Celine Harris’ inheritance hinged on one tiny detail. She needed to marry. Her father will do anything to get access to that money, include marrying her off to the highest bidder. She didn’t expect the shifter she’d been secretly crushing on to step up…
Mason Knight was building an empire. That took time, and nearly all his effort. He didn’t have time for dating, nevermind marriage. But…it’s Celine and he nor his panther wanted to let her slip through his fingers.
Celine thought she could breath easier with Mason coming to her rescue, but money and family never mixed…and she was about to find out the hard way.

“You’re mine ya dig! Beneath these suits I wear to work, I’m the animal my father raised us to be and I’ll fk anyone up behind you”
Why didn’t I know this gem was floating out there in the book world! I didn’t even mind that Myles was the male narrator and if you know me you KNOW how I feel about that man! I didn’t realize I loved me some shifters until KC Mills and after this I think I’m about that wolf life!!! I’m trying to get hunched on until I have only feelings and no thoughts like Celine 😈
Celine is set to pretty much inherit her family’s life entire wealth and the only things standing in her way is marriage! Her father is ready to sell her off to the highest bidder while Celine is ready to walk away from the money as long as she can continue to live a peace life on her farm! She had no idea that her childhood crush and literal Knight in shining armor Mason Knight would come in a save the day in every way imaginable!
This was such a swoon worthy listen and my fav Eboni Flowers definitely brought this book to life! I’m so glad that I have more brothers to indulge in and cannot wait to dive into Silas’ book!
✧˚ ༘ ⋆。♡˚ SHIFTERS GET AN ARRANGED MARRIAGE FOR AN INHERITANCE
Thank you to Shon who was reading this book on her timeline and when I saw it was an arranged marriage, I instantly got it. Let me tell you that I do NOT regret this decision at all. If you want an amazing romance about panther shifters whose family arrange them to be married but instead they fall madly in love, grab this book immediately.
YES, it's a shifter romance. Celine and Mason both live in this society, community, where shifters exist. There's also high society and I would say that these two's families are in high society; they're rich!!! Especially Mason's family. They go to fancy parties and such, but neither of them really like them, so that's why they bond and become "friends" before the start of the story.
So when Mason finds out Celine's father is basically selling her to the highest bidder so she gets her inheritance, Mason tells his dad that he'll marry her asap. He has been wanting her for so long plus he doesn't want for her to go through that. HE CARES FOR HER SO MUCH IT'S INSANE I LOVE THEM TOO MUCH. Mason is so soft and caring to her and he LISTENS AND COMMUNICATES!! Like when they have any issues he's like "ok talk let me know what it's bothering you and we will resolve it" and it's so good, yall.
There's also some mystery/suspense plot going around because Celine is getting ambushed and someone is trying to k word her... so there's some danger in the story as well. Mason is so very protective of her to the boneeee. It's so nice and sweet to see this because Celine has never had that kind of love in her life, her mother and father are horrible people and have always used her in a way. So to have this man who she doesn't share blood or knows him really that deeply, to care for her since day one, it's something she has never experienced and feels kinda surreal to her at first. But Mason is here to show her that she can always expect this treatment! I also adore that his family welcomes her so easily and she's now a Knight through and through⋆˙⟡♡
I'm intrigued about book two after that second epilogue!!! What's going to happen nexttttt
Celine has recently become the sole heir to her grandfather’s wealth and is being forced by her father to marry so that she can receive the inheritance. She never guessed that the man of her dreams would be the guy she marries! Mason couldn’t play it cool, as soon as his dad mentioned her getting married he felt something. The drama from Celine’s family was a lot but it really didn’t matter cause Mason was ready to eliminate them all for her! This was a true marriage of convenience, and they already liked each other. If you ask Mason he believes his panther knew before him. Also the shifter situation was one of the coolest elements to this book and I’m excited to read more from this author!
Baby MASON was Big Cat! Big Panther! Dria Andersen YOU BETTER WRITE YOUR BOOK MA’AM!! I turned this book every way but loose.
