CLAMP originally began in 1989 as a twelve-member dōjinshi circle, but by 1990, the circle had diminished from twelve to seven. Of the remaining seven, Tamayo Akiyama, Sei Nanao, and Leeza Sei left the group during the production of the RG Veda manga. Other former members of CLAMP also included Soushi Hishika, O-Kyon, Kazue Nakamori, Yuzuru Inoue and Shinya Ōmi. Currently, there are four members in the group.

In 2004, CLAMP's 15th anniversary as a mangaka group, the members changed their names from Nanase Ohkawa, Mokona Apapa, Mick Nekoi, and Satsuki Igarashi to Ageha Ohkawa, Mokona, Tsubaki Nekoi and Satsuki Igarashi (her name is pronounced the same, but written with different characters) respectively. The August 2004 issue of Newtype USA, a magazine specializing in events of the anime and manga subcultures, reported that the members of CLAMP simply wanted to try out new names. In a later interview with Ohkawa, it was revealed that initially Mokona wanted to drop her surname because it sounded too immature for her liking, while Nekoi disliked people commenting that her name was the same as Mick Jagger's. Ohkawa and Igarashi, wanting to go with the flow of Nekoi's and Mokona's name changes, changed their names as well.

In 2006, they made their first USA public debut at Anime Expo in Anaheim, California. They were well received at the convention, with 6,000 fans in attendance at their panel.

I... I feel frustrated. Yet another volume with the story about Alice in Clockland.
I know everything we've been given until now are clues for us to guess what will happen, my theory. The thing is that it's been dragged for so long!
I'm tired of Akiho doing nothing, like we know she has an important role in this mystery but so far she's done nothing.
Syaoran and Tomoyo are barely there and Kero and Spynel just ask questions... only at the end Kero said something but it hasn't been like this since some time ago. It's basically only Sakura doing all the actions, it makes sense since she's the protagonist, but it lacks something. On the first series it was a combination of so many things! This new series on the other hand feels kind of like a stretch.

4,5/5 estrellas

I ran out of books and I have so many questions and so many months to wait until the next novel. It's so frustrating! I need more answers!!!!

Sakura now knows it's Kaito, but they got distracted with a play which is very similar to what is going on with Sakura and Akiho right now. I'm just wondering what Kaito's plan is exactly. Poor Mirror card is still kidnapped, I'm so worried about her and I want her returned to Sakura and Syaoran right away.

And well, now Sakura is saying it's Akiho under the cloak, but she doesn't know if her dreams are true or false (which what is up with that card, what kind of magic is that?). But I digress, there's so much happening and I need answers without having to wait for months, but that's just what I'm going to have to do.

Maybe they'll continue on with the Anime once they know where the story is going....I am curious how many novels there's going to be because I don't know how much longer I can wait!

I just read that the 15th novel will be the last, but I'm not sure how they can possibly wrap all this up with only three novels left to go. I'm so anxious, I hope everything works out okay for Sakura and her friends.

Part of me wishes the pacing would pick up, but that would bring the end closer. 😕 This volume seems to retread stuff we already know and slice of life things we already know, likely in an effort to nail down the effects of time magic. But it's really not necessary at this point. And in trying to figure out my conflicting feelings on this - between loving Clamp's impeccable art and the adorablity factor inherent to anything Cardcaptor Sakura - I came up with a new theory that ties into the seeming psychicness with Sakura's friend. Perhaps it's a side effect of time magic bleeding into reality? Whatever it is, it's something new at last.

False alarm, Sakura is NOT yet powerful enough to withstand Kaito's time magic. She is just very clever and very lucky. Still, it doesn't feel like Kaito is a real threat... I think he's doing all of this to somehow give Akiho a better life, even at the expense of his own.

Man, it is so refreshing to see characters actually take the time to stop and talk and catch each other up on what's happening. It avoids so many miscommunications later. So, yes, I loved seeing Sakura take the time to call Syaoran to her house and tell him everything, even the things she was uncertain were true. They are a united front against all problems, especially Kaito. (The meeting of the 'stuffie brigade' including Momo was adorable too!)

Do you think everything is going to come to a head during the play about the Twin Alices? I have a bad feeling that Kaito is going to switch places between Akiho and Sakura and rewind time to redo Akiho's childhood. However, if Tsubasa has taught me anything, it's that time magic has an incredible (terrible) price... 3/5

Yes! Finally, some real progress in the story, no more constant memory erasing or time rewinding that leaves everyone back at square one. Sakura is starting to fight back and trust herself more, which makes things so much more engaging than when she was just completely unaware of everything happening around her.
It’s also satisfying to see more characters actively talking and sharing what they know, like the guardians, Syaoran, and others. And I’m actually starting to get intrigued by the "two Alices" play. It’s finally sounding like it has real meaning in the story, not just symbolic filler.

Sakura finally discover’s Yuna D. Kaito’s secret, and finally gets to talk to Syaoran/Kero/Spinney about it, thank goodness. She decides to trust herself and wait for Akiho to talk to her about it, and they continue on to start preparing for The Twin Alice’s play. Nothing is a coincidence in this series, and it’s been very cool discovering that. Another cliffhanger, another couple of months waiting for the newest volume.

One of the better installments in this series, which sometimes has the tendency to be unnecessarily obtuse. Like, I understand we're building towards a climax, and that information is revealed in bursts, but sometimes Clear Card feels like it's stretched out more than it needs to be. I'm also kinda over Sakura being this character that everyone loves and being told how powerful she is all the time, etc. Maybe I've just outgrown it overall, but I did enjoy this volume.

well, we got more hints about Alice in Clockland but nothing much so far, I feel like the ends should be near, but with it just dragging I don't know anymore. I do know this play they are doing is probably gonna play a big part in it. Akiho tho, knows absolutely nothing yet. I wonder how that is gonna go when Kaito breaks down. Cannot wait for that to happen. I just want Sakura to be happy and protect her loved ones, even if Akiho doesn't get what she wants.

While every chapter is talking about Alice in Wonderland now, I can deal with it because the other parts are so interesting. There's a sweet exchange between Sakura and Toya that reminds me of my older brother and I. I really hope when this arc is over, Clamp continues with Sakura and Syaoran in the 8th grade with more challenges. Maybe a bit more Toya too.

I felt like the series was going at a good clip until this volume, then it felt like there was so much rehashing and a focus on the play preparation that I felt annoyed a couple of times. The quality of the art remains consistent and I've love to see the anime to see if it feels less slow, but this slowly down really surprised me. At the same time, I wanted to see Yue more!

The plot continues to move at a glacial pace, but at least it feels like it's actually moving for a change. It's literally one step forward, one step back thanks to Yuna D. Kaito's time magic, but we're finally getting glimpses of something much bigger at play. And the art's still lovely.

This volume really was like a lot of the other volumes nothing new really happened in this one. There was lots of talk about the play but there wasnt much action or plot to this volume. It did however drop another cliff hanger there at the end.

Can this move along already? I’m so over this ‘Alice in Clockland’ storyline. I know this is all part of some big mystery but I’m ready for the big reveal. I’m ready for all the little threads to come together and make the blanket they’ve been weaving.

First off, the bad. If you're reading this as of posting date, the next volume hasn't been translated yet. Japanese only, for now. Other than that, Sakura is showing her power, and Toya, was a surprise. Overall, great volume.
