இவை கவிதையின் விளிம்பில் நின்றிருக்கும் கதைகள். கவிதைக்குரிய சொல்லி முடிக்காத தன்மை, உருவாகாத உணர்வுகளாக நின்றிருக்கும் தன்மை, சொல்லாட்சிகள் வழியாக மட்டுமே தொடர்புறுத்தும் தன்மை ஆகியவை கொண்டவை இக்கதைகள். அவ்வகையில் தமிழில் புதுமைப்பித்தனில் இருந்து தொடங்கும் ஒரு நுண்ணிய மரபில் இணைபவை.
ஆகவே உணர்வெழுச்சிகளை, வாழ்க்கையின் முழுச்சித்திரங்களை இக்கதைகள் காட்டுவதில்லை. புன்னகைக்க வைக்கும், கற்பனை விரியச்செய்யும், வாழ்க்கையின் முழுமை நோக்கிய பார்வை ஒன்றை அளிக்கும் ஒரு தருணம், அல்லது உளநிலை மட்டுமே இவற்றில் வெளிப்படுகிறது.

He entered the world of Tamil literature in the 1990s, Jeyamohan has had impacted the Tamil literary landscape as it emerged from the post-modern phase. His best-known and critically acclaimed work is Vishnupuram, a deeply layered fantasy set as a quest through various schools of Indian philosophy and mythology. His other well-known novels include Rubber, Pin Thodarum Nizhalin Kural, Kanyakumari, Kaadu, Pani Manithan, Eazhaam Ulagam, and Kotravai. His writing is heavily influenced by the works of humanitarian thinkers Leo Tolstoy and Mohandas Karamchand Gandhi. Drawing on the strength of his life experiences and extensive travel around India, Jeyamohan is able to re-examine and interpret the essence of India's rich literary and classical traditions.

May be three and half stars.
Some of the stories were very haunting and some of them were very ordinary.
These stories talk about something of the other world (super-nature). As I said earlier, some of them came out very well. Some looked very ordinary and dull.
I personally liked the following stories: MUDHALAAMAN, AMUTHAM, KAZHU MAADAN & PEEDAM.

பத்து சிறுகதைகள் அடங்கிய இத்தொகுப்பில் முதலாமன், அமுதம், கழுமாடன், பீடம், சாவி, வண்ணம் ஆகிய ஆறு கதைகள் எனக்கு மிகவும் பிடித்திருந்தது.