Dria just caught me from the beginning and didn’t let up. I love vampires but damnit i think i need a shapeshifting panther in my life. The story flowed so well even with it being more towards the fast pace side. The bond between the Celine and Mason was very much present and grew. Storyline line was amazing. Had me feeling all the feels from wanting to slap Celine’s parents, to smitten with the mcs and excited when they handled business.
Also in the short story with Dallas and Adina. Both of them are BIG DAWGS. Adina is that woman and them sons get it from their daddy.
The spice was pressure. The action scenes gave movie and when they talked their ish i had goosebumps. Most importantly i loved how Dria showed the communication and bonds between these two couples. How they worked together and listened to one another. Like come on now. Write your book!! I need your whole catalog.
Highlights from To Her Rescue & Short Story: -Mason didn’t play about Celine. -Celine may be shy as a front because she’s a big stepper. -Loved the way Mason family took Celine as theirs. -Dallas got that thang. -“I couldn’t let some asshole have you. You’re mine. To hold, to love on, to devour.” -“Beneath the suits i wear to work, I’m the animal my father raised us to be, and I’ll fuck anyone up behind you.” -“Now, Mase. Aunt but so long ima sit here with a threat hanging over you. You want to handle it, gone and do that, because if i do, I’ll paint blood all over this shit.” -“Leave and don’t come back until you learn to talk to my wife like you got some sense.” -“I want everyone involved in the hit, out I’m taking out the whole family.” -“Cyrus, i will drag you across this fucking council room if you don’t sit the fuck back and mine your business.” -“Not you came in here and hoed me, ma.”
To Her Rescue (Knight Brothers #1) by Dria Andersen is about panthers Celine Harris and Mason Knight. Celine’s grandfather leaves everything to her in his will after he passes with the clause that she is to be married to inherit it. Her ruthless father is trying to sell her off to the highest bidder to get access to her money when Mason steps in as her Knight in shining armour 😉 Mason and Celine usually hangout at social events, Mason has been feeling Celine for awhile but business obligations have delayed him from making a move despite his panther’s urging! Mason and Celine have lots of chemistry; watching them try to hold off until the wedding is peak sexual tension 🔥🔥 I love Mason’s hood edge, he’s so protective of Celine. Papa Dallas Knight is a real one and he raised his boys right!! They don’t play about their family unfortunately the same can’t be said for Celine’s family 😒 They are horrible! This is a great read, sexy panther shifters, family drama & marriage of convenience, you can’t go wrong!!
Your grandfather passes on & he leaves you everything, which brings new demons out of your already trash parents & their family! In order for your parents to get what they want out of the tragedy, they must marry you off 🤔 … little do they know your new husband will be their downfall!
Mason Knight & Celine’s Harris 👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾! I loved their story! Mason was A VIBEEEEEEEEE & the way he STEPPED behind Celine, tuhhhh!
I loved Mason’s family (ESPECIALLY DALLAS KNIGHT) & how they treated Celine, because her family sure was trash ESPECIALLY her good for nothing parents Virgil & Veronica. This was a very good story, & I can’t wait to dive into Sila’s story!
I am not normally a paranormal reader, however, I enjoyed this book. I listened to the audio version through Everand and the narrators were amazing. Mason and Celine were in an arranged marriage that they both wanted just under different circumstances. Celine comes from the rudest family! I am still reeling in anger from hour horrible they treated her. Thank Goodness she had Mason and his family. Mason didn’t play about his Lovebug. He was going to war with whoever about her and I was here for it. She needed someone to save her and protect her from all the bull sugar she had to deal with.
This was my first shifter romance and it was really good and wholesome. I loved how Mason didn't play about love bug from the very beginning. I am looking forward to the rest of the series!
Listen this book was so good I could not put it down so I finished this in one sitting. Mason…Mason…Mason…the way that man agreed to marry Celine with little to no thought let me see how he was going to be with her. From their first interaction I could feel the chemistry between these two. The fact that they already knew each other and was secretly pining after each other made the story even better. I loved Celine’s shy introverted personality but baebay when anyone messed with Mason or threatened to take him from her sis let her Panther show and got real aggressive, she was not at all playing over that man. Celine’s family was out here doing the most for that money, I didn’t feel bad for anything that happened to them in the end.
