An imaginative, hilarious, and fun story that teaches children that nothing is impossible!Dog longs to visit the ocean, but it is MILES away. “Impossible!” he sighs. After using a new laundry soap called “Ocean Magic” a crab appears and needs help getting home. Will Dog take this chance to make his dream come true?

Read for my toddler's bedtime. This dog wants to see the ocean but it's far away from home so he thinks it's impossible to ever see it. Somehow crab showed up at dog's house and force him to make the trip. Dog leaned that everything is only impossible when he think it is.
Impossible! is a fun children’s picture book about a dog who has always longed to travel to see the ocean but from where he lives it would take him days to get there. He loves the ocean so much that he reads about it, collects boats, and being a laundrette he even purchases the new fragrance of washing powder, Ocean Magic, which gives off a scent on the clothes of the ocean air
One day after washing a load of clothes dog realises that there is a crab in his washing basket. The crab is upset and wants to go home. Dog offers to take him but then decides it is too far, it is impossible! Crab though tells dog that it is only impossible if he says it is. Dog decides to be brave and the two set off on their epic journey.
The story is so much more than just a dog wanting to see the ocean but being afraid to travel so far, it is about believing in yourself, adventure, and friendship. As the two new friends travel across the country they stop at some amazing locations and enjoy themselves and meet new friends too.
The book is a lot of fun and is highly illustrated too. I love the ‘photographs’ of dog and crab on their journey. Children will enjoy following their adventures and it will show them that sometimes you have to be brave and that the rewards can be tremendous.
This is an adorable book that I enjoyed from beginning to end. I also loved the ending. Made me very envious, especially when I haven’t seen the sea in over two years!
Dog dreams of visiting the ocean, but it's so far away that he never goes. One day Crab magically appears in his laundry basket, and Dog is forced to finally follow his dreams to the ocean as he helps Crab to get home. Dog thinks the trip is impossible, but with Crab's encouragement he finds a new confidence that they can do anything together.
I liked this cute picture book! It has a positive message about confidence and trying your best, and the characters are really funny. The plot takes many twists and turns as Dog and Crab go on their journey to the ocean.
The illustrations are really adorable with a crayon art style that is bright and energetic. Every page is full of cool details that enhance the story. I loved how the art designs pull the reader into the journey along with Dog and Crab.
Such a fun and entertaining book!

IT'S IMPOSSIBLE! is a delightful road trip picture book that asserts things are only impossible if you say that they are. Dog lives in a busy city where he washes clothes. He dreams of going to the ocean and is excited when he gets a new laundry detergent that promises ocean magic. He is shocked when he is using it and Crab appears in his laundry basket.
Crab wants to get back to the ocean, but it is miles away! Dog has always wanted to go, and this may be his chance to take a road trip to the ocean with Crab, but it's impossible! Or is it?
What I loved: The story is really cute and delightfully fun. Dog is a character that adults can definitely empathize with, and his story is really relatable, even for young children. Readers will squeal with delight as Dog overcomes all the obstacles he thinks are in his way to achieving a life he loves. This optimistic tale tells children that their dreams are in reach.
The illustrations are cartoonish and full of bright colors and fun details. This world of animals is delightful to look through, and the story really comes to life in the pictures.
What left me wanting more: As a small point, some of the transitions are rather sudden, which is juxtaposed with others being in detail. Softer transitions would be nice, rather than an almost smash cut switch.
Final verdict: A book about overcoming obstacles to reach for your dreams, IT'S IMPOSSIBLE! is a delightful road trip picture book that will appeal to young readers and their caregivers alike. As a note, this book would be ideal for preschool-aged children and older.
Please note that I received a review copy. All opinions are my own.
Synopsis: Dog owns a laundry service in the big city, but has dreams of one day getting to see the ocean. Out of nowhere, a crab shows up, but he wants to go back home to the sea. He doesn't know how to get there. Crab tries to convince dog to drive him out to the sea so, not only can the crab get home, but so that dog can fulfill his dream. Will it be impossible or will dog forge through the hiccups along the way and pursue his life long dream of seeing the ocean?
Uses: Show how being brave still means you have fear, but being willing to take a risk for something great to happen. Nothing ventured nothing gained!
A dog is convinced he will never be able to take the much-too-long road trip to see the ocean. He becomes motivated when a new friend needs to make his way home (to that very ocean). The two traverse across bridges and mountains and valleys teaching that nothing is impossible as long as they try. Cute.
Dog's dearest wish is to visit the ocean, but he believes it is an impossible dream until he meets Crab who wants to go home. Road trip! A delightful picture book with colorful detailed illustrations, compelling storytelling, and a fabulous message: "It's only impossible if I say it is."
A crab magically shows up in a dog's laundry basket and forces him to go on a road trip to the ocean. I thought the pictures were great, but the narrative was a little awkward. I did like the dog opening up a bar on the beach at the end.
Really like the message in this as it’s about not being afraid to follow a dream or change your life. Pictures are great Think it’s told in a very encouraging and sweet way. Also slight queer vibe. Not said in any way at all but I’d like to think dog and crab live happily ever after together.
A cute book about following your dream and that the only power the word impossible has is when we believe it. A picture book with great illustrations to capture young readers attention.
Dog leads a satisfying life in a bustling city where he runs a laundry service. But he dreams of the ocean, and even has a nightlight with fish that swim around and soothe him while he sleeps. When a crab mysteriously appears in his place of business and needs to go home, after much dithering about the impossibility of leaving, Dog decides to take a road trip with the crab and return him to the sea even though it's very far away. They have all sorts of wonderful adventures and even meet others who are also on various journeys. And even though there are times when it looks as though it really will be impossible to move onward, everything eventually works out. Once they arrive at the ocean, Dog realizes that it's everything he always dreamed it would be. But he knows it's impossible to stay there where he's so very happy. But is it? The colorful illustrations and text attest to the importance of dreaming and being open to life's possibilities rather than focusing on what seems to be impossible. This picture book made me want to pack up all my possessions and head for a far different life than the one I'm currently leading. All it would take is the willingness to let go of what seems secure and to take a chance. Ah, but I'm one who needs a road map and prefers to have everything, even life's adventures, all planned out. Or am I? Could I, like Dog, embrace the possibilities in what seems so impossible?
