Every war has its casualties...

We were just naive enough to believe it wouldn't hit so close to home.

The Sons are toying with us—moving people around like chess pieces.

Surrounded by enemies, it's impossible to know who's on my side.

Keeping my family and club out of the line of fire is my number one priority.

I almost lost her once before.

The breath will leave my body before I let it happen again.

Shannon is a born and raised Texan. She grew up inventing clever stories, usually to get herself out of trouble. Her mother was not amused. In junior high, she began writing fractured fairy tales from the villain's point of view and that was the moment she knew that she was going to use her powers for evil instead of good.

In 2003, she moved to Denver and met the love of her life. After some relentless stalking and a few well-timed sarcastic remarks, the man eventually gave in to her charms and wifed her so hard. They welcomed a son in 2007 that they named after their favorite Marvel superhero, Spiderman.

Sick of seeing beautiful mountains through their window every day, the three escaped back to the desolate landscape of the west Texas desert in 2009. She welcomed her second son not long after and soon realized that being surrounded by three men was nothing at all like she'd imagined in her fantasies.

After an unplanned surgery in 2014 and a long pity party, she decided to pen a novel about the worst thing that could happen to a person in order to cheer herself up. She's twisted like that. Thus, From This Day Forward was born and the rest, as they say, is history.

Not only does Shannon enjoy stalking people, she also has a fondness for being stalked. Visit her at www.shannonshaemyers.com to keep up with her latest schemes and shenanigans.

Marie's Tempting Reads ARC Review:

AN EPIC, ANGSTY, EMOTIONAL, DANGEROUS, A HECK OF A ROLLER COASTER RIDE ROMANTIC SUSPENSE WITH DRAMA, HEART-ATTACK LIKE ACTION, AND ROMANCE! Traitor is the conclusion to Mike and Lauren's story and just when I think things couldn't get more emotional, Shannon Myers proves me wrong. This book had some MAJOR Angst and danger. I was ON THE EDGE OF A CLIFF WITH THIS ONE! From start to finish, this book had my emotions in a tangled web, and just when I think things will start to unravel, things get more twisted and the secrets that are revealed left me STUNNED!

Mike and Lauren both had some major bumps in the road. But when Lauren is in danger, Mike doesn't let her anger get him down, he proves again and again that he will be there to protect her even if she doesn't want him there or at least doesn't think she wants him there. But you can still feel the passion and love they have for each other simmering under the surface and when they do let it out, its rough and hot and just unforgettable. NO ONE brings drama and angst to a story like Shannon Myers, and Renegade and Traitor have both and SO MUCH MORE! I have waited for Mike's story for so long and I am BEYOND AMAZED with how his story comes out. And the ending has me WANTING...NO NEEDING THE NEXT BOOK LIKE RIGHT FREAKING NOW!

Traitor gets a EDGY AND DARK AND SIZZLING HOT FIVE SHOOTING STARS! Bring the tissues and make sure to be prepared for a WILD, CRAZY RIDE like NO OTHER!

Shannon Myers delivers her best book yet!

Wow... where do I begin with this one? I’m not sure my review will give justice to what is an absolute must-read! Shannon Myers delivers an amazing conclusion to one of my favorite interconnected series ever! What can I say that hasn’t been said before? I’ve read all of her books and I have loved them all! She is truly one of my favorite authors and I hope to meet her one day!

You must read Renegade (book one) before reading Traitor (book two) in order to understand Mike and Lauren’s journey; it’s angsty, compelling, raw. The characters are flawed and make so many mistakes, but eventually get their sh!t together! Be warned you will want to throw your kindle so many times (I’m not kidding)! I kept shedding tears, my heart kept clenching. I cringed in some scenes, I swooned so hard in others. #MikeIsMine

The author does a really great job with the plot twist (just like in every book she has written). I won’t go into it, but I will say that this is more than just a second chance romance. It’s action-packed, suspenseful, and will keep you at the edge of your seat trying to figure out who is good and bad. I know I’m being cryptic but I don’t want to give away anything. It’s one of those series you need to devour blindly.

I loooovvvveeedddd it so much and now I’ll be dying for all of the other characters (Jimmy, Torch and Grey) to get their own books! Shannon is at her best and I can’t wait for her next installment. The book funk is strong with this one!

Traitor by Shannon Myers a thrilling and compelling five-star read. This is the second book in the renegade series and it is a conclusion to Renegade so you do need to read that first. It took me a while to read this book, not because it was bad, the total opposite I usually read so quickly that I don’t always remember ever detail but I promise you that for some time to come I will be able to remember the tiniest detail of this book, I cannot wait for Grey’s story.
Lauren and Mike are like the tides colliding they come together and great waves happen, waves of love and sadness they both face choices in this story, choices of love, club and obligation. There is so much going on there is passion and drama and double crossing. This series has gone from strength to strength, it was also nice to see the cross over from the other series. Shannon Myers is one of those authors you really wish more people knew about. If you are looking for a read that will be funny and poetic and will take you on such an emotional rollercoaster you will need lots of wine or just snuggles under a blanket to get over it, then this series is one for you.

