Vital Deception: Ben Porter Series - Book Four

Rate this book
"The perfect thriller for the crazy world we live in," according to best-selling author James PattersonSix months after being tasked with an off-the-books, international investigation, Ben Porter finds himself bedridden in a Washington, D.C. hospital, beset with mysterious, life-threatening symptoms. Faced not only with tragedy but also with mounting pressure from his superiors, Ben is forced into an impossible does he fulfill his duty, or does he disobey his command? Or … can he do both?

Full review from James Patterson: “If you like Mitch Rapp and Jack Reacher, and I do, you’re going to devour the Ben Porter thrillers. Vital Deception could be the best yet. The story feels like it comes right out of today’s headlines. Vital Deception is the perfect thriller for the crazy world we live in.”

Praise from The Real Book "If you haven't yet met FBI Agent Ben Porter, you're missing out on one of the genre's best characters—period."

“Tight prose in this spy genre, where tight makes right. Christopher Rosow has got the tools for this business. Look for a hypersonic rise amongst his peers. Ben Porter is the real deal.”
- TED BELL, author of SEA HAWKE as well as the NYTimes bestselling Alex HAWKE series.

The Ben Porter Series has been optioned for film by Spyglass Media Group, and "Ben Porter is a whole new brand of 'hero' that will take audiences on a captivating ride," according to Peter Oillataguerre, President of Production, Spyglass Media Group.

"Christopher Rosow is a captivating storyteller who creates timely and tense plot lines in an original voice. As a fellow sailor, I appreciate that each of his books draws a bit from his passion for the majesty of the water and the open sea."
- BILL KOCH, Winner of the 1992 America's Cup

-"My brother Rush loved the Ben Porter books -- and I do too -- for good reason. They are impossible to put down. The storylines are compelling and could be happening right now."
- DAVID LIMBAUGH, syndicated political columnist and author

This author can write so descriptively. He understands so much of what the reader desires. A++ style and written composition.

good read

Well done. Needs an editor who took classes in grammar and syntax, but that’s just petty complaining from the grammarian about whom your mother warned you. Suspense. Well told. Very very enjoyable. I’ll be waiting for number five.

Another great book

Liked the characters and length of chapters. The action kept moving and was easy to remember as it was not made overly complicated. Could leave it for a week and come back to it or read it several chapters at a time. The theme kept developing at a great pace. Great author, worth the read and a good way to become absorbed in something different than daily work.

Amazing great story which is exceptionally well written

Ben Porter comes alive again (spoiler?) in this fabulous novel by Christopher Rosow. His team surrounds him as he begins his pursuit of an evil plot. The story twists and turns as Ben finds himself conflicted, worried and upset over some developments. You have to read this new book in the series. It outshines the rest!! Wish I could give it 10 stars!!!!

FBI Agent Rob Porter is top dog in this fast moving spy novel
about a Doctor from Walter Reed involved in murder,
mayhem and disaster. Who is the actually leader who
is employing these bad actors to kill and manipulate
the actions to benefit themselves. Guess you have to
read the book and find out!

minus a star for the (too) many deaths of integral characters. also, needs a good copy editor to correct numerous word usage mistakes (esp. infer/imply), and lin is not a japanese surname.

The latest installment of the Ben Porter series is very satisfying. It ended nothing like I thought it. Surprise after surprise.
