This was so entertaining! I love these two in the first book and they just made me giddy in this one. They are just too cute.

Lots happens in this book, even when most of it happens in just one day. I had so much fun reading this but also there were some angsty emotional scenes that got to me ahah.

We found out a lot of stuff about this genie family and about Vel’s nympth side. It was all very interesting and I feel like there’s a lot more to be discovered about this family’s past and what exactly they are planning.

I love how we got to continue the story with Vel and Dolly but got so much of Arrik, too. He’s becoming an alley for these two and I hope Brindi is leading up for him to get his own book eventually. I want him to get his own girl and knowing a bit about his past, I would hope it’d be the one he loved but I’m unsure of what really happened to her.

The world building continues to be excepcional. The descriptions conjure some epic settings in my mind. I can’t wait to see which realm these characters will visit next!

I was lucky enough to receive an eARC of this book in exchange for an honest review!

And boy do I have a review for you guys 😂 this book did a number on me!!

I stayed up until 3am reading and could not put it down! I nearly finished it all in one go but I held back because well it was 3am and also because I didn’t want it to end 😭. I had a whole slew of emotions: giddy, giggly, angry, happy, sad, frustrated, maddened, hopeful and cozy and the entire book is just one giant rainbow of emotions that smacks you in the face and you thank the book for doing so 😂

This book has:
-forced proximity
-genie magic
-mysterious brooding hot tattooed genie man 😍
-epic world-building
-partners in crime
-TENSION!!
-some spice 😘

Below are my immediate thoughts after reading the book— and I by immediate, I mean I typed this out after sending a message to Brindi and freaking out to my husband 😂
👇👇
I don’t know what Brindi put in these books but they are CRACK and I cannot get enough!!

This one was… different than the first. I found myself desperately wanting her to choose Arrik but also not wanting her to just change guys so quickly or feel like she is cheating even though I suppose Velis-not Velis did dump her. But still, I know this series is supposed to be healthier relationship-wise and so I was torn, especially since Dolly was also torn. Not enough to leave Velis, but enough that I am intrigued on whether she actually stays with him, especially because of other issues I’ve seen her have (being locked away for one!). I am also interested in why Arrik and her seem to have some sort of destiny??? And god dammit Brindi PLEASE for the love of all things genie let us know what memory he took away from her at the end on the balcony!! Going to drive me absolutely bonkers not knowing until the next book 😂 Arrik only takes away really good memories!
Update: I asked Brindi and she said the memory he took away would make an appearance in the next book so, YAY!!
This entire review has been hidden because of spoilers.

Granted

Rating: 4/5⭐️

This was such a good sequel and it really catches your attention from the very beginning. I will say this book was an emotional rollercoaster. My heart just dropped during a couple parts of this book. There is also so much action and we really get more insight on some characters.

Dolly and Velis are still in their honeymoon phase and I love how they are supportive of each other. We also get to really know Arrik in this book and let me tell you… there are some very conflicting feelings for everyone involved. I LOVE Arrik, I mean he’s your tatted bad boy genie. What’s not to love? I feel like in this book the banter is a lot more natural so it really helps the story lay out.

Overall I really enjoyed this book and I can’t wait for the next one!

While I enjoyed reading book 1 of the series, book 2 is where I fell in love with the characters. I knew this book would have a redemption arc for Arrik. I am a sucker for misunderstood bad boys, and this book was just what the doctor ordered.
The Dolly-Velis relationship was wonderful to read, with both of them being considerate of each other's opinions. They each had a general respect for the other and also for their relationship as a whole. It is heartening to see wholesome relationships being written about, even though both characters have experienced relationship trauma in the past. Neither of them burdens the other with their old baggage yet helps each other navigate the darker parts of their personalities.
I couldn't get enough of Arrik's brilliance. He is always 'one step ahead'. He is kind and thoughtful yet knows when to push Dolly. The author's descriptions of the magic in alternate dimensions were believable. Brindi creates beautiful worlds for her characters and takes her readers with her on adventures in these worlds. I read the entire book over a weekend and cannot wait for the next book in the series to be published.

I finally had the chance to read the sequel of “Come True” which is “Granted”.
I had no idea how much I was missing those characters, and the whole story.

