With its delightful combination of Vikki Chu’s lovely art and Bec Winnel’s sweet photos, Amanda Wood’s Happy Easter, Little Bunny is sure to become the perennially favorite Easter basket gift.
The first board book in the Baby Animal Tales series pairs the thrill of an Easter egg hunt with adorable baby bunny photos.
On a beautiful spring day, Little Bunny and his friend Mouse hunt for Easter eggs in their garden . . . until a fox tries to spoil their fun. But just when Bunny thinks the excitement is over, he and Mouse find the biggest egg of all right in his very own home.
Adorable! *squeeee* The bunny photos are the cutest, and paired with the charming illustrations it makes a winning combo. Story is fairly ho-hum, bunny and friends go searching for eggs. However, since this is a board book for the very wee ones I do just want to point out that the story took a surprising turn from the cheerful-and-cute to the scary-peril when a "Little Bunny smells something not quite right... and Mouse hurries off in a terrible fright. Quick, Little Bunny, it's time to run! A fox has arrived to spoil our fun!" Some tots might be fine with this, and all ends well, but it kind of came out of nowhere so I provide the warning in case any littles might be disturbed at bedtime/naptime.
We're so proud of you for reading "Happy Easter, Little Bunny"! You learned that sharing and being kind to others makes everyone happier, just like Little Bunny did. Now you know that when you share your toys or help a friend, you're spreading joy around you. That's a wonderful way to make the world brighter! Keep reading and learning new things every day. You're doing amazing, sweetheart!

Brief summary: Bunny and Mouse wake up on Easter Morning looking for eggs until a Fox appears causing them to go back in Bunny's burrow where there is a beautiful surprise. The first board book in the Baby Animal Tales series.
Mom thought the mix of realistic photos (bunny) and sweet illustrations (surroundings, including plants & animals) was cute. 16 month old Leo was mostly uninterested but made it through.
