Desire Blackstone enjoys two things in life, cooking and doing whatever or whomever she wants. After a run-in with her ex-girlfriend, she starts to see her love life through a new lens. Her no-sex diet was designed to help her build real connections, but she hadn’t counted on meeting a hot photographer.
Midnight Wolfe has been living the dream, half his time spent at home, the other half traveling the world and taking photos. But after the death of his mother, everything is on hold. He has a decision to make, run his mother’s beloved bakery or continue jet-setting as a freelance photographer for a travel and food blog.
After an engagement party leads to a heated encounter between Desire and Midnight, the chef and the baker struggle to keep the heat in the kitchen, but their undeniable hunger seems to be insatiable. More than that, it’s leading them toward a love neither thought they’d uncover.
I was very interested to see how this story would play out. It was intriguing, though I'll admit that both Desire and Midnight worked my nerves, for different reasons. She was all over the place and he put up with it. And as well intentioned as they were, their friends were waayyy too intrusive for my tastes, and I didn't love how Midnight let the ladies boss him around. The way Desire jumped to conclusions after snooping in his desk drawer was super irksome but I had to remind myself this character was still rather young.
But even with all that, I still kept reading and wanting to find out how it ended. Cool first read from this author (I realize I read this series out of order. lol)
What can I say about Desire and Midnight. I can say they bring the heat in this book from the beginning all the way through to the end. They story of how they meet is hot. The way we follow the relationship bumpy at times is what makes this such a great. And the steam between them is oh so Hot🔥🔥🔥
The ending was well worth reading this story. The pages prior to them getting back together had me on edge. I had to finish it just to be sure they ended on happy.