I missed reading about Dolly and Velis so much.
Once I started reading it I just couldn't stop.
It was absolutely amazing!!

I always love it when sequels are super surprising and this one totally fits the bill. I loved getting the know more about this fantasy world, its inhabitants/creatures and the magic surrounding it all. We really get to know Arrik better in this one. Brindi did a great job keeping me at the edge of my seat and wondering what would happen next. It was just wonderful how the author kept me guessing from beginning to end. I really have not read a book like this before and I already cannot wait for the next book in this series. She also got me really interested in the other brothers and I hope we will see more from Velis… he and Dolly need to have their happier ending haha. Also, this book was hot the cover makes you understand that for sure.

THIS BOOK IS AMAZING!!! Seriously! I loved the first one Come True: A Bomb-Ass Genie Romance (which is free right now on Kindle. Hint hint) and this follow up in the series was just AMAZING *chefs kiss* 😘

This is an infinite ⭐️ rating but since I can’t list that many I going to change my rating scale here and now an make it 10/10 ⭐️. With a spicy level of 3/5🌶 it’s the perfect amount.

Okay let’s run down the list, this book has:

✅ amazing world building, as we spend most of our time in lands that are not known for humans. Quinn makes them feel magical with still keeping them grounded and relatable.

✅ amazing new side character that I want to make as friends. I am serious Bellamy would be awesome to hang out with.

✅ Arrik, ugh god he is so hot!! Like the first book I was team Vel all the way, but this book…oh man Arrik has stolen my ❤️. His banter with Dolly and just one off lines are great. And Quinn has created a character that has layers. Quinn could have take the route and just made Arrik and one dimensional tattoo sexy genie, and that would have been fine, but no Quinn every the master at writing has created layer to this sexy man and showed that he has a ❤️.

✅ keeping on theme of tattoos, I have never wanted one more, with the caveat that Arrik is the one to give it to me. 😉
seriously read this book to find out.

✅ MC Dolly is great as always, she is strong, but a human so she has flaws just like anyone else trying to navigate through this supernatural world.

✅ I don’t want to add too much about Vel’s character here, but let’s just say Quinn does it again by writing a character in two different ways that feels so authentic, it’s scary how she can get me to love/route for Vel in one chapter and then hate him in the next.

✅ the rumors are true chapter 9 is a doozy of a chapter. That it, I don’t want to spoil it.

Ugh I know I am going to cut off soon. Let me leave you with this. Go get this book, you will not be disappointed. If you have not read Brandi Quinn books, I would recommend go get the first one in this series (on kindle now for free) or you know buy it because it worth it. Read it fall in love and then read this one.

Happy Reading ❤️

Thank you to @brindiful @midnight_booktours and @midnighttidepublishing for providing me with an eARC of Granted. This is my honest review.

Let’s hear some commotion for the genie boys! 🗣️ I missed these characters so much and I was so excited to tag along for all the magical shenanigans. Brindi’s writing and world is equally as invigorating and complex as it was in Come True. I love that we got to explore more and meet new characters all while getting to know those we’ve already met on a deeper level. Dolly is still one of my favorite MCs to date. She’s strong and funny and vulnerable and so very real. Brindi has Dolly’s voice down to a science and I could listen for days on end. I’ve also been thirsting over Arrik since book one, so this was such a treat 😂 It’s the tattoos and the secret heart of gold, y’all! It can’t be helped!
-
There wasn’t a single moment in time where I knew what would happen next. The way my eyebrows rose straight through the roof at the wish tease 👀 And the plot twists?! I’ve come to realize that’s one of my favorite things about this series. In a feed full of fantasy romances that start to feel a little repetitive, Brindi’s writing manages to keep you on your toes while also making you feel all the things. This series is funny and sad and so, so magical. The perfect neapolitan of fantasy, romance, and laughs!
-
This series could be 50 books long and I’d relish each one. If you’re looking for a fantasy romance (with hot genies!) that’ll sweep you right off your feet, please pick this series up! It’s one of my favorite series of the year hands down. 💜

So if you wished for multiple hot AF genies to thirst over… it was definitely Granted.

This book, y’all!!! What a freaking roller coaster.