This book deserves 5 stars and so much more. Well, what can I say about Shannon Myers??? She ROCKS!!! Not only did she give us the conclusion of Mike and Lauren's story but she jammed packed it with so much angst, so much feelings and emotions that had me thinking, what the hell did she do to me. Seriously, I needed some time to recover from this book, I was crying, laughing, hating, loving Mike. I was gripping my phone from excitement, from angry, from WTF moments. Mike and Lauren's story will have you in a roller coaster ride of your life! Shannon Myers will rip your heart out, shred it, laugh and then slowly put it back together. She's evil 😈(just kidding, I still love you 💜).

Shannon Myers, I'm greatful that I found you. You are a hidden gem, my favorite author! Your work keeps getting better and better every time. And I can't wait for more to come. My mind is so mixed up with feelings it's hard to write them down, I wanna say so much more. My words in this review won't come close to the justice this book deserves.

Shannon Myers has become one of my favorite authors and I'll tell you why. She writes amazing stories that suck you in from the very beginning until long after the book has ended. Traitor is no exception to this rule. This book is probably one of my favorites so far from Shannon. We are back to see how Mike and Lauren end up. Lauren is still searching for clues about her mother's death, while Mike is still trying to find his way without his heart.

I love Mike and Lauren. I love how hard they fight to not love each other. But sometimes love is stronger than hate. I love how much Lauren grows in this book. She becomes strong and determined. Mike...Mike is the man that doesn't know how to not love Lauren. She is his world, even without her close by.

I love Mike and Lauren and can't wait to see what's to come from Shannon. It's been amazing to follow her on her journey as an author. Her stories only get stronger and stronger with each book. She makes me fall harder for the characters each series. I promise you will not be disappointed by this series! Check it out.

This series just gets more. More what? More everything. More in depth, more angsty, more lusty, more frustrating and more thrilling. More.

Mike. We've talked about this before. I really have a hard time liking you when you aren't with Lauren and being a reasonable human being. Even then, you need to figure out that half truths and lies by omission are going to come back to bite you. And NOBODY finds it romantic to be propositioned about fucking in a bathroom. Quit it.

Lauren, my dear. I'm so proud of you for finally dropping that job and that horrible boss. But get your shit together. ASK QUESTIONS. MAKE DEMANDS. You're a tough chick but I want to shake you sometimes. Jimmy's a good friend, keep him around. And life isn't going to get easier, but at least you can face your challenges with the man you love if you guys can figure this out. Kthxbai.

Read this is you like drama and suspense and steamy romance!

I was looking forward to reading Traitor straight after renegade, I was late to the party with this series but I'm very glad I've read them now. I thoroughly enjoyed this second installment just as much as the first book.

This installment has everything, it is extremely well written and the content is emotionally captivating, romantic and suspenseful. Traitor is the conclusion to Mike and Lauren's story and Shannon did an excellent job of providing it. I was captivated from the very beginning until the end, this is a five-star read.

Ok I had to catch my breath after reading part 2 of Mike and Lauren's story...and it isn't really over quite yet because there is still more justice to hand out after all of the terrible things they (and the club) went through. But OMG...Mike lost his marbles and Lauren went off the deep end as well...but they do get a better resolution at the end of this one but not without one big explosive event before all the dust settles and we find out who the traitor/mole is! I loved this book and am already jumping into the next one in the series because this author knows how to spin a twisty and exciting tale.

***** 4.5 ***** "lots of things to figure out" stars

OMG! I've volunteered to review this book for United Indie Book Blog. This is the second book in the Silent Phoenix MC series. This picks up from where the first book left off from. You get to see what will happens between Mike and Lauren in this one. The first chapter of this book had my heart in my throat. There is a lot more twists and turns up in this one. It’s action-packed, suspenseful, and will keep you at the edge of your seat trying to figure out who is good and bad. Can Michael and Lauren work through their differences and come together to solve the mysteries? Can they find out who the is Traitor? This book did leave you on a cliffhanger, so I can't wait to see how this plays out. You WILL definitely need to read the first book in this series. Keep up the awesome job! I couldn't stop reading it. I HAVE to know what will happen next!

These two characters are damn annoying! But the actual storyline and related mc series makes it so worthwhile reading!

Gotta say part of the major problem is that they're in the wrong order n shouldn't be book 1 n 2 to this series and that's what's knocking me off my balance with these two books.

so to me the reading order needs to be better explained and the other series incorporated into this (for me book 1 and 2 of this series is not really doing this series justice )

They dont the series up correctly or the foundation for it. And that's a shame because it's a damn good biker mc series that at times is heart stopping and totally addictive.

