarious incident that happened with Steve, and how he narrated it was the funniest part of the story). You will also read about Steve's love story, his struggle, his sacrifice, and his dilemma.
There is also the emotional part where you can feel the helplessness of an animal when humans take decisions for their life. Which sometimes ruin their life but the poor animals cannot do anything.
The author has brilliantly put the words on the paper, which will give you an amazing experience of knowing a dog and his way of loving. Also, the quotes used are apt and fantastic.
It's a short story but it will make a place in your heart for sure. A great read👍
𝗦𝘆𝗻𝗼𝗽𝘀𝗶𝘀 : Steve is an adorable dog. After his birth he has to go through a tough training session to become smart and obedient so that he can go to a good family. As usual a few days later he is adopted by a rich family and he leaves his mother and siblings. Since he always dreamed of being a prince it suited him. He also acquires some strange knowledge about humans. In the midst of all this he falls in love with his neighbour dog Bella. She also loves him but they know that they can't be together because they are not of the same breed. So what happens next? Will they ever be happy together? How will Steve cope with this daily worry and depression if they can't be together? Will he ever be happy again?
𝗠𝘆 𝗧𝗵𝗼𝘂𝗴𝗵𝘁𝘀 :▪️Have you ever wondered how your pet feels every day? Or maybe he's doing these funny things just to make you feel better but he's actually feeling low. In our daily life as we have smiles on our faces and deep wounds in our hearts? This short story will make you think about these things and change your perspective towards your pets.
▪️It was simple, short but thought-provoking. Steve and Bella's character were portrayed perfectly.
▪️I really liked the author's different point of view and the way he compared the lives of humans with dogs was very admirable. From his perspective they are not so different than us, they also experience pressure, stress and depression.
So, if you love reading books about animals or want to read a different but impactful short story, read this one, I promise you won't be disappointed.
STEVE by PRANAV RAO, is a story about a dog that narrates its story by itself. Have you ever wondered what might be the dog's viewpoint on life? or What they feel or think? Dogs might be the favourite pet of many of us. Right? But have you thought of these things?
Here is a story about dog STEVE that expresses its thoughts and feelings about its life beautifully and humorously. Steve was a Labrador pup that lived happily with his mom and nine siblings. One day it was adopted by a prosperous suburban family. The dog was treated like a live toy by Harry. Steve was supposed to make him happy by bowghing and wawghing. Steve was trained well in various techniques and some circus tricks.
Steve's friendship with Harry and his love towards Bella seems interesting in the story as it is quirky with respect to dogs. A story where it describes how humans treat dogs and behave with them feels depressing. Being a pet was treated as a job by Steve and he ought to act according to his boss. That is when his love life ended as Bella was of a different breed.
"What good is a comfortable life with food and shelter if you're not happy? Is it worth giving up on love for such a life?" A beautiful quote from the book that speaks many things.
The harsh behaviour of humans makes Steve feel lifeless. Such is life, fair and unfair!
Reading this short story on dogs which is hardly 21 pages made me realise that animals too have emotions that they cannot express. A book filled with fun and emotions will definitely touch your heart.
