Serpenti High isn't your average high school. Some call it a school, others call it a prison. You'll find the most dangerous teenagers within its walls. The concept of the Ranking System is eat or get eaten. Only the fittest will survive. There are no rules to protect you, no adults that care, nothing that will ensure your safety or wellbeing. What happens when Axis is thrown into the cruel and merciless system? Will he fall on his knees and become a victim? Or will he climb up the ranks and make it to the top? And what happens when he meets someone he never expected to see again? Axis may have changed his name, but he can't run away from his past. The Ranking a story of crime, murder, betrayal, love, and too many bad boys.
I thought it was entertaining, a page turner, it had an interesting plot, funny, heartfelt. However, towards the end I kind of got annoyed at Eric so I don't know how it will go from here.
Sometimes the writing style was confusing/there were some errors. Overall, I recommend it because it was a very pleasant reading experience.
For it to be a closed place (which I admit I don't usually like how it is done in books, and neither do I tend to like close proximity) I liked how it was handled, so yeah the setting didn't bother nor bored me. Because of all these reasons, I'm giving it 4 stars.
Who knows when/if I'll read the second book in the trilogy (The rankless system)