Mason was so possessive but with a loving/caring approach and whew he was so affectionate with Celine, he did not care where he was he was going to show his woman affection. I loved that Mason had a little hood in him too, bro was nice and caring but mess with Celine and bro was gonna show you just how he got down. I also loved how Mason’s family took to Celine, his brother and father were just as protective of her as they were of Mason and even bonded with her in their own way. I’m not into older men but ummm Daddy Knight (Dallas) had me thinking I needed to reconsider my position on that because that man was 🔥 whew. I can’t wait to see where Dria takes Silas’ story, I can see already we are going to be in for a ride based off how this booked ended.
I enjoyed the progression of Celine and Mason’s relationship, I could feel their chemistry dripping from the pages and it was 🔥 reading about them trying to hold of till their wedding. This was my first shifter romance and I am now hooked. I am a lover of all things paranormal so whenever I see an author that gives paranormal black romance I jump on it and after I saw what this book was about I immediately went to amazon to download this ebook. This was a new to me author whose catalog I will be reading through very soon because I am hooked.
ARC copy. I read the arc because I had already planned on reading this immediately upon release. I love these shifters because they’re so low angst but they still have lots of on page conversations and relationship building. I also love reading about Black shifters. I’m intrigued for the next book and whether the mother of the baby will be the love interest. Steam, low angst, leaning into the mating bond, great family. CW for her family being verbally abusive and absolutely the worst. But I loved how protective and possessive he was of her, and she of him. He was more than ready to go to war with her family or anyone else for her. You have a very shy, quiet heroine, coming into her own because she has someone in her corner.
Well, this was just delightful and tender and sexy and hot. What starts off as an arranged marriage between Celine and Mason quickly turns to passion and then love. I haaaaated Celine’s family - they were the WORST. I loved how fiercely protective and nurturing Mason was and how loving his family was with Celine. Such a quick, fun shifter romance. Really want Silas’ story soon.
CW: violence, gun violence, destruction of property, toxic family, toxic parents, fat shaming, hired hit on FMC
So this book is the first book in the series but for parts of it I thought I was reading book 3 of a series and was supposed to know this specific shifter world. Regardless this was a solid read & I'm definitely reading the rest of the series.
I thoroughly enjoyed this reading experience. Ms. Andersen is a great writer. I was vested from the very beginning. She was able to hold my attention from start to finish. I loved the characters. Mason is definitely book bae! I love how he was so protective of Celine and didn’t play any games with her or about her. The love scenes were 🔥 🔥🔥.
A marriage of convenience turns into the discovery of a mate bond. Celine grew and changed throughout the story. Her strength shone through when she needed it most. Mason was captivated by Celine and it suited him. They were amazing together.
This is a new-to-me #arthur and a genre I seldom read and I enjoyed it. Shapeshifters + $50M inheritance + shady family members + sort of fairytale romance = unexpected good time. While I think this is a book I’d reread, I’m not in a hurry to read book 2.
My first read Adria Andersen and I’m intrigued. I liked the story and enjoyed the main characters. I would’ve love to see more development done around the shifting
This had had the potential for a lot more from my perspective! While it ended up better than I thought, it took me a minute to get into it. I feel more world building was needed. This is the first book in the series and it makes some assumptions that I felt needed more explanation. I’ve read hundreds of shifter books, for some reason it’s my favorite genre, but this is my first with urban characters!! I totally loved it, but it was light on the shifter part. It needed more information about the power structure/hierarchy, more explanation about her family’s unwillingness to stay close to their animals and how it impacted her. I would like to know more about how his dad came to be a council member and what specifically is the council responsible for and what is the Motsi event/situation. Also, the narrators did well overall, but when the male attempted to speak as the female it was tragic!!! I’m looking forward to Silas’ story!!!