So keep reading cos book 3 onwards is a rollercoaster of emotions!!!

I hope that you read Renegade, this will make so much more sense. This is an awesome story. I absolutely loved this story. It leads to still more conflict between Mike and Lauren, but perverse.
The Silent Phoenix MC has more deaths coming, Katya causes more problems and for that it continues to raise a problems for Mike.
Lauren is conflicted with her mind over heart and it causes problems with work. She is working out at a gym and meets someone who helps her workouts. She also buys a gun and goes to the shooting range and learns how to use the gun.

The Sons of Death MC...continues to cause chaos...questions continue...answers???

A Great Read

Omg I love this! It’s a great read but it does end on a cliffhanger. I followed the advice of several reviews to read Renegade first then Traitor and if I had my timer over I would read them in the authors order. This story reads so well, the characters are strong and engaging and the twists and turns trying to work out who the traitor is has me on the edge of my seat. Who will live and who will die? For that you’ll need to read the next book in this amazing series. What and imagination this author has.

Michael Sullivan is definitely in over his head with the Silent Phoenix Outlaw MC and trying to balance his other life as an undercover cop. He is also still reeling from losing Lauren Santiago-McGuire, the woman he loves. As he begins to hit bottom, Grey, the President of the Silent Phoenix tells him he needs to get clean.

Lauren knows she needs to move on from Michael, no matter what her heart wants. She finds solace with Jimmy, a man who teaches her to protect herself at the gym and at the gun range. But Lauren is not giving up finding out the truth about why her mom was murdered and soon she finds herself in over her head.

Can Michael and Lauren work through their differences and come together to solve the mysteries that lay before them? Can they discover in time who the moles are within the police station and the MC before anyone else gets hurt?

This was such a great follow up to Renegade. I will not say conclusion as there is definitely some unfinished business at the end of this book.

Mike had some ups and downs in this book and was definitely torn between his "two lives". Yet he knew that he had to protect Lauren at all costs, even if they were not together. Mike still had the case with Katya ongoing and had to figure out what happened with Lauren's mom.

I loved how Lauren put certain things together that allowed other things to fall into place between Mike, Grey and Comedian. She had got certain things figured out which caused her to be in danger.

I did figure out the double crosser early on but was not disappointed and was glad to see that I was right. It made perfect sense for everything.

The ending left me with an OMG moment and I really hope that there is another book in the series!

Out of all of Shannon's books this one took me through more emotions than I want to admit. It's not often that you are angry in love with a character, but that's how I felt about Mike. I wanted to beat him upside the head while at the same time scream my love for him. He may be reckless but he is my kind of reckless I would stand by.
Lauren is one of the strongest female characters I have ever read. What she goes through, how she faces her relationship with Mike, how she grows as a person...it takes a strong woman to rise above her love for a man and stand by what she believes.
The tears I cried were of frustration, sadness, and most of all love. For I loved this book! Not your typical love story. One that keeps you on your toes and keeps you reading long through the night.
The timeline still awes me with how complex it is and to keep it all straight. As a huge fan of her writing I have read all her books more than once, and it floors me how she weaves all her characters together. I LOVE IT!!
This couple's chemistry is what makes a true love story epic!

Great book

Oh this series is getting good, deceit and infiltration within a corrupt police department and a motorcycle club abound, add in the fact that a not so perfect hero finds out he's not the son of a psychotic drug addict but in reality the son of a man he admired as a child. The girl of his dreams doesn't want him but persistence pays off and he triumphs in the end, add in more murder and action, sexual chemistry and romance and you have one great read. Make sure you start at the beginning of the series, you won't want to miss a single page, still no hea, but the story continues.

I've read a lot of books that give off warnings of being 'graphic, violent, dark reads' that I didn't find all that dark, violent, or graphic. (Realizing, of course, we all have differing opinions on what is what...). I will say this book is what I always expected out of an MC read. Seriously, do not read this series if you are At All easily triggered by Anything. It's all in here. It's dark. It's raw. It doesn't shy away from the hard stuff - it embraces it and dishes it up to you on a silver platter. This book, the entire series (which I devoured) exhausted me, and that rarely happens. Well-written and has probably satisfied my hankering for an MC read for the next while.

Book 4 done. We finally get to the events of the first book but still not really from the perspective and it's all jumbled up with another perspective from the same event from the second book so it's not clear what the hell happened after the shooting.

Lots of secrets get out and it takes these guys way to effing long to figure out the most likely traitor that should have been suspect for years but everyone wanted to believe that oaths mean something to sociopaths with a legitimate grudge.

On to book 5. I think this one finally wraps up this whole epic saga. I can only hope that somewhere we get some romance and happiness because it's very hard to find in all of the first 4 books.
