"Sure, I'll go to Woody O'Flangan's Pub and watch the strippers," I said to my best friend. "Sure, I'll shame your brother off the stage and make him quit."
Famous last words. Now I've got the hots for him, and that's not going to go down well.
Book 2 in the "Once a Week at Woody's" series, out May 10th, 2022!
Linda G. Hill was born and raised an only child in Southern Ontario, Canada. She credits the time she spent alone when she was growing up, reading books and building worlds and characters of her own to keep her company, as the reason she became a writer.
A stay-at-home mom of three beautiful boys, Linda is a graduate of the Writing Program at St. Lawrence College in Brockville, Ontario. Aside from caring for her family, she enjoys traveling the world, eating trout cooked on the barbecue, and, of course, reading.
Rocked is the second book in the Once a Week at Woody's series and it's a great easy-to-read, funny rom-com of a story. I needed a light-hearted read and this was perfect. Monica loves her best friend, Amanda, to bits, and will do pretty much anything to help her. So when she is enlisted to convince Amanda's brother, Seth, to stop working at Woody's, as, shock, horror! a stripper, she begrudgingly agrees. Thing is, you can never guess what your reaction to situations will be, and suddenly her best friend's annoying brother ends up stirring feelings up that are wholly inappropriate for the situation. And the twist about Seth's dad towards the end made it even funnier!
Rocked by Linda G Hill. Once a week at woody's book 2. Seth was just Monica’s best friend’s older brother. Until she sees him dance… A really good read. Good story. I love this series. Can't wait for book 3. 5*.
This is the second book (but works as a standalone, too) in a series revolving around Woody O’Flanagan’s pub….and male strip club. Rocked is a terrific, cute, funny, and sexy friends to lovers story as well as a forbidden, best friend’s brother romance. It even had a cute surprise twist involving the hero’s family history there toward the end. Seth is sweet and sexy and impossible not to love. I especially liked the way he was a heterosexual stripper but had no problem stripping for the fellas on the pub’s men’s night. The stripper scenes were particularly vivid and entertaining. Looking forward to more in the series!
After a gap between the two books it was easy to fall back into Woody's and glad to have the original man on the stage involved passing on his experience to Seth and bringing him into the Woody's family.
A really easy read which was thoroughly enjoyable and although I did want to shake Monica on many occasions as Seth's sister really was a diva expecting her own way but that's the joy of having strong feelings about the characters.
A great quick read and some good laughs along the way, you know what's coming but it doesn't stop the enjoyment. I'd happily have a night at Woody's and join in the fun!
A good 3.5 stars from me and I will happily pick up Linda's next instalment at Woody's!
Rocked is the second book in the Once a Week at Woody's series and can be read as a stand alone . It's a funny, easy-to-read, light, rom-com entertaining story .
I would like to thank the TBC Reviewers Request Group & the author for providing an ARC of this book in exchange for my honest and fair review
Seth is a male stripper trying to hide his occupation. His sister finds out and enlists her best friend to try to tell Seth into quitting. But that plan backfires when Seth and Monica are slapped in the face with their mutual attraction.
A fabulous feel good romance! This is the second book in the series and I just adored it, I laughed along with the characters and felt myself cheering their successes A fabulous read