It starts right where Come True left off: Dolly and Velis are in the honeymoon stage of their new relationship. But it’s time for Vel to meet Dolly’s mom, so off they go for what is supposed to be a quiet family dinner. But it doesn’t go that way. At all.

I won’t spoil it! But this dinner scene had me rolling, lol.

Then a trip to see Vel’s family goes to the shitter and, well, this one isn’t so funny. It’ll leave your jaw on the freaking floor and you’ll probably spend a good 10 minutes trying to convince yourself that what just happened *couldn’t* have actually happened. But it did. And your brain will be bamboozled for the rest of the book. Especially when Vel’s older brother, Arrik, steps in to try and help save the day. But he causes Dolly (and the reader) to feel some, uh, *conflicting* things.

I’m not going to spoil this book for you, lol. But you are likely going to be very confused on which genie you have the hots for by the time it’s over.

Long story short: everything in this book was done right. The world building is lush and detailed. The banter is witty and fun. The snark is on point. The plot moves quick, but not so fast that the characters don’t have time to develop. Because that’s the real gem of this book, and the series so far: the character development. These characters feel REAL (even though most of them are mythical creatures, lol). They’re relatable, charming and so, so, so layered. And I love me some layered/complex characters!

I cannot recommend this book enough. It’s a must read for fans of romcom, fantasy and paranormal romance—it has a bit of everything.

The only thing missing? A threesome, hahaha. But I have hopes for the next book…even though it probably won’t happen. And that’s okay! A girl can dream of her two hot AF genies though.

“𝐵𝑟𝑒𝑎𝑡ℎ𝑒 𝑤𝑖𝑡ℎ ℎ𝑒𝑟.

𝐵𝑟𝑒𝑎𝑡ℎ𝑒.

𝑴𝒂𝒔𝒕𝒆𝒓.“

Dolly is trying to get used to this new life with Velis as a soon to be laird of the estate. But things go wrong on their trip to see the nymphs and the only person she can depend on now is the one she is told not to ever trust: Arrik.
______________________________________________

I don’t think I have one bad thing to say about this book. Not one negative or critique I could give. But I will admit that this book has left me feeling 𝐚𝐥𝐥 the feels.

I’ve never been more conflicted over characters. I love Dolly and Velis so much but truthfully? This book was all about Arrik for me. I love how complex he is. It makes him so real to me. His snarky comments and tricks make me laugh.

Velis is still so sweet and lovable. A truly wonderful boyfriend/fiancé. He isn’t as prevalent in this book due to the actual plot. But I think that’s because this is about seeing another side of Dolly and Arrik.

Dolly is still a badass. In fact, she grows stronger in this book and the lesson in the end that she learns hits me hard. It’s something I’ve always told myself and I love seeing an author push that narrative for her female lead.

The overall plot in this was interesting and a little comical for me. But I think it fits with the first book and the author’s overall writing style. I think this is a rom com for fantasy. So it didn’t bother me even though that’s not something I’d usually go for.

I’m honestly dying for the next book. I can’t wait to see where this is going because I literally have no idea. I want everyone to find their happy ending. But maybe I want Arrik’s a little more.

I have been waiting for this sequel since I finished reading Come True: A Bomb-ass Genie Romance. The anticipation was definitely worth the wait and it did not disappoint one bit! To say this sequel was amazing would be an understatement. I must admit Granted is by far my favourite novel out of the two.

Granted sees the continuation of Come True, Vel and Dolly embark on getting a blessing for marriage which in turn gets Vel's "seed", however in fantastic fashion things don't go to plan and everything goes topsy turvy. Dolly and Arrik have to team up.
I loved how this novel took one direction and went in the other. It kept it fresh and as a reader it kept me guessing.
Granted has so many humourous moments but "gross and creepy" will be a firm favourite of mine.
Dolly and Arrik's relationship was just sensational. I absolutely loved it! Their banter is just brilliant and they really bring out a side to them that is unexpected - especially Arrik.

Brindi Quinn's ability to create a world and describe it in such a rich manner that it transports the reader into a head space that you can visualize actually being there is beyond phenomenal.
The writing just flows and makes the pages as well as the chapters fly by.
The whole combination of writing style and world/character creativity just makes this the perfect novel.