Intriguing premise + shifter world, but I didn't vibe with the romance or writing style.
- The most interesting part for me was the shifter/panther concept. It all felt a bit abstract, especially because metaphors were often mixed in with descriptions of the panther, so I was never really sure what exactly was happening internally vs. externally, but I liked how it was just an accepted part of this world. - The characters weren't super fleshed out, but I liked the growth we did see from both Celine and Mason. - The romance pacing was weird. Celine and Mason have a history already by the time the book starts, and they're clearly into each other from the beginning of the story, so it felt like there weren't any stakes in their relationship. (Most of the conflict was external, which is fine, but unfortunately, I ended up getting bored of the romance. Also, tooooo many nicknames!) - There were a lot of summaries throughout the book instead of letting us see things happen, especially with romance development. For example: “They ate and got to know each other, and Mason was reminded of how much he liked her. They would be a good match, and he looked forward to marrying her.” What were they talking about? I want to get to know them too! - The writing style just wasn't for me. Also, a contender for the worst final line ever: (spoiler I guess but it's vague) “He looked forward to their life together.” ??? pls
Title: To Her Rescue Series: The Knight Brothers # in series: 1 Author: Dri Andersen Genre: Paranormal Romance Tropes/Keywords: Friends to lovers, Plus size heroine, Protective Hero, Fated Mates, Marriage Of Convenience, Shifter Rep: Black author and MCs Pages: 185 Steam: Open Door Spice: 🌶🌶/5 Star Rating: ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️/5
Review: Black love friends to lovers paranormal romance with panther shifters. The FMC Celine is left the entirety of her grandfather’s money and businesses in his will to her controlling family's dismay. The catch is that she has to be married to collect. All that she wants is to be left alone on her herbal farm, but her father is forcing her to marry a man of his choosing, basically someone he can control. Enter Mason Knight, son of shifter leader Dallas Knight, he and Celine are actually good friends that spend time with each other at shifter functions. When he learns of her need to marry, he volunteers because he cannot stand the idea of her being sold off to another man. They are super cute together and Mason just wants Celine to be happy and protected. There is the drama with her family but this is a low angst romance with no 3rd act break-up . . . . . . CW/TW: FMC has controlling and verbally abusive parents, death threats, guns/shoot out
Quotes:
“I couldn’t let some *sshole have you. You’re mine. To hold, to love on, to devour,”
She turned and saw him and her face suffused with joy. It clenched his heart.
“‘That pouting shit don’t move me,’” she said in a deep voice, mocking him. He laughed. Gods, he loved this silly woman. His heart started racing as he realized where his thoughts went.
“Mine,” she whispered, rolling her hips to take him deeper. “That’s right, claim that sh*t, love bug.”
I love paranormal stories and the marriage of convenience trope, so I knew I was reading this book. This is my first book by Dria Andersen and it’s a solid introduction to her writing style and storytelling abilities. Celine’s grandfather passed leaving her everything, but it comes with a condition that Celine must get married. Celine’s father’s, eager to gain access to her money, basically pawned her off. That’s where fine ass Mason came in. Mason, knowing that he wanted Celine and the alliance that their marriage will bring was all in. I must say that Dria can write romance. I absolutely loved the way Mason stepped in and immediately protected and cherished Celine. The attraction and respect is palpable with this couple and I love how they built on the friendship they shared. Celine’s family is garbage juice. This story is an example of the saying “The love of money is the root of all evil”. The way they harassed and disrespected her had my blood boiling. Thankfully, Mason’s family accepted her into their fold and showed how a true family should act. Daddy Knight though? He the one I want. He has grillz and a temper to match it. Where do i sign up? With that being said, I would’ve love for the author to explore more of the paranormal Elements of this story. I just didn’t get enough of the characters in their panther form. To me, it didn’t feel like a paranormal story because all of the action happened in their human form. Plus, it would’ve been great to see Celine become more accepting of her panther on page. Overall, it is a good read and introduction to this authors work. I’m excited to dive more into the world of Dria Andersen.
