A Regular Slugfest

When a slug and snail infestation overtook our backyard, it was all our humans could do to get rid of the slimy creatures. And that was even before billionaire Edward Dexter entered our lives. Ed’s daughter had gone missing, and so he turned to Odelia to find her. Only that’s not how the rest of the family saw it. They thought Odelia was having an affair with the handsome billionaire, and so the trouble began.

In the meantime Harriet was trying to train neighboring dogs Fifi and Rufus for their upcoming dog show. They both wanted to become Best in Show, and Harriet promised she could take them all the way to the top. Too late did she remember the old saying ‘Never work with children or animals.’ Suffice it to say things didn’t go smoothly.

Nic has a background in political science and before being struck by the writing bug worked odd jobs around the world (including but not limited to massage therapist in Mexico, gardener in Italy, restaurant manager in India, and Berlitz teacher in Belgium).

When he’s not writing he enjoys curling up with a good (comic) book, watching British crime dramas, French comedies or Nancy Meyers movies, sampling pastry (apple cake!), pasta and chocolate (preferably the dark variety), twisting himself into a pretzel doing morning yoga, going for a run, and spoiling his big red tomcat Tommy.

He lives with his wife (and aforementioned cat) in a small village smack dab in the middle of absolutely nowhere and is probably writing his next ‘Mysteries of Max’ book right now.

Always fantastic Max mysteries!

It's hard to keep coming up with a review when every book is phenomenal! I believe I've given every positive review I can. I absolutely love this series and anxiously await each new Max mystery. Every story line is heartwarming and delightful. There's drama and humour in each book. Dooley is my favorite character and some of the things he says have me laughing so hard. He's so naive, but yet so smart. I can't say enough how much I love this series!!!!

A Slimy trail of deception

Another wonderful story of Max and friends solving the disappearance Addie Dexter, the daughter of a billionaire. Odelia was recruited by the person she believed to be Edward Dexter to find his missing daughter. This resulted in some assumptions by her grandma, Vesta and a lot of misunderstandings. Max saves the day and figures it out.

The Max Squad investigate the disappearance of the daughter of a billionaire. Gran misinterprets what she sees and rumors abound that Odelia is having an affair with said billionaire. The cause of a massive snail infestation of snails, which destroys several gardens, is finally explained.

Snails and Blue Moon? What does this mean? Read And Find Out!

The snail invasion is surprising enough but Gran is worrying about her granddaughter and a billionaire. What takes place is truly hilarious. Gran always keeps life lively!

Purrfect Slug

As always Max, Dooley, and the gang have had an amusing, although confusing adventure as they helped solve another case.

interesting book

Again I liked this story with a twist involving snails and beer. It turns out snails like beer enough to take over a whole yard.