This sequel was full of just as much heartwarming fun as the original!

We begin with our main character and her genie boyfriend taking a trip to see Dolly's mum. As expected, the trip doesn't go as planned and Arrik tries to step in to assist our favourite couple, after which they then embark on their trip for a marriage blessing from Vel's nymph family. If you thought their trip to Dolly's mum's went badly, this trip to the nymph realm is icing on the cake on the all the bad trips you could ever imagine. Arrik and Dolly have to team up to save Vel - and they learn more and more about each other along the way.

I loved reading about Dolly again. This book really shines a light on her relationship with Arrik and I absolutely adored them together. Arrik really brings out a different side to Dolly that we don't see when she's with Vel. He tests her, really pushes her to the brink. Meanwhile, they're still throwing A+ banter at each other.

The world building is just as rich as Granted. You can see all the scenes as they're taking place without the descriptors being too overwhelming. I also loved the character development: you see more sides to Arrik (and learn some secrets), and Dolly becomes such a strong woman.

All in all, this was so much fun! If you haven't read Come True yet, I highly recommend you hop on board the genie romance train!

Thank you to Brindi Quinn and Midnight Tide Publishing for an advanced copy of this book, all opinions are my own.

I was concerned about this book.

Second books can so easily go wrong, especially when the first ties up as neatly as Come True did.

I love Brindi Quinn. I don’t know her, but I love her, okay? You can’t stop me.

The plot is fresh, unexpected, and keeps you on your toes! It is crafted masterfully and true to the world it’s set in. You can tell Quinn has been writing for some time and that hard work has paid off. Some fun twists are thrown in that excited my little reader heart and overall, the plot is well-balanced and laid out wonderfully.

Pacing is SPOT ON. There’s just enough tension to keep you invested in the story, but not so much that you’re having a literal anxiety attack the whole time. The action keeps things moving right along but is countered with these soft, intense, beautiful moments that suck you in. A truly experienced approach that uses necessary exposition but mostly lets the story tell itself.

The CHARACTERS. I thought I knew them, really, I did. They developed so much more in Book 2 and I loved every second of it. They are NOT all perfect (don’t you hate when writers end up doing that, especially in romances?). Quinn’s writing holds true to the personalities she’s created and expands upon that to give us a better understanding of each one. I love them all, even the ones I hate.

There is a little more romance in this book, but not cringey levels. The focus is the development of relationships in all ways, not just sex on sex. In fact, I’d argue the emotional tension is what makes more of an impact than any of the physical scenes. But still spicy enough 😉

I laughed, I cried, I screeched, I laughed some more. I had to fan myself a few times old-southern-lady style. Well worth the time to read (and it won’t take you long once you start, trust me).

If you have read Come True…don’t skip out of reading Granted. Brindi did not disappoint in this sequel. I’ve been eagerly awaiting book 2 since I read Come True and I have to admit…Granted is by far my favorite of the two so far!

Granted continues Dolly & Vel’s story and we get to learn a lot more about Vel’s brother, Arrik!

Vel & Dolly travel to the land of the Nymphs to get approval from Vel’s family to get married…HOWEVER…things don’t go according to plan AT ALL. So, Dolly decides to team up with Arrik to try to save the day.

I definitely have some conflicting feelings as to how things ended up, but maybe my wish will come true 😉😉 in book 3.

ARC REVIEW: 🤩🤩🤩🤩🤩

What a sequel!! 😱

There’s nothing better than a sequel to a book that has you guessing and grips your heart in a vise but at the same time gives you all the squealy girl feelings because the couple you loved so much in the first one stay true to each other despite the odds and temptations in their way

Without giving too much away, or giving any spoilers, I truly ADORED the incredible banter between Arrik and Dolly even though there were moments I was gripping my iPad so hard I thought it would crack because I was praying nothing would come of it because sweet baby Velis I couldn’t handle if anything happened to break him! Haha

But, true to who she was in the first, Dolly remains a truly loyal and steadfast, badass FMC that I loved seeing grow even more.

I also don’t know if I can get over how much I fell for the bad-boy genie in this one because holy smokes… There’s something about a broken bad boy that is just irresistible!

