It was a simple job. Find the girl. Bring her home to her father and my slate’s clean. No more jobs. No more running from the Roth family.

I started reading Shey Stahl’s books back in 2013, and she quickly became a go-to author for me. Then I hit a reading slump, and somewhere along the way I forgot just how much I loved her writing. I’m so thankful Shey gave me an ARC of Sin For Sin because this book reminded me exactly why I fell in love with her stories in the first place.

She absolutely nailed the voice of a 15-year-old boy in Cedar, it felt raw, real, and completely believable. And Enzo? I loved him. He had me laughing so many times with his comments, but he’s also loyal, hot, dark, obsessive, and fiercely protective in that way that makes you completely obsessed with his character.

Mazy went through so much, and watching her fight through everything with strength and resilience made me love her even more. She’s the kind of heroine you root for from beginning to end.

This story delivers mafia ties, forbidden love, and nonstop action that keeps you on edge, always needing to know what happens next. There were even moments where I kept hearing that TikTok sound in my head “Yep, that’s me… you’re probably wondering how I got here” and it was almost always Enzo in some chaotic situation.

And this quote? I loved it:

“Do you know the difference between a hero and a villain?
The hero will lose the girl to save the world.
The villain— he’ll burn the world down to keep her alive.”

So good. I’m really glad this book brought me back to Shey’s writing, and now I’m already wanting more.

Beautiful, Tragic and Addicting.

To say Shey Stahl is absolutely one of my all time favorite authors is an undeniable truth. Enzo and Mazy’s story comes from being born in a ruthless world with little to no hope. In spite of it all, they find and fight for each other and the love they desperately desire. It is heartbreakingly beautiful and terrifying at times. Enzo’s heart for Mazy and love for Cedar was endearing. I laughed at times. Cried at others and the spice..Lord help me. Thanks Shey for this unexpectedly great story. Mafia romance at it’s finest with your amazing words♥️🔥♥️

Once again Shey gave us a 5 star read! She is always my one clic author no need to sample as always a well written story! I absolutely love the humor she puts in her books. Enzo and Cedar had me laughing out loud looking like I was crazy. This book is a darker romance from what she usually writes but you won't be disappointed! Definitely hoping for a sequel for Cedar!

I don’t usually like dark romances, or mafia romance. However, I got an ARC for this one and I like this author so I gave it a try.
The story is engaging without predictable cliffhangers, and spicy without being gratuitous. Highly recommend!

Mazy and Enzo’s story is one dark, twisted roller coaster ride. This story is the kind of ride that drags you into the dark and makes you root for the devil anyway. An awesome read!!
