A Scandal in Bohemia

At quarter to eight tonight, a gentleman will call. He would like to ask you about a very important matter. Do not think it odd if your visitor wears a mask.

When Sherlock Holmes is asked for help by a powerful yet dim king, it seems that he cannot refuse. But the detective has no idea that this case will bring him up against a woman just as clever, cunning and quick as he is. Has Holmes finally met his match?

I thought that this was a great retelling of Sir Arthur Conan Doyle's Sherlock Holmes tale - A Scandal in Bohemia. They have really managed to cover the story well in a select number of pages. I would hope that this book would be used for children to read the full version at a later date having been tempted to find out more, or pick up the fill copy of the book when they are a little older. The story was well written and it was easy to read and understand. I liked the illustrations that were used to bring the book to life. I really enjoyed this one and it certainly made me smile with the ending! It is 5 stars from me for this one - very highly recommended!