Can’t wait to see what magic Brindi brings us in the third book 🤍✨

I fell in love with Brindi's writing in Come True (book 1) and I absolutely love the world she has created. Filled with love, magic, leprechauns and even an evil step-mother. I was a little worried because of the cover but once you read it you won't be worried. Dolly and Velis are like forever. But Arrick runs a close second. In book 2 you're introduced to more characters, more worlds and gain a new book boyfriend. The magic system is unique and I aspire to write more like Brindi. Her easy flow writing will pull you in and make you go awwww.
I will definitely be waiting with baited breath for book 3 and more Arrick.
This book does have more spice than book one and I loved it. I love seeing that sultry sexy side of Velis. He's such a cinnamon roll that it was nice to see he's also a little naughty.
On a side note I can't get over how Dolly calls Velis's father, Daddy Djinn, non-ironically.

There are just so many feelings and so few words to accurately describe them. This was one of my most anticipated reads after reading Come True. Let me tell you this one lived up to the hype!!! I love a dark haired misunderstood bad boy and Arrik fills that role beautifully! I love him and I feel for him dude. This book really was his shining moment and I can't wait to see what happens now that he Dolly and Vel are all intertwined together. As for Vel and Dolly, Miss Brindi Quinn had me smiling, kicking my feet, silent screaming, and crying all at the same time and I loved it! I love their whole dynamic and how real of relationship they have (you know minus the whole genie and nymph aspect). 10/10 loved this book and surpassed all expectations I had for this book!

Omg- where shall I start. This book was incredible!! I could not put it down! Unbelievable world building, action, and a strong, relatable lead female. I loved the development of the various characters and the unique storyline. Just when I thought it was headed in one direction, the author would totally surprise me and change it up. I can’t tell you how many times I wanted to scream. This is definitely becoming one of my favorite series and I will have to pre- order any more books she writes in it.

I loved the first book in this series (Come True), but I was left at the end of it thinking how much I wanted more Arrik and then Granted was announced and I WAS IN.

This book has so many amazing things, like misunderstood bad boys, family drama, sexy genie boys who want nothing more than to grant all your wishes…What more do you need in a book? This is a super fun read and it’s one of my favorite reads for this year! Also look at that cover, it’s gorgeous. I got to read this as an ebook and promptly ordered a physical copy as soon as it was available because I just love it so much!

You do need to read book 1 to understand what is going on in this book, so make sure you don’t skip!

You know how they talk about second books having to struggle against the first book, especially when the first was amazing?

I still find Quinn's writing style calming, the poetics of it are just masterful. I didn't know I could love the second book more, but it is absolutely possible with this one. The reality of the characters, their rawness and relatability really makes this a must read.

Thank you to @midnight_booktours and, of course, @brindiful for providing an early copy of this story.

Amazing!
Brindi Quinn has done it again!

Granted is like Come True's hotter, more experienced brother.

This genie sequel has everything we loved from book one, with sparkly new adventures, uneasy alliances, enemies-to-friends, quirky characters and all the banter. You'll laugh, you'll scream. You'll want to throw your book against the wall and you'll be counting down the days until the next installment of this amazing series is here!

I received an arc of this and I’m going to forever lowkey brag about it. I loved it, not as much as the first one and I almost gave it 4 stars but the entire plot was so interesting, it made up for the few things I didn’t enjoy.

It was nice that the writing was the same and so much info was jam packed in but it didn’t feel rushed or boring, it’s crazy that the whole book followed basically 2 days in the genie realm? Earth realm? ***** realm?

I love that we got an in-depth look into tattoo boy but there are so many unanswered questions still there. Also top notch descriptions, I love how detailed the scenes are.

I wish there was a little more cutesy ness, but it makes since to not have so much of it because it was an emotional whirlwind but the emotional stuff didn’t hit me as hard as the first book. The only parts I didn’t like would lowkey spoil stuff so I can’t mention it but it was more in how it was written and not about that part of the plot. I just don’t like that kind of jumping around writing, it’s not book specific. The only other big thing that bothered me was the “heh” and “tch” repetition lol. Idk why but it got to me in the end. Also the “spice” is elegant, barely spicy. I want full on SMUT, but I can’t blame her on not going for it because it would probs detract from the book.

Tbh this is probs one of those books that needs to be reread to fully absorb everything written and understand the twist and turns. Honestly I don’t even know how to feel about the book, it was so much and I’m left thirsting for more. I love Brindi and CANNOT wait for book 3 and where she is going to take this rollercoaster of a series.

I received an advance review copy for free, and I am leaving this review voluntarily.

Omg I absolutely loved this one. Even more than book 1 which I didn't think was possible because my god. The plot twist... My heart literally broke. I felt that pain. And Arrick. Omg don't we absolutely love a morally grey character. I love him. That revelation at the end tho....i hope he gets someone that makes him happy.
This book gave more insight about Vel's past which I love since we learned about Dolly's past in Come True.
I also loved how we got to know more about Arrick's wish granting style and now we know the order of the triplets. I spent so much time laughing in this book. I cannot. I thoroughly enjoyed it. A definite 5 star read

💜💜I am so excited to share my review of 𝐆𝐫𝐚𝐧𝐭𝐞𝐝: 𝐀 𝐁𝐨𝐦𝐛-𝐀𝐬𝐬 𝐆𝐞𝐧𝐢𝐞 𝐒𝐞𝐪𝐮𝐞𝐥 𝐛𝐲 @brindiful !💜💜

Rating: ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐
Spice: 🌶️

💙By the grace of Cal’s luck (IYKYK) Brindi’s books were brought into my life just this past October when I read the first book of this series; Come True: A Bomb-Ass Genie Romance. And I feel lucky to be one of the first readers for Granted!

💜Granted is not just a fantasy romance about genies. It has perfect humor, colorful language, characters that feel so relatable, all while including an amazing fantasy adventure too!

💙Granted begins where Come True left off, and it begins happy for all of 5 seconds. And without being spoilery, shit hits the fan and the honeymoon phase for Vel and Dolly is seriously interrupted, by blood curses, brothers, feelings, and nymphs.

💜The growth, the emotions, and the adventure of Granted was woven so absolutely perfectly. I could not put the book down! Dolly, the FMC is so strong, her growth from book one shines through in book two. I could see moments of doubt creep into her brain, but she quickly pulled from her experiences in book one to not get sucked into the dark, alone feelings again. And Arrik, the hot, tatted bad boy step brother to Vel, had a very opportune moment to shine his main character energy and help Vel and Dolly. The jury is still out on his true motives, but did I mention he’s really hot? You know we all love a morally gray character!

💙Brindi creates a beautiful balance of sensory details and imaginative language that brings her world and her characters to life. They absolutely jump off the page. Dolly is permanently etched into my brain, in the best way. I feel like I could take on the world after reading Dolly’s story. Ugh I just love her! Thank you so much Brindi!!

This was the perfect addition to this series! I loved every second of reading it, and I enjoyed getting to know some new characters and ones from the first book. I can’t wait to see what the author creates next!

This sequel was absolutely amazing. Brindi has a way of making you feel like you are actually living inside her books. The world building inside these two books is absolutely perfection.
Dolly is one of the most relatable female main characters I have ever read. I love her sense of humor and how she was willing to fight with everything she has for those she loves. Velis will always be my favorite but let’s be real Arrik is super tempting. I think it might have to be the tattoos? Or maybe the fact that he is a bad boy? Whatever the reason he is a very close second favorite.
I highly recommend this book. This is becoming my favorite series.

OMGEEE!! I loved this so much! I couldn't put it down. Quinn really puts you in her books. The only bad thing I can say is I have to wait for book 3!!! It cannot come fast enough.

Here's the thing about the Come True series... you're doing yourself a disservice if you don't read it.

Quinn offers a fun, and quirky ride full of twists, turns, lovable characters, pop culture references and some seriously healthy relationships. I guess you could say this series is a dream come true for nerd girls everywhere.

Granted picks up where Come True left off, dragging us along for another thrillingly hilarious adventure with Dolly and her new wingman, Arrick. From the snark and sass, to how obviously squeal-worthy Arrick is, this book is un-put-down-able.

Seriously, if you haven't read this series yet, get on it.
